It's the toyota 2C engine (out of a Hiace i belive) They out last Mitsubishi engine 3 times over. My dad bought in 1992 and sold it in 2000 when we moved to the U.S. My childhood was watching my dad working on it. I checked local registration and it's still on the road and it showes that vehicle still have that engine.

What was your MPG before the turbo? And what was it after?
Haven’t installed the new turbo yet, mine pulls hard so no need.
Definitely cruises better down the road, I’m thinking the main difference in MPG would come from more air. Keep ur filters clean.
