The third portion is exactly what's going on with my knee! It's so helpful knowing what they'll do for my surgery as the doctor wasn't very clear on this. I'm getting this surgery soon so I hope I can get back to the sports and activities i was once able to do.

Ten years of herniated disc, sciatica, since traction or decompression relieved pain, decided to stay stretched, crutches to get around, two months later, sciatica was gone, just a suggestion, if it feels good, do it!

I hurt my knee playing football when I was 22. Yrs old. doctor said I toured my cartridge I really don't remember but he said I didn't need surgery but my knee never was the same it took years for knee to straighten up. And now I am 42. I get up and down the stairs a lot from painting houses and at the end of the day and my knee is swollen and it feels like I can't even bend my knees. After a few days if I'm not working my legs go back to normal but my leg is never been normal before I got hurt. Any suggestions?

Get an MRI. My doctor said the same. To do PT and it should solve on its own. I pushed for the MRI and it showed a loose body, and 40% less cartilage on one of my knees... I can't come back to sports and it's been 5 months of on and off and swelling like you said. I think ima do the surgery

Hi Doctor, I have been watching your videos, I am big fan of your work.
I have been diagnosed of Cartilage fissuring and on MRI below is the result :
" Patella is normal in position. Extensor mechanism is intact. Mild lateral patellofemoral chondral softening. Focal high grade inferior central and lateral patellar high grade chondral fissuring measuring 2.2 cm transverse by 1.2 cm craniocaudal with subtle subchondral cystic change and marrow oedema. Articular cartilage otherwise and patellofemoral ligaments are intact. "
I am taking supplements like Collagen and Omega 3 to repair followed by knee exercise ,
do you think it will repair of its own. I have seen improvement over time but will i recover fully ? I am a sportsperson , i play basketball . Please advice. Thanks
