Thank you for actually showing the Knee and locations. Most videos show pictures or diagrams, and explanations that are hard to relate to for the average person. Your video helps quickly diagnose the possible issue with a REAL Knee!
Had a patella dislocation around October last year during training. Got back to training around February, and it wasn't untill recently that I've felt the area above my kneecap hurt while doing everyday things like walking, bending my knees and climbing up stairs. It's good that there are people in the world willing to make a short video on this type of things. Stay Blessed ❤
I had Osgood-Schlatter Disease as a kid, now 40 years later after the shutdown and loss of leg strength I have knee pain in the same knee from adolescence. Your video helped a lot. Thanks.
The only video that has explained Pes Anserine Bursitis. Nowhere have I been able to find out what that pain is, not even from specialists. Thank you so much.
Omg . You are amazing at explaining all the knee pains. I've done every injury to both of my knees From breaking my knee, ACL, PCL in both knees smashing my knee cap you name it I've had it. I've had loads of surgery and years of physio over the years this mostly to sport and some silly moments in my life. I just trying to stop the pain and how not to aggravate my knees, shopping trolleys after worst and shiny floors as well as high heels your small adjustments makes a massive difference I think how you explained the pain in the knee has been very helpful and more of it should be in doctors surgeries to help patients Thank you and keep up the good work
Thanks Yvonne, you're very kind. You really have done everything haven't you? I thought you must have been a professional skier, or some hardcore sports maniac to do all that! Yikes!
@@BodyFixExercises No skiing but Judo, trampolining, gymnastics, rugby coaching All sports coaching and fitness. The funny injuries are my German Shepherd ran and head-butted my knee, fly fishing, shopping at Tesco's with a trolley, climbing a tree and slipping in the bath. There are some more . I was told by my consultant that I was the first woman in Shropshire to do double ACL. He had contacts with professional brace makers and I had to special braces made very lightweight I could carry on working wearing them, even on the trampoline and the other sports. Nick name was RoboCop Dealing with the wear and tear and waiting for new knees. Anyway there are alot of people that are worse off. Again thankyou for your great video. Stay safe. X
42 seconds and I already learned what my issue is... I don't do much running anymore and do mostly cycling/walking but I started doing squats and I get that pain so... thanks! Looking at that vid on how to fix it!
@@Msteez Runner's knee. Used to run when younger, started doing strength exercises (including lots of squats) and started getting a pain at my knee-cap. Turns out cycling for 6 hours a week and doing lots of squats can lead to interesting results... massaging the quad and a few stability exercises fixed it.
@@Msteez I used boards to angle my feet to 25 degrees (more or less) and did squats that way, bout 15 x 3 sets a day to start and did some quad extensions on a machine at the gym mostly. I also think that slow-down in intensity probably allowed it to heal more than the actual building of stability... getting old sucks. Am 36 btw and worked out/did sports my entire life so knee pain is not unusual but I would prefer to not have it if at all possible... I also started skating again so not sure if that had something to do with it.
Omgosh THANK YOU! I have a Meniscus tear!!! Definitely! You described it exactly! I don’t want to pay for an MRI, because I live in the States and Healthcare is outrageous. I’m going to try to google to see if there’s anything I can do to help it and not make it worse.
Excellent video. Very descriptive yet concise. I found it to be just the right amount of detail to help people determine the kind of pain they may be experiencing.
Found your videos very informative. I have knee pain around the knee cap and back. Can't straighten it without killing me. Had x rays and doing pt after working 10 to 11hours a day, sometimes 7 days and still hurts ! Thank you for at least showing me what it could be! Much appreciated from Spokane, Washington ! Oh and I go up and down stairs
I want to put this out for all youngsters IF YOUR EXPERIENCING KNEE PAIN WITHOUT ANY INJURY OR SUDDENLY YOUR HAVING A GROWTH SPURT AND ITS THAT TIMR OF YOUR LIFE WHERE YOU GROW RAPIDLY DONT STUNT YOUR GROWTH EAT AND SLEEP WELL AND IT WILL GO ON ITS OWN

Thank you so much bro exactly my problem. It just started a week ago when I woke up and I can’t bend it back all the way without a bad pain. I really hope it goes away soon.
Great video, thanks! There are so many videos out there on how to treat specific kinds of knee pain, but this is the only clear one I've found to help diagnose which kind of pain I have in the first place. Invaluable!
An excellent explanation, please which excercise will work for my knee cap swelling, steevness, knee sides pains,,pain movement from one part of the kee to the other. Though i had compound fractured in the affected leg some years back , but back on my feet.
This is the most thorough video of knee pain. I have had knee pain most of my life. It kills when i do squats but everyone tells me ...including Phy. Therapists dont stop doing squats.

Great video! Strangely I don't have any knee pain during normal everyday activities, but when I don't get enough sleep I *always* have pain in my left knee like with patellar tendonitis...
The meniscus tear is exactly what I have thought I had for years. I fell directly on my knee and heard a pop. This was in 2010. I didn’t have insurance so I never got it checked out. I have a physical job so that knee hurt for about a year. Over the years of strength training it, it only bothers me maybe once a month depending on my activity levels. I even have done multiple half marathon and 1 marathon on it and it’s been not bad. One day I think I’ll have it confirmed with an MRI if it ever gets worse. That spot inside the knee is where the pain originates. Often at night if my leg pillow doesn’t stay in between there that spot will be sore.
@@entitiessoul he didnt teared his kneecap (nor you can because its bone), he tore his meniscus which you can live without much problem even with a tore meniscus (depending of the severity)
One of my kneecaps ( just that bone) has been crushed, no surgery available, I was hoping a similar injury might be addressed. Thank you for helping those you could / my prayers go out for everyone else, too💞
Thank you for a concise explanation of the possibilities. I wouldn't say any of these match mine, though. I have always been active through sports and outdoor activities, so at age 60+ my joints have seen their share of use. I have noticeable general swelling across the knee above the joint, stiffness to the point of limited motion, and a pain throughout the joint when under stress to the point I no longer trust a natural stride on stairs. An orthopedic surgeon took x-rays and diagnosed reduced cartilage to a point of near bone-on-bone and the associated joint irritation. I don't understand though the soft tissue issues surrounding the joint.
General swelling, stiffness, and general pain certainly sounds like osteoarthritis. This puts stress on the local soft tissue, for sure, and can result in inflammation too. Osteoarthritis is hard to help. Decreasing any foot over-pronation, and any reduced ankle mobility, might help.
I've got bone cancer, I've had MRI and ultrasound of the right knee. No one can explain this crippling pain that I get in the medial side of my knee. I'm now beginning to get this pain in the same location but on the left knee. I've just had a full spinal MRI as they think it could be nerve compression due to cancer. I also have Mets throughout my spine and in both hips. Cancer is throughout my skeleton. But this crippling pain is out of this world. I scream when it happens..they tell me there is nothing wrong with my knee or maybe a little arthritis,..but I am at wits end when this pain happens. Surely if it's arthritis I'd be experiencing this pain all the time!
Hey Tania. Geez , I feel for you. I doubt the pain is arthritis. It would be pretty constant if it was, as you say. Sounds like it's probably nerve irritation from cancer in the spinal canal. Sorry I can't be of more help.
@@johnnygizmo1130 an epiphany moment when I read your comment about checking my sciatic nerve…. as a matter of fact my sciatic nerve has been bothering me longer than my knee pain 😳 Now I will be addressing my sciatic nerve more diligently to see if that helps , Thank You 😊
Ho Tania! I hope you read my message. Read the book “The Emotion Code” by Bradley Nelson and try the technique. It might be that trapped emotion is causing your knew pain. Try even if you are skeptical and let me know what happens
As another person who screams in pain, let me say that there's not "nothing wrong" or "a little" of anything. You know that, but just in case it helps to hear someone validate it.
I get quad tendonitis and iliotibial band syndrome. It's all because of my back (which was injured.) Never hurt my knees. I find that yoga has made a major improvement. This is a very informative video. Thank you!
Try to stretch and strength while stretched, your iliopsoas and your quads mostly the rectus femoris. you can thank me later ;) while you hurt your back your hip had to tighten up, so in the front thats regulated alot from the rectus femoris. which also is the cause of most knee problems around the front of the knee. jumpers knee, knee pain above patella etc.
I might have to try yoga. I get nerve pain in my back, I've had whiplash from a car accident years ago, and now my right knee is acting up, just on the outside of it, with crunchy sounds. It sounds terrible. It hurts to sit and get back up.
Hello sir My name is hania And I'm 17 years old I get knee pain my right knee pain while straighten or extending Can u plz suggest treatment for it Thank you❤
I think I have Iliotinial Band Syndrome but I’d also like to add my knee has been hurting for months I’m not sure when it started but I guess I assumed it would just go away but I’m starting to think it won’t and I’m also frustrated because I had just seen my dr recently for an annual check up and I didn’t think to mention it but now I’m wishing I had. I work all day almost every day and my schedule isn’t very predicable so it's difficult to reschedule
Thank you. I've gotten much more help here than the two weeks I'd have had to wait just to see the nurse practitioner since my family doctor was on holiday. That's where Canada's health care is at now, and what I got for caving in to husband telling me to call the doctor. We did have an after-hours walk-in clinic two town elections back (long before the pandemic).
Great video I’m adamant that I have osteoarthritis in my knee and other joints of my body. I’ve had this problem which has gradually got worse over the last four or five years and I keep getting fobbed off by my doctor as having fibromyalgia. Is there anything I can say to my doctor which will make them look into my problem further than just what he’s saying? As it’s winter in England at the moment and I’m in agony I’m 38 years old and it stops me from doing a lot with my children. It’s the most debilitating thing ever but your videos are great and have really helped me get a better understanding. Thank you ❤
I bet they're really good knees in a tough situation. Give them some love. Rub your lower ITB tract daily for a week and see if you feel an improvement.... ua-cam.com/video/g0qmx_0enAA/v-deo.html
I know I knew a replacement, but timing is really bad… my worst issue is the pain & inability to stand & bear weight on this knee after sitting! Doesn’t matter really how long I sit. But it’s a painful, scary & frustrating issue! I can’t get out of car & stand after sitting!!
What a brilliant way to help us diagnose ourselves. I instantly picked my complaint and yes, I am female and overweight. Thank you so much for your forward thinking.
I'm a male at 6'2" 180 and in good shape, but 39 years old. I learned today that I might also be a women and over-weight because my knee has been bothering me in this same spot the last couple days.
Thanks for the video, ive been wondering what was wrong with my right knee.I bent down one day, went to stand up and my knee was stuck so I kinda kicked it out straight and it hurt a little, nothing terrible. It lingered though and happened 2 more times in the next couple months. It eventually went away to the point where I forgot about it, so I joined a jiu jitsu class and literally the first time I bent down my knee locked up so I once again kinda kicked it out but I did as discretely as possible bc it was embarrassing to be the new guy and cant straighten his leg before he gets to practice anything! Needless to say I quit after that and now Im pretty much good to go.
This was a very helpful video about understanding knee injury, swelling, and a better understanding what issues are happening. Thank you very informative!!!
I was diagnosed after many many years with PFS. The best way to describe the pain is like my knee caps are burning when I do squats, walk up stairs etc. I workout but find leg days challenging when they include lots of squats, lunges etc. Working on strengthening my glutes and abductors (outside ones?) as they are weak and my previous physio said that was contributing to the pain. Definitely quad dominant, although they also hurt during some exercises. Not to mention my right knee sounds like a bowl of rice crispies whenever I have to squat down for anything lol. Just need to find some exercises to help strengthen now which don't take too long as my schedule is already busy!
Try this... How To Fix Pain In The Front Of The Knee. (Runner's knee) ua-cam.com/video/g0qmx_0enAA/v-deo.html If you're short on time just do the outer thigh rub
I woke up from surgery on a shoulder and started screaming in pain. Despite still being heavily influenced by the anaesthetic I was able to name the area of muscle in pain, the Iliotibial band which must have confused the hell out of the surgery staff. However I trained a ladies soccer team, which included a number of nurses and they taught me what the muscle was that was hurting and how to prepare it for competition. I believe that being on my side for the surgery, the muscle was overstretched for the length of the surgery causing the pain.
I like your clear explanations. I have a very painful shooting pain on the right knee, in the right side of the patella only if I go down on the knee and put pressure on the knee cap. Obviously I am not tempted to do that anymore. There is a lot of numbness in the right side of the right knee too. I have been to a doctor and have an appointment coming up next month. But so far, no real diagnosis. Just heat and ice advice.
I have chronic knee Tendonitis in both knees. I stopped squatting weights and the knee pain is exactly the same. I went on an all meat, ultra-low carb diet and still the same. Short of going PRP and Stem Cell Therapy. I can't seem to find anyone who discusses viable rehabilitation techniques. The fact that you even mentioned it is rare, so thank you for that!
Tendon pain responds very slowly but if you do the right thing it'll get there. Watch this... How To Treat Patellar Tendinopathy (the tendon below the knee cap) & Quadriceps Tendinopathy (pain just above knee cap) ua-cam.com/video/MkPwsb-rQwU/v-deo.html
Lmao me too. I want to know about knee pain starting randomly with no injury a week ago, where the knee in question started clicking, hurt a lot for a couple days, got a little better, got worse again, and now is very stiff and achy. Especially when trying to bend leg back.
Thanks for the useful info sir ..I have knee pain in medial side of my knees .and also front part ..but as u said in 1st ptellofemoral syndrome there is slight pain while sqauting too also little sound coming while flexing knee...usually it had subsided but again started after long standing ..can it b due to more weight?also after long hours of cross sitting also there is pain while extending legs which used to b not thr earlier 🙂any advice would be great 😇
Extra weight certainly isn't going to help. Sitting with your legs crossed pushes the kneecap into the bones underneath, so definitely start there. I couldn't say more without examining it sorry
Thanks for the video, but not sure it diagnoses what I am experiencing? Four years ago (at 68 years old) I had what we "think" was piraformis syndrome in my right hip (supposedly from doing deep leg presses at the gym) - never knew pain like that could last that long! I Was stuck at home alone for over a month. I could not even get up out of a recliner, had to slide to the floor, crawl to a table and pull myself up to a standing position. Being overweight at the time, this put a lot of stress on my left knee to stand up (my guess). After six weeks of this routine and virtually no sleep, it landed me in the hospital with pleural effusion for 14 days! The pain from my right hip in the hospital was so severe, I did not even notice the drains in my back or what I was in there for! I started physical therapy when I got out, lost the excess weight, but the past couple years I notice that when I stand on my left leg, bend it a few degrees, hold on to a chair and twist my body side to side, my left knee crunches with some minor pain, like it is loose? Otherwise, it never hurts... walking, lifting heavy weights, elliptical, inversion table, etc. - only when I perform that test, and sometimes in the shower when I twist with knees bent. No idea what this might be? Right knee is 100%.
Omg, what a terrible ordeal you went through That sounds like it's a problem with your popliteus muscle. The popliteus muscle is the muscle that locks your knee in the last few degrees of extension and it does that with a slight twisting motion. So try some Popliteal rehab. I'm sure you'll find some exercises about it on UA-cam. Good luck!
Thank you! I am getting a very VERY painful outer knee and it is probably the outer tendon. I have severe arthritis and severe degenerative bone disease, but this is a pain I have never felt. It is sharp, agonizing, and feels like someone has lit a match and is burning me from the inside. Your explanation is better than any other I have seen.
Yes, hips affect knees a lot. I've already done the video! This exercise is awesome for hips and glutes. Changed my life... ua-cam.com/video/Q48eY3VlQF4/v-deo.html
Sometimes, a tear in the cartilage will lift and bend into a position that gives you symptoms. But if you're lucky it can sometimes flatten out again and the symptoms can go away. Hopefully it stays like that!
Great video! You explain everything so interesting. Thank you. Can you do a video on Achilles tendons? I’ve had two surgery’s and I still don’t understand what happened.
Loving your gentle explanation-better understanding helps have an educated conversation w doctor..they always want to pile you up with medication & surgery...it help with decision making..on treatments for everyday living- I live with this body singularly. My pain talks to me..there is a great difference between a groan, cry, tantrum or electrical spark..listen to your body's check engine light. Thank you...
A bit surprised OCD wasn't on the list. Having had OCD grad iv on both knees for over 20 years i can say i have multiple sorts of pain around knees (and my whole body) since most of exercises are too painful to do. But being under 55 yrs i am glad i have managed this far without knee replacements. When spotted early enough it could have not gotten this bad as releasing tendons would have allowed the knee cap to be on the correct place. But thanks to general doctors if they don't know where/what to look for they tend to classify it as mental problem. Maybe not everywhere but these kind of diagnoses are given often in Finland. Sadly. And now i try to avoid the people in white coats and white uniforms as much as possible.
Great video and very helpful! I hit my knee fairly hard the other week on the lower knee cap and was getting better until i started running on it again too soon a few days later and have made it worse.....now the pain is a sharp pain under the top of the knee cap...and i cant even run 50m now.....can straighten and bend leg fine but will cllick when straighten....any ideas 🙏
God, thank you for healing the bones that have been broken, thank you that all bones in your army shall live and rejoice in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen 🙏
Right now it’s been 8 months since I had a motorcycle accident injury to my right knee. No torn meniscus, ACL, or anything else just massive swelling from impact. I’ve been doing physical therapy at home myself. I’ve experienced muscle wasting in the entire right leg loss of about 2 inches circumference around thigh and 1 inch on calf. leg extensions give pain under kneecap when locked. Even right now I can still not touch my heel to my butt , I can only get up 90° then begin to feel a slight ache and very tight in the knee.
wonderful explaination...I think I have popliteus strain ....what is the solution for this ... I have pain while bending and straightening the knee ..on the upper right just above the knee cap and upper right of calf muscle
This is one of the most visually informative physio video I have ever seen. And, it has also semi eased my mind that I havent torn/strained my meniscus but rather have irritated the per anserine (have the puffyness you in the area you pointed at).
Pes Anserine issues are surprisingly common. Slow, body weight, Sumo Squats can really help, by eccentrically stretching the muscles that attach to that area. (As long as you can do it comfortably.) And icing the area👍
I had extremely intense, sudden knee pain - to the point I couldn’t walk to toilet close by. Went to ER via ambulance - was in surgery within 5 hours of arriving. Was septic arthritis. Was in hospital for 15 days on IV antibiotics. Still feeling the effects 6 mths later
Holy heck. Hope you OK. I swear I have an infection in knee along with the injuries. Have appt Friday.. oh my..like how did ya feel and what happened to cause this if you don't mind me asking
What a great video. Thank you so much, man. Google is almost useless these days. First time I've ever seen iliotibial band syndrome even with all those advanced search phrases and techniques, but it feels unbelievable finally knowing what's happening. Thought I was low on synovial fluid and close to early arthritis with the clicking and crunching. Both knees sometimes too. Was upping glucosamine and glycine, hoping for the best. Best wished to you, and subbed.
Fantastic Explaining types of knee pain!i mine is inner knee puffy swelling suddenly I got this pain driving for long periods no it has gotten better cause I baby it changed shoes for more support weight loss ongoing next MRI Thank You!!
Twisted my left knee several years back and developed knee side pains, gradually I recovered from that when again I twisted my left knee some 18 months ago getting out of the car. This time the pain on the inside of the knee was severe, couldn't sleep with my knees together for many months, recently the pain has subsided but now have a niggling pain in front of the knee just below the knee cap, noticeable when getting up from a chair or climbing the stairs. My walking is now impaired due to not being able to bend my left leg in a stride. Hopefuly exercises will eventually rid me of my final pain and restore my correct walking style.
I have almost everything you mentioned. Thank you for explaining that. One of my biggest problems is the back of my knee. If I stretch too much with my knee fully straight, it feels like I almost pulled the back of my knee like a pulled muscle, and it will last for a few hours, or days. Then it's like nothing happened until my next yoga class. Any advice would be great, other than quit doing yoga. haha
Sounds like a Gastrocnemius strain (muscle or tendon) which is the calf muscle that crosses the back of the knee. Just look up "Gastrocnemius Rehab" on UA-cam.
I have something very similar in back of knee and bunching sensation when bend it… and weight on knee causes pain on both side’s of it and clicking! Joy ! 🤣
Have osteoarthritis in my knee for a number of years, but haven't had pain for a long time, just the grinding noise when climbing stairs. However I learned a week ago that running (had to do a mad dash to remove something off the road), is not a good idea. Unable to squat down without pain for past week. So here's a tip. If you have osteoarthritis, don't run 👍
I have popliteus strain and have a bakers cyst with arthritis . I have had a mri which confirms I have a meniscus tear but a holistic approach I avoided surgery . You described each pain throughly so thanks 😊
Thanks so much for this video, just seen it. 38yr old UK male, had knee MRI 2018 (nothing to see I’m told other than age appropriate wear and tear). Had to stop running five years ago due to awful pain on joint line inner edge, both knees. Ran all my life, was doing two 10ks a week in 2018 after a three year pause and then after three months, bang, unable to walk due to pain and eventually realised it was the running/knees. Stopped that and it went gradually. Have cycled ever since which is fine but doctors told me at the time that it was bursitis - yes the PES was a bit sore but nothing like the whole meniscus. I’d love to be able to run again as the cycling does nothing for my bone density. Interested if you had any pointers.
For inner knee pain like that, on both sides, at your age, with clear MRI... I'd be looking at your feet and hips. These three things will cause inner knee pain: 1. Foot over pronation 2. Restricted ankle movement 3. Glute Medius weakness These 2 videos cover all three of those things... ua-cam.com/video/31nL62URhdE/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/RFMckfKMUCc/v-deo.html
I've been dealing with various knee issues since I was 12. I couldn't remember the names of them but your video identified them nicely. I progressed from Osgood-Schlatter Disease to Patellar Tendonitis to Pes Anserine Bursitis and knee surgery and led to Patellar tracking disorder and Osteoarthritic Knee Pain with the occasional burst of Quadriceps Tendinopathy mixed inbetween. I thought I had had it all but this video shows there's a few issues yet to appear on my knee pain bingo card.
Thanks so much for this great information? The fact that you used your beautiful knee for the anatomy speaks volumes. I have a clear understanding about my painful knee. I was involve in a car accident, never did a Orthopedic surgeon explain to me in detail after the arthroscope he did. Your information is detailed and to the point. All my blessings and take care from Cape Town, South Africa ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💐
I am a ice hockey player and slid into the boards very hard with knees first. A week later I noticed that on top of the knee cap it was almost a tingly burning feeling playing basketball. Playing ice hockey it doesn’t hurt when playing but it does when I fall on my knees. Also, anything that impacts that spot hurts pretty bad and kinda feel that burning feeling too but only for a few seconds. I didn’t feel this till a week after the collision. It’s been hurting for about 3 weeks but has got slightly better. This is on my left knee. Any idea what this could be?
Probably Bursitis. Bursa a little sacs of fluid that sit over the knee to stop the tendons from rubbing too much. The impact probably inflamed them. There are various bursa. So, for example, depending on location you make have a bit of Prepatellar Bursitis or Infra patellar bursitis or supra patellar bursitis
1:40 I'm getting exactly pain on side knee where you mentioned. I went through ACL reconstruction Surgery and Partial Menisectomy on 28 march 2022 . Now I'm getting pain on side of my knee . What should I do now??
I don't know without your full history and examining your knee, sorry. You may need to strengthen your glute medius to take pressure off your inner knee
I really found this helpful. Currently solving a knee pain - I think caused by not walking regularly, then walking too much. It is improving. Thanks for the video.
Great information. I do wish you could have shown more issues on the outer upper right corner of the knee. I’ve received 5 different diagnosis w no clear answers. MRI stated 2 enchondromas, other doc said cartilage pulled away from bone, neuritis, arthritis. There’s swelling and stiffness in the tissue. No fluid in the knee.

After exercise to strengthen ankles which worked amazing. Developed clicking inside left knee. Carried on playing football twice a week through pain. Right knee then feels tight, painful above knee & grinding. Assuming right knee compensating for left. I can no longer play football for 8 weeks. I’m going to try your exercises for upper knee pain 🤞
One of the most useful videos I have found. After my hip replacement my knee acted up on the same leg. Now that the swelling has gone, I now have a chance to investigate where the pain is coming from. I get a bit of EDS but not sure if this is the clicking and discomfort I have been feeling. Thank you so much.
thank you, idk how many doctors I've been to that immediately stop me when I start to describe knee pain to just call it arthritis or something that can only be resolved with pain meds after weeks or months of waiting for an appointment. One gave me an mri when I was 28 and found a "small meniscus tear that should heal on it's own" and it's never been 100% since then, better after researching PT options doing daily strengthening exercises but never 100%. Recently I experienced new sharper pain above the knee cap and your description of quadriceps tendonitis matches what I was read already.

You are amazing at explaining all the knee pains.
I've done every injury to both of my knees
From breaking my knee, ACL, PCL in both knees smashing my knee cap you name it I've had it.

So very helpful, I have two meniscus tears, I thought I was getting a reaction while doing squats, no more squats for me. Thank you for the info 😉
42 seconds and I already learned what my issue is... I don't do much running anymore and do mostly cycling/walking but I started doing squats and I get that pain so... thanks! Looking at that vid on how to fix it!
Good luck with it Adam!
which one was it?
@@Msteez Runner's knee. Used to run when younger, started doing strength exercises (including lots of squats) and started getting a pain at my knee-cap. Turns out cycling for 6 hours a week and doing lots of squats can lead to interesting results... massaging the quad and a few stability exercises fixed it.
@@adam346 can you share what the stability exercises were?
@@Msteez I used boards to angle my feet to 25 degrees (more or less) and did squats that way, bout 15 x 3 sets a day to start and did some quad extensions on a machine at the gym mostly. I also think that slow-down in intensity probably allowed it to heal more than the actual building of stability... getting old sucks. Am 36 btw and worked out/did sports my entire life so knee pain is not unusual but I would prefer to not have it if at all possible... I also started skating again so not sure if that had something to do with it.

You can definitely live with a meniscus tear. There are various forms and shapes of tear, and with strengthening you can get by

Check your sciatic nerve.
Thank you!
Interesting. Thanks for sharing!
Ugh that IT band can suck it. I’ve been dealing with that issue for years.

No worries!
I'm always telling my knee surgeon that it's always nice to know why my knee hurts. Knowledge is power when it comes to pain.
I like to know why too.

Sounds terrible!

Man, that sounds tough. But if there is no structural damage you should get back to your best with rehab.

These three things will cause inner knee pain:
1. Foot over pronation
2. Restricted ankle movement
3. Glute Medius weakness

Really?? Sounds like the full monty😳
Wow hope u feel ok most days
Thank you!! Very short and crisp video. It’s also full of very important differences. Thank you!!
You're very welcome!
No one has ever told me I have beautiful knees! 🤣🙏 Thanks
@@BodyFixExercises pleasure. Take care
3:06 I feel attacked 😂❤
😅
😂
THAT FEELING WHEN KNEE SURGERY IS TOMORROW
😬
1:40 I'm getting exactly pain on side knee where you mentioned. I went through ACL reconstruction Surgery and Partial Menisectomy on 28 march 2022 . Now I'm getting pain on side of my knee . What should I do now??
I don't know without your full history and examining your knee, sorry. You may need to strengthen your glute medius to take pressure off your inner knee
I really found this helpful. Currently solving a knee pain - I think caused by not walking regularly, then walking too much. It is improving. Thanks for the video.
Glad it was helpful!
I learned something today: Never do sports.
😆
And get it more😂😂
I never do any sports in my adult life. I don’t even exercise. Yet split on ice and sprained my knee.😅
😂should have warned me
Yeah I have been playing basketball and I got a above my knee injury
I have runners knee 😢
How do we fix it
Anybody else laugh at the thumbnail?
Didn't see it until now. Wondered why people were commenting,🤣
@@BodyFixExercises Thanks for posting these by the way. The one you posted about should blade/rib pain has really helped me. 👍
Try the thigh rub in this. Is day it's from overly tight outer thigh muscles which is extremely common and doesn't show up on scans

I love your videos, always gives me a starting point to attempt to alleviate pain, your videos have saved me a bunch of money at the doctor!
Great! Glad to be of assistance! 🙌
Happy to help!
@@BodyFixExercises I get something similar only that the inside muscle is extremely thin and painful at times I need to strengthen it
thank you, idk how many doctors I've been to that immediately stop me when I start to describe knee pain to just call it arthritis or something that can only be resolved with pain meds after weeks or months of waiting for an appointment.
Thank you so much! ❤ You have been more helpful than a bunch of doctors and an MRI ❤️
Happy to help!
