Even though Roger Ebert loved the Star Wars movies, not to mention Jaws, Superman, and Indiana Jones, he was frustrated with the blockbuster mentality shortly after these movies came out. I have a pocket sized book about his four stars reviews taken from the 1989 version of his annual video guide series, and he put in an article on how Star Wars changed Hollywood and he concluded that in the 70s, they were making The Great American Film, but after Star Wars, they were making The Great American Hit. I think he's right.

It got much worse.... Roger would be horrified at what his beloved family film studio Disney Corporation has become. He'd hate wokeness like the rest of us.

You have completely blown my mind with the "Covenant from Halo are basically the Gungans" argument. How did no one else notice?
