My 2010 Prius with 175,000 miles just died. In comes the 2023 redesigned Prius. I AM LOVING IT!!! incredibly fun to drive with all the bells and whistles.
I have a deposit down for one, I can't wait to upgrade my 2010 prius to this. I'm glad you mentioned that thing about not having to worry about the gas engine kicking in too soon, that's the most annoying thing about driving my current one.
I can't believe how much I love the new Prius, I want one. I currently own a 19 Corolla hatch and I'll probably see if I can get my hands on one of these to replace it eventually.
Waited 2 years to get my 2024. Had to put a 1k deposit down and pay a dealer markup of 4k. Simply because i got tired of waiting for my desired color combo to arrive. The dealer that charges 4k over happens to receive more inventory…. My 2009 prius was going strong witj no major repairs at 400k when I totaled it. This new one is gorgeous. Im sure ill love it, but am disappointed in the headspace and smaller interior.
Great walk around video - thanks! I look forward to getting my hands on one to replace my 2014 Prius. A couple comments/questions I haven’t seen covered anywhere… 1) are the memory seats in the Limited also linked to the wing mirrors (I think so?), and the 1 / 2 seat programming (physical buttons on door) also linked to the driver profile I have see in the infotainment, and the physical/digital key? 2) I used to think the digital mirror was over engineering, but now I see if it a technology advancement of a rear wiper, particularly when paired with a camera washer (which I have heard the new Prius has, but nobody has really paid attention to). How well does the camera washer work? With a decent digital mirror and washer, it renders the smaller rear window and lack of rear wiper irrelevant. 🙂 Having a solution to keep the camera clean is valuable for anywhere that gets snow, like where I am in Canada. 😉. Thanks!
There are two memory seat options but I did not check if they are linked to the mirrors. I’d think they would be honestly. As for the digital rear view mirror, I didn’t look for a washer unfortunately.
Most vehicles for Toyota you have to put them in the adjust left/right mirror (not center) position and they will tilt in reverse. Not sure if memory is linked to them.
@@djplonghead5403I since picked up a 23 Prime since my comment last year, and unfortunately in my region (Canada) the mirrors are not linked to the driver profile, nor do they tilt down on reverse (to my knowledge!). Pretty sure it is the same for the US market as well. I know other international markets have electric auto-folding mirrors, but not sure if that changes the memory or tilt operation.
@@kevinsargent6282 I wonder if the Toyota Crown has that feature. I know the Signia gets it when you upgrade to the advanced tech package. I know that Lexus SUV’s have it. I don’t know if it is a Toyota feature or even a sedan feature.
Since this isn’t a plug in hybrid, you don’t need to plug it in to charge it. The engine and brake regeneration system will recharge it. The Prius prime is a plug in hybrid which will have a charge port
On your video I wondered why the 12.3 screen seemed to be furiously vibrating / shaking while you were driving? Was the road bumpy? It didn’t look like anything else was shaking. Anyway thank you for the info… I have a2013 Prius V…but going to upgrade to the Limited AWD…It’ll be great. Update….4/19…bought an X1 BMW…Toyota could not deliver this car…could not order it and be guaranteed I’d get what I ordered (and paid for)…went to 3 Toyota dealers…all could not guarantee delivery any time soon…1 dealer wanted a 10% markup over MSRP..one told me to be flexible because they never know what they will get from Toyota…and they can’t control what they get via customer orders . Any trim level orders wouldn’t be guaranteed…I just got fed up with Toyota dealers and Toyota…customers are not their number 1 priority.
Yep that’s all part of Toyota safety sense 3.0 which is standard. It also has front cross traffic alerts and will let you know if traffic ahead of you is moving if you are distracted
I sat in one last week, I don't like the front seat headroom.... I'm 5'10 and my hair touches the roof......find that the roofline is very raked....looks great from the outside.....but it sacrificed interior headroom.....if you are over 5'10 you will not feel comfortable .....just my opinion.
I will wait for the 2024 model when they'll add blinker on side view mirrors just because my current 2009 car has it. I'm not going to downgrade after waiting 14 years for a new car. Lol.
Agreed, you pretty much can’t see mirror turn signals most of the time anyway, and they’re more of a cosmetic touch, not that much of a functionality touch. Not only that, I doubt it costs that much to pay someone to install aftermarket mirror signals
I have blinkers on my 2006 Jetta side mirrors. It’s a safety issue. Makes no sense to eliminate. Only single storage behind passenger lacks convenience of dual seat storage. No fog light! No dual climate!

I drive a 2015 Prius and totally agree which was exactly why I pointed it out haha. This new hybrid system is really impressive
Awesome video!! Love this car so much. Thank you for posting!
Thank you!

Please tell me how to turn the sensors off so I can go through the carwash in peace?
Perfect review thanks!!!
To me I think of the body design as a knock off of the Tesla. Lol but cost alot less. Amazing new car. Toyota always comes through 😊
I was hoping to find out where the rear defogger is. I'll have to study the manual again.

*LOVE THIS* #Prius 🟨🟧🟥🟪🟩
Is the annoying shake your camera or the car screen?
What color are these leather seats?

@@PushingPistons Thx for the reply. Great to see the memory seat feature, was just wondering how ‘integrated’ they really are… thanks. 👍🏻

Oh and our phones wont charge in that little charging pocket unless we take our cases off. What case do u have? Iphone 13 and 14.
Does it have auto lane driving? Like Elantra 2023
Yes. Safety sense 3.0
🚙EV with engine👍
Where do you charge the car if it’s a hybrid? Sorry I’m just getting into cars and don’t know much.

Do we have camera shows up when you do right indicator to see blind spot?
Unfortunately this car does not have that feature

So that was the camera I was filming on shaking. It’s a wide angle so it distorts the edge making the screen look like it was moving when it wasn’t.
Doses it have lane departure assist and smart cruise control?

What if they NEVER upgrade 🤔 😳
@@x3m40i5 It's Toyota so they will. They always add extra item. They might also add rear passenger vent too.
I wonder how it would rally 🤔
🏎️
Did you feel like it had an annoying cvt tranny whine?
This car is really nice otherwise. Easily last 300k
Not that I noticed honestly. While it gave me the power I wanted to driving around It did feel like a cvt, but that was expected
I’m not seeing the hammerhead, sorry 😂
The "Limited" version is for lazy people with "limited" driving skill. 😆
