Perverting the course of justice by outright lying a member of the public came in and reported the incident (the PC denies knowing he was a policeman at that station) little wonder there is no trust in the police. Caught red handed, on film, he should be disciplined and reprimanded.

    • @cypeman8037

You can only pervert the course of justice by either telling fibs under oath or on an official court document, not by standing in the street telling fibbs.
His honesty and integrity as a police office, as per their code of ethics, is under question.

Lying is allowable except in court. Legally the police can lie in the course of questioning and its not an offence. You do it and it is. So for many it's habitual he was lying to justify the questioning. Alarm and distress is grounds for a member of the public, it isn't if it's a cop. That guy knew the first cop who rang him

Police officer used his phone to call for assistance then spends the next 5min twiddling with his phone so that he doesn't have to interact with the auditor while he waits for his friends in blue to arrive , he then proceeds to make a fake call and wonders across the road so he's out of earshot of the auditor so not to give away the fact he's making a fake call and he's actually talking to nobody. He's doing all this because he's afraid he was fine when there was 1 auditor but when the 2nd one turns up the police officer changes his script.

As this is an indictible offence you should have arrested him and handed him over to the police and let them record it on their custody files, win either way, they don't arrest him and they commit an offence, arrest him and don't charge him and its complicit in a crime.

But it's very unlikely that a member of the public would make the effort to stop their jogging routine to make such a call. And if the jogger was a cop, would've noticed PC Vile so I doubt he would've made a report. Streaky pork was caught red handed, well done lads.
Also well done the officer who behaved impeccably, there’s a vacancy at Scotland Yard for him. She’s just cleaning out her locker.

Thank God for Plod, exposing these corrupt policeman.. There’s many ways to do audits specially if your after just ratings. Plods channel isn’t about that, it’s about showing both side and the interaction between the police and public, and the corruption that’s clearly evident throughout the force.. We need these bad lot out, those who are letting down badly the good and decent officers …. Thank God for a Plod and the fantastic work he does….

I think its about time we had a professional police service, if it takes a nurse or a doctor 4 years to qualify as such then its looking like the Police should be going down the same route. Its nice to see the professional policeman informing the non professional PC to get out of the road ... same as he did to the auditors. Thats what we want is Professional PCs.
