I am loving your videos! Can I make a request? Would love one where you talk about blending the elegance with an edgier style. How do you elevate a rocker-chic or edgy look so that it is leaning way more elegant or another way to think of it is how can you take an elegant outfit and make it a little less conservative. (if that's possible.) :) BIG THANKS! Loving your content. Keep up the great work!
Color that is like..."Soft poop" 😂 I laughed out loud. Wonderful content, just subscribed. You definitely know what you're doing in the fashion realm! You put so much time into this video, I bet, from the procurement to all the trying on and commentary! Well done! This is one of the best fashion videos I've ever seen on UA-cam!
Thank you so much for your kind words, they went straight to my heart ☺️ I am so happy you enjoyed the video! It is a pleasure to welcome you as a subscriber ♥️
Just a little tip from me. The past tense of the verb "cost" is also "cost". I'm telling you this because you are a very refined woman and I would like to aid you in being even more refined
Do you have some advice for old money look on a curvy body? I have an hourglass shape (thick legs and big bust but with a waist) and that makes it hard not to look too sexy with clothes that are too tight or look fatter than I am because I wear clothes that are too loose or too straight shaped. At the moment I'm wearing a lot of body-hugging black basics (dresses or pants) and pairing them with blouses, jackets or cardigans. I have completely neglected accessories and shoes so far.
Next time take everything inside the changing room, try one by one, and you can add voices after you cut and edit, this way you can avoid all the troubles. ❤
Our H & M stores only have very cheaply made items - i.e. polyester, plastic, acrylic, etc., and are guaranteed not to last. I live in Toronto. Furthermore, I am 5'2" tall (petite), and the alternations would cost more than the item. Cheap fabrics, longer sleeves, longer pants, etc. My advice is to save your money and either buy fewer but better quality pieces, or look for vintage, better quality pieces. And then there are those of us who sew... Really it is a lovely hobby, and it takes about a year to learn all the ropes. You can then make all the latest fashions just to fit YOUR body with all the natural fabrics available out there.
I’m 5 feet and dresses, shirts and jackets don’t fit as the armholes are cut for a taller person. I discovered Zara and sometimes buy there. Maybe try Zara.
Right off the bat I have those bodysuits you said don’t buy. I love them! I bought to wear under a dress so I guess it won’t ruin my look. 😂😂😂 I don’t normally shop at H&M but for cheap basics it’s okay. Shoes or purses? Nope. No thanks.
As a broke student I can highly recommend the beige slacks you showed. I bought them in 3 different colours and they served me very well. As soon as i can afford more expensive ones in higher quality they will be a replaced but for now they are doing a great job. Love your videos! ❤
I agree. Light wash jeans appear worn and are associated with blue collar work. Pretty much every corporate environment I've been in discourages wearing light wash jeans. To be fair though, I think she bought two contrasting pairs of slacks/chinos, which are a bit more elevated than denim. I'd also say that I don't think slim fit pants are flattering on most body types. It's the "heroin chic" cut of pant, designed for very tall, slim bodies.
I don’t wear a lot of bright colours, but when I do, I use them as a « statement piece ». For example, I have some colourful tops from India and Thailand, which I’ll wear with only neutral colours (beige, white, grey, black…). This way, the top really pops, and the rest of the outfit acts more as a « frame » to that statement piece. Happy to go more in depth in a future video 😊
Love your final outfit ❤ too bad that they did allow you to film in store, I feel like that comparison was the most clear and descriptive Thank you very much for your time and effort Hope to view your new video soon
Mlle Spends, I adore your channel. You are a good teacher with thoughtful explanations, thank you. I’ve never heard of the carrot 🥕 pants, they are lovely!!
Ok, I was wondering why beige should always be the best of the best. There are different color types. And not everyone looks good in beige. Quite the opposite. I look sick in beige and nute colors, so I don't buy anything in beige. The same with pants, so if the fabric isn't close to my face, I don't think the trousers look good on me in that color. Especially if they are very light. The color white is different, it looks good on me. What do you recommend in this case?
The 2nd pair of trousers are the shape I prefer and always buy for myself. They’re so flattering. I tend to go for Gap, La Redoute, Warehouse or M&S - all on Vinted 😉
Hm. In defence of "soft poop":))) color - its just not your color type. As a "soft summer" type I specially searching this color for bottom, cos its perfectly matching with bleached, pale colors of my tops. But shape of pants are bad:)
Thankyou for your videos. I am in a remote part of Australia and generally buy most clothing online; your tips have been invaluable in choosing what to buy. I also now understand why my wide leg pants from H&M look so terrible 😂
I live in linen from H&M all summer long and most of my pieces are several years old. They will last if you take care of them (wash in cold water, hang to dry) and they keep looking good! I've also bought some 100% cotton button-down shirts and they've done well for me too.
H&M could be one of fast fashion brands where you find items produced in third countries. I always wonder how much workers are paid to make them. And polyester is not eco friendly at all.
I think you need to twist it in any case with something expensive eg. belt because by default the pieces are quite poor quality pieces as you pointed out, seams are not at ther right places, etc.
In a away that's true (about the shirt and the belt)... it's really easy! But you can have any type of body and look expensive. It's about choosing a certain type of cuts and materials. Happy to make another video on how to dress for your body type if you'd like 😊
Thank you for your kind words! I don’t feel I have the skills to talk about skincare, but I could look into collaborating with someone knowledgeable on the subject 👌
What is the policy on open-toed shoes for work in your opinion? Paris vs. Norway? I love the self-styled version with the brown belt, gave it that little extra
She says that she has wider hips, not wide hips. I don't hear anything negative in saying so. It is just a matter of fact. You can be very slim and have quite wide hips. The width of our hips is just defined by our bones and doesn't say anything about our beauty.
I really enjoyed your focus on the matte texture versus the shiny. I haven't seen someone discuss this topic so fully. Thank you!
I am so happy to hear! Thank you for your kind words!
In all the years I’ve read and seen videos on this subject, I’ve *never* heard of the matte versus shiny textures/look. Thank you so much.
I am loving your videos!

Same! I would also love advice on this.
Please don't buy fast fashion to look old money, visit a thrift store instead
oh yeahhhh
If only we all had that option.

I find the comparison between the cheap and the expensive looking outfits very helpful to me when checking my outfits! Thanks a lot!
H&M didn't want you to film lol please don't showcase our cheap clothes! 😅. Love your content just subscribed.
😂 exactly

Hahaha! Yeah if you wear them under dresses you’re all good 😂♥️
Totally agree for the cheap basics 👌👌

How miserable of H&M - I hope they enjoyed the cost of re-stocking the products you just advertised for them!
I remember when I was eighteen and weighted 102 even if I bought a dress at KMart my clothes looked expensive. But I always dressed conservative.
I like the way you explain the differences..... in a gentle and simple way! keep doing your good job :)
Så hyggelig ❤ Jeg ser at du filmer i Norge! UA-cam anbefalte denne videoen og jeg likte den! Masse lykke til med kanalen din🙏 Jeg skal følge med 😉👍
I bought the faux suede bag and it has been a great purchase.
The black bag makes a huge difference, I didn’t expect that. Great video!
Light wash jeans look cheaper

Very informative. Would like to see how you incorporate bright colours into your wardrobe. Thanks.

What about 100%silk button down shirts- it has a shine .
Real silk shines very differently than satin and fake silks. It usually looks expensive on
Mlle Spends, I adore your channel. You are a good teacher with thoughtful explanations, thank you.

Impeccable démonstration j adore le concept
I am so glad to hear! Merci!

For me beige that goes into the powder pink direction looks bad as well, however the more gold shades look good. Try with different shades :)
Black, white, navy, maybe grey? I am a winter, so I do not look good in beige and nudes, also dislike the beige asthetic.
The 2nd pair of trousers are the shape I prefer and always buy for myself. They’re so flattering. I tend to go for Gap, La Redoute, Warehouse or M&S - all on Vinted 😉

Didn’t you break one of your own rules, sneakers and a biker jacket🤔
Everything looks classier with a little fluffy puppy! You need several more to look really expensive though!
I love color so, wearing beige, taupe, white and black is just plain boring for me. How can I look classy and use color?
I live in linen from H&M all summer long and most of my pieces are several years old. They will last if you take care of them (wash in cold water, hang to dry) and they keep looking good!

This is an amazing video - thank you for nodding towards the budget girls who don’t have time to thrift right now! ♥️♥️♥️
Love your videos.. love your hair

Everyting looks cheap in HM.
Please tell me about the purse youre wearing in the beginning 😊
I'm sorry but in my opinion both proposals look chep🙄
Both outfits look bad;)
Thank you for your advice 🌹
I love black bag you are wearing
I have the same shape and I love the 'carrot' pants.
The shirts are very thin and see-through, and wrinkle easily. In my opinion that is not looking put together.
What is the expensive pant cut called in north american stores? Its not skinny but not quite straight leg
❤
Great
Why don't shops iron/steam the clothes they sell any more?? It looks terrible!
What video would you like to see next? 👀
French style for Summer
@@fashionandluxury101 Ouuuh I did think about making this!!
" How to incorporate color with class" ?
Wonderful content 🥰
@@ameliie35 On it 👀...
I would very much like a video to dress well for different body types!!
Great tips! I don’t buy leather and it can be so hard to find nice shoes and bags.
Love learning the latest… sting is out. Thank you for that great tip.
It's easy to look "expensive." Don't be fat, tuck your shirt in and wear a belt.
In a away that's true (about the shirt and the belt)... it's really easy! But you can have any type of body and look expensive. It's about choosing a certain type of cuts and materials.

And maybe nice beautiful hair will go a long way.
love this! your so natural. ok so can you do a minimalist skincare line routine for night time? I know less is more.
Thank you for your kind words! I don’t feel I have the skills to talk about skincare, but I could look into collaborating with someone knowledgeable on the subject 👌

Soft poop! 😂😂😂
Tq for sharing
Helps alot👍♥️
I’m really glad 😊❤️
Great tips 😊
I’m so glad 😄
And i do not like animal abuse means: leather etc

Please make more videos, information about good taste is essential in North America!
Are you copying Anna Bey?
Stop saying you have wide hips you are slim and ok 👍
