I'm quite curious how you found Vivaia shoes. As to specific videos, I'd appreciate a video on scarves. I often use them to change the look of my travel capsules. But I know I'm not using them to their best advantage.
Thank you for your wonderful advice! I am 73 years old and use a wheelchair. Following your tips has been of great value to me. The use of scarves, earrings, and a touch of makeup have elevated both my look and my confidence. ❤❤❤
Loved the tips at the end. Especially the one about pointing the toe while seated and not starting the movement with the hand but rather with the elbow. And yes, the one about holding the glass. Merci!!
I really like your videos. One thing though, not everyone looks good with golden jewellery :) On me silver looks more elegant, I look cheap and tacky with golden jewellery because my skintone is cool olive. I think it'd be a better advice to find the jewellery that suits your skintone and wear that :)
I used to believe the modern advice of some people looking better/worse in gold or silver metal because of their skin, but then my grandmother (who used to work high up at Vogue) laughed and said that literally everyone looks good in gold. The whole skin tone thing was made up by fashion marketers in the 50s who wanted to convince women that they need different jewelry 😅 So idk, I bet you look great in gold too!
@@LexiePersonForever I'm beginning to think I'm allergic to gold. I got contact dermatitis from my class ring, 18kt, Class of 1980, my finger is still sensitive. A bf gave me a gold necklace and same thing happened, ditto two gold crowns on molars, and those were 23kt dental gold. That was a mess.
Watching other creators taking about style and elegance, I have an impression that it is very hard to find a balance between actually giving advice and nagging ppl. But you're doing an amazing job! 🫡👏 after watching your videos, I feel motivated to improve rather than terrible for not doing it like this before ❤ thank you for that!
These videos are so so so awesome, thank you! I’ve been trying to elevate my workwear and these tips have been wonderful. You’ve both affirmed things I’ve intuited on my style journey AND given voice to new things. This is high value content!
Love you and your channel. You have a clear and non-judgmental way of communicating information and seem really comfortable in your own skin; all of which make you very likeable! Really interesting tip on starting a movement from your elbow - like ballet!
Thank you so much for this excellent video. I’ve always used cc cream w sunscreen instead of foundation and my skin is thanking it for me now that I’m in my 50’s. I will say your formal gold earrings looked perfect once you added the formal coat and structured bag. Without these elements, I’d tend to wear the simple hoops with a t shirt to keep the vibe consistent. That’s the only area we disagree, but I love how you present your authentic self to the world. I live in a California community with a shocking amount of Botox & plastic surgery. It’s the opposite of authentic & it’s really quite sad.
Thank you so much for your great video!! This is exactly the information I have been looking for for years.💛 Not only are you so helpful and concise, you seem like such a lovely person.
You’re brilliant and inspiring, the little details you share about gestures and mannerisms are exactly the kind of things I’ve wondered about but didn’t know what they were or how to learn about them. Thank you!
I am just so happy to have found your channel! Everything you said, I have just wished my mom would have known.. and just the way how you balance your way of saying things and show much respect to other ideas, yet to remain clear about your own ideas! Would love love to know more about your opinions on jewelry and how a more curvy women should wear! Also exciting to see if different color women could also pull out the French elegance! Thank you so much!!
Like you advice on "little subtle things/movements" that make huge different. Thank you and keep "little subtle things/movements" which make us lady more feminine coming.
Great video, will definitely have this in mind. I often get overwhelmed because I have a -'all in all out mindset' whenever I do my makeup or have to look put together, which often makes me look overdressed. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing the makeup and hair tips! I’m so glad to see that my low maintenance hair styles are the same as yours! I also wear very little makeup because I’m concerned with the ingredients affecting my skin negatively. It’s nice to see a more minimalistic perspective of looking elegant.
I love your videos so much! Very comprehensive, and not just a wear-this-not-that. I love your entire personality, and your laugh is so cute and engaging. Please always make videos. ❤
I love this video. It would be cool to have one that is for how to dress elegantly if you're short/petite. I'm a little dubious that a coat that long would look good on me - I tend to go for knee-length or slightly below and I still feel like it's giant and swimming on me lol. I love the rest of the outfit, though, and the little hand movements. Lots and lots I can learn here.
Anything French, real French like you, is good enough for me to follow along! Have soo many fun memories from trips to France and have always loved the country side, the small towns, the west coast, the food, the wine, the fashion and some parts of Paris! Lots of love from Sweden 🇸🇪
I loved all your tips, they are really helpfull. Since I'm not a girl anymore neither feeling a complete grown ass adult, I'm in the middle of two stages of my life and really needing to start changing the way I dress. so I guess this tips are really convinient when one is trying to change to some style a little bit more elevated but not feeling confortable enough to chage completeley! Thank you so much. PS: I would love to see a video where you could explain in wich ocassions is it better to add a belt to the outfit. Sometimes I feel lost at accesorizing. See you next video!!
Chère Ariane, J'adore tes vidéos! They are what I was looking for YEARS about being chic, ladylike, effortless etc. And so well explained...! I am amazed. Looking forward to your videos, but no rush, better quality than quantity ;) Salutations chaleureuses de la Suisse
I just love your energy and the way you put the information together is perfect. I understand everything and I feel inspired to put on my clothes (or go shopping). As opposed to feeling lost usually in a store and in front of my wardrobe. Please do more videos:)) It's a pleasure to look at you and listen to you
The tips at the end are amazing! I never thought about slightly pointing my toes while seated. But now that you mention it, I see so many models do this. Your videos are wonderful!
Love the hair bun idea! My hair is wavy, but not as full or curly as your beautiful curly hair. When I was working, my perpetual hairstyle was to twist my long hair at the back of my head to conceal the ends, and clip it with one of those toothy hair clips. Kind of a quick and dirty French Twist.
I love your videos so much, all of them are to the point and very helpful. You taught me how to dress elegantly after I've watched just 3 of your videos. Each one of the rules you mentioned includes and excludes many items of clothing which taught me how to dress elegantly right away. Plus, I didn't feel the need to go out and buy new items, everything I needed I already had in my wardrobe. Your channel is the best channel *To learn how to dress and what to buy and avoid buying*, I told my friend about you and I want to tell everyone 😂
Merci, thank you so very much. I LOVE your videos and wish I’d had them 30 years ago. Bur having them now is fine. The tips on the hands and feet are something I’ve never, ever heard of and I used to play for ballet classes. All of your tips are superb, really. And may I say, I love your hair.
The start the movement from your elbow is something thought to ballet dancers! We get taught that to indeed make our movements look more elegant and less stiff 😊
This is wonderful advice! Can you please do one for short + “round” people? I have now been on antidepressants for a few years and then got cancer (all sorted now) and have gained 30+ kilos from being already a bit overweight starting off. I have no “comfortness” in my body and absolutely hate showing my body. The idea of pretending there is a waist makes me panic and I know that my flowy dresses make me look even larger, but I just cannot see my belly (where most of the extras landed). I am certain I am not the only one who could do with some help!
At last someone with take the word effortless seriously! I loved the video because I really can implement this routine in weekdays and I would love more effortless outfit ideas. What would you recommend instead of mascara? I wear glasses and I don't like It that much. Maybe some eyeliner?
Thanks for this interesting video! Epsecially the elegancy tips at the end ☺️ One thing I am questioning though is: 1 min for removing nail polish? 😮 It always takes me personnaly ages. That is why I avoid polishing my nails altogether since a few years...
Love the navy stripey marinaire shirt ..plus my usual pearl earrings ..classic and natural..my hair I put some hair product to make it look tamed as its a rather spiky grey
Curly hair tips: 1) Try to stick to natural products. 2) Do a “clarifying wash” once a week to fully cleanse the hair (use a stronger shampoo to rinse out the build-up from the natural shampoo) AND follow up with a deep-conditioner and rinse. 3) Only comb/brush hair when it has conditioner or leave-in conditioner in it. I use a wide-tooth comb in the shower and again after I apply leave-in conditioner. Never brush dry hair or brush wet hair without product. 4) Do not skip the leave-in conditioner. 5) Experiment with different levels of “hold” in your gel and/or mousse. I use a medium or firm hold. 6. Do not cut hair when it’s wet since not all strands have the same curl pattern - wait till it’s fully dry. 7. Sleep with a silk pillowcase or a silk hair wrap/cap. 8. Use soft materials to tie up your hair like silk scrunchies or claw clips (without teeth). 9) Wear a silk head scarf if it’s very windy outside. 10) Don’t go outside with wet hair (unless there is zero wind and it’s not too cold). 11) Lastly, try to avoid heat (styling, drying) and don’t dye your hair (at least not too often). Extra tips: invest in a styling brush, follow your natural curl pattern, use a diffuser not a hair dryer (cold-medium heat, not high), finish your showers in cold water to close the hair follicles and to lock in moisture!!
I am here for the tips for people with thin hair but do far no luck 😄 when I put my hair down it definitely doesn’t look as gorgeous as yours. The other two may work, I have to get the handle of the bun and how to actually cover the whole thing with my three hairs but I guess that just needs practice
Great video! Thank you very much! Does this also apply to curvy women or should I pay attention to other details? Maybe you can also make videos for special body shapes in between, if that makes a difference. ❤
What video would you like to see next?👇😊
Definitely about building a simple, universal and chic capsule for autumn and winter.
I loved your summer video and would appreciate a Fall/Winter one. Thank you! Your videos are beautifully done

I think it'd be a better advice to find the jewellery that suits your skintone and wear that :)
Gold jewelry also doesn't just have the "connotation" of being expensive, it actually IS expensive! So, y'know, not all of us can afford it.
For some reason gold looks fake on me. No idea why but it looks like cheap gold plated jewelry so sterling silver or nothing.
I agree, so I usually go for a white gold!
