@@Leo-fr9tn if you're chopping up a large map to use parts for multiplayer and Zombies you should be able to put a lot into each of them. In the case of liberty balls, it doesn't appear to be anything different. " It's the beginning of the outbreak there shouldn't be evidence of it being a Zombies map" if that's what they thought while making it then it wasn't very smart. Nobody wants a piece of the warzone map sectioned into pieces and used for every single mode...
also to the point of longer form videos (30+ minutes) TV viewership on youtube is also on the rise and i also find myself watching longer on tv since its more of a hassle to change the video and like to have it on while im relaxing and just want something on in the background while doing stuff around the house. this podcast is a perfect example of that lol
I'm just excited for BO6 because 1. Cold War is still my favorite of the "new era" Call of Duty games. Everything except Zombies was great. 2. It feels like the community is actually excited. The last time the community felt excited was probably MW2019. MW2 had a ton of hype but immediately that died once the betas happened, Vanguard no one cared about, CW felt like it was super hit or miss for some, and MW3 we all knew was basically glorified DLC. 3. It's a good mix of new and old features. Hopefully they just get rid of daily challenges for unlocks cause thats gotta be the most convoluted system I've ever seen.
Great pod guys! I definitely think you guys should bring on Milo aka Mrroflwaffles as your second guest or in the future! I think that discussion would be really fascinating to listen to. 😄
I’ve enjoyed MWIII multiplayer, sledgehammer needs to be given a chance to make the game they want, with 3 years of dev time. The post launch support shows how good sledgehammer can be.
I got so much flak for saying when it came out that the mp was good actually. Like I wasn’t even defending the campaign or zombies. I was just saying the mp is actually genuinely really really good
I get hyped every time I see a new podcast episode. You guys have such interesting convos and have some really smart points. Love how you also have different interests in the same game, keep up the good work and keep releasing absolute heaters
Great Podcast! Been following guys for a while now, and I am enjoying it. I have a question though, do you plan on bringing back side missions? I enjoyed those 20-30 minute videos that you guys made.
I really liked beta, but half of the time I had same thought "Man I'm getting to old for this shit" i will try to play more MP,but i think l will stick with Zombies 😅 Great Episode guys don't stop ❤❤❤ PS: Maybe you should get MR Ruffell Waffles,Milo is so wholesome ❤
Tdawg, in your least favorite game, MWII, they added a bunch of gunfight variants. They added one where you spawned with armor and a few other ones that I honestly forget. Just hope you find this helpful.
because every game has a Code Name while being developed to that is either a nod towards the game or is a misdirect(in this case it was a nod towards the actual game). It also might just have not had a name yet, so leakers called it Gulf War based on it taking place around that time.
mwiii is top 5 cod mp for me (wz era strictly) plus i really enjoyed mwz. i feel like mp is finally taking some priority and the reverted changes are more than welcome by me and bo6 is looking promising, not without its bs but i'll take this over mw2019/2022. this should be the bare minimum for these studios but activi$ion gets the final say. shame the haunting even it's anything special this year.
COD is hemorrhaging numbers continuously. The spike Activision expects to happen when BO6 comes out will be bad. But the arrogant fanbase wont know since CODHQ hides everything from us. Players will argue sales are up. The the end goal is for daily players before the quarter hits. It will imo start to look more stagnant. But i know the COD shills will reply to this and call me a loser. GAMEPASS is the biggest reason i will play. Not a $70 price tag.
We’ve been asking this question for years now lmao. Is COD struggling and yet we all keep playing it and talking about it. For me, COD needs to get rid of the live service aspects, micro transactions, Warzone and also stop warzoneifying all things in the game. You remove that and give the game some personality then we are back. COD just has no personality anymore it all looks the same. Menus, UI, guns, systems and so on. Genuinely the one thing it’s doing so well in are camos.
Activision messed about with Treyarch and Sledgehammer. i think they both did a good job, but i would love to see COD have a 2 year life experience as it's always some the COD games start to get better near the end of there life span
That’s so the people that won’t be moving to the new cod (mw die hard who don’t like black ops games or vice versa) have something to tide them over and keep them hooked until the next mw
33.20 I agree with T about 2019 being more smooth and buttery but I do think that Mw3 slide cancel might feel better due to the less buttons u need to press. But that’s just my opinion 🤷🏻♂️
No. At least I won't. MWIII was boring regarding "side-quests." I'm sorry, MWIII side-quests sucked. Especially when they are part of the full MWIII storyline. I will give Sledgehammer Games credit here, though.
@@RickyDanger187Still my point. The thing is, when I was doing missions in MWIII, I stumbled upon side quests, so... yeah. It sucks. Don't get me wrong; Sledgehammer Games did a great job regardless of corporate Bugaloos.
@@CarlosXPhoneI wasn’t saying your point was invalid, was just saying that I didn’t think that was what he was talking about. I totally agree however, I didn’t even try to do the side missions, wasn’t worth it to me
Now that Microsoft has reclaimed its throne what they need to do is use their huge 100B+ net worth to bring cod back to its original state. Can BR and anything that never belonged to begin with. Get these clowns out of the industry.
When tdawg mentioned the movement in mw3 vs mw19 are yall saying mw19 is smoother and mw3 is clunky? If that’s the case I disagree. Slide cancelling in mw3 was an intentional design so it feels smoother to me
I’m not a hater at all but I just have a feeling with bo6 that it’s not gonna be what people think we’ll have to wait and see hopefully I’m wrong though
I grinded bp for a few seasons to get enough free cod points to get the Rick grimes bp then i didn’t play as much for the next 2 seasons so i lost cod points now ive saved up for bo6 bp
I think they mean about how MW3 player counts are low, and people would haven't played warzone or mw3 in a long while, getting free season 6 battle passes. So probably Call of Duty is struggling to keep players because of BO6 being around the corner.
As a Zombies player, hearing that MP players got 40+ maps is INSANE. That's like the entire Treyarch catalog of Zombies maps.... In ONE GAME!
Lol as if it was the same as all treyarch maps, can't even compare that!!
You really think a single mp map is the same as a zombie map?? There’s a reason why cod games launch with 16 mp maps and at most 2 zombie maps
@@blackzamasu3077 no I don't think it takes the same effort to make a Zombies map... Not really what I meant.

Def agree about gunfight. The mode should be evolve and become more more amazing but it’s been such a disappointment. Miss the tournaments

They are a good match, an MP guy and a Zombies guy... Being a Zombies player, it's kinda nice hearing about the MP side too.
Another W episode. Well done gentlemen.
I watch on spotify but stopped by to say keep up the great work lovin the pod so far!
Drive in is one of my favorite all time modern warfare maps

Could you go into an explanation of why it was leaked as Black Ops : Gulf war instead of what is known as now as BO6
because every game has a Code Name while being developed to that is either a nod towards the game or is a misdirect(in this case it was a nod towards the actual game).
It also might just have not had a name yet, so leakers called it Gulf War based on it taking place around that time.
Hmm. I really like ‘Going Dark - A Call Of Duty Podcast’ a LOT !
Do I get to be pinned now ;)
As a big fan of gunfight I'm disappointed. MW19 still holds up as a better game for gunfight in my opinion.
MW19 was a fantastic game for gunfight

I’d say yes considering the games are trash compared to the old ones. Both with zombies and multiplayer.
I personally think both mps were amazing
