In all due respect of those who have commented that they are bored with Peter's continuation of this project, please understand that it appears that he is filming numerous Litchi missions in order to capture footage of areas that he has not captured before, from different angles, and again, he is mainly doing so for people who were suddenly, and seemingly violently displaced from their homes. With all dues respect, the author and narrator of this film, is ill informed , misquoting historic fact and is biased.
The 1960 Republic is a failed state resulting out of the Greek popular movement of Enosis which resulted in the collapse of the Republic, the Ethnic cleansing of Turkish Cypriots, Crimes against Humanity and Human Atrocities the burning and destruction of 130 Turkish Villages.
Contrary to the Authors reporting , Cyprus is not a Greek territory and the south is held under temporary administration stemming from the Doctrine of Necessity when no one had jurisdiction to pass such a ruling at the time of the collapse rendering such a position void.
The Counterpart Guarantor Greece was the Perpetrator of the Crimes and destruction of the 1960 Republic , the British second counterpart guarantor who were stations on the Island stood in observation at the destruction of the Republic refusing to engages their ally and brethren hence the Turkish Cypriots invited Turley to aid them and liberate them form the sustained and systemic acts of annihilation . Turkey remains there through the same invitation.
The continued policy of embargoes and sanctions by the UN against the TRNC is further evidence of the continued campaign of attrition resulting in further acts of ethnic cleansing by suppression of Social , cultural and economic rights to life.
Cyprus never formed part of the 1832 Kingdom of Greece, and the essence of any claim is Myth and a referendum my Makarious III .
The Author is guilty of misquoting history , misrepresenting the facts and showing bias racial intolerance .

Firstly thank you Peter.
As a Greek Cypriot living abroad, i can tell you first hand we are deeply saddened & disappointed with the Cyprus issue & the non resolution to date.
Its been over 44 years that Turkey, a neighboring country attacked, ethnically cleansing the region of the native Greek inhabitants & taking peoples, properties, homes & lively hood.
As another patron mentioned, earlier, people left in fear, leaving everything behind, most people took, nothing except the cloths they were wearing as the Turkish army bombed civilian areas. People left believing it was only temporary and would shortly return back to there homes.
The saddest part is once the fighting stopped & the ceasefire was drawn, people believed they would all return back to their homes & property BUT nothing of the sort occurred.
The area of Varosha that Peter filmed just like the Cyprus International airport were fenced off from the public and declared no go zones
The years have dragged on, people, like my grandparents who's dream was to return back to their homes have how passed on and my parents also have aged and will possibly not return back to their homes any time soon. This is there reality but amazingly they live in hope of a solution
And for what reason is the land being held ? Why is it being held captive by Turkey ?
I believe the current Turkish Government & the government of North Cyprus do not know why!
The people who were responsible for the illegal invasion & occupation of North Cyprus -Turkish President Bulent Ecevit, and Rauf Denktash have passed on.
The Cypriot Presidents Archbishop Makarios & his replacement Glafcos Clerides & more recently Tassos Papadopoulos have all passed on too.
So who is left to fight for the justice of Cyprus & the Cypriot people ?
This is why what Peter has done holds incredible merit and should be supposed 100 percent.
All people globally, including the Cypriot people & the international community have not seen this area of Cyprus for over 44 years.

You are deluded and a fanatic guilty of misrepresenting history. Marash the closed city is Turkish Land held by the Turkish Vacuf , The Greek in the south occupy misappropriated Turkish Land . The history and land system in Cyprus didn't commence during the British period and in the face of the failed state any land system arising is void. Ottoman title are the authentic registration deeds .
Turkey is present on the island of Cyprus due to the invitation of the Turkish Cypriot people and they remain there out of the same invitation.
That invitation came about when the Greek military machine from Greece together with the Greek National Guard on Cyprus and the Greek population under the popular Greek political movement and manifesto of Enosis out of Maglia set out to destroy the 1960 Republic within three years of its establishment which they did , caused the the ethnic cleansing of Turkish Cypriots, Crimes against Humanity and human atrocities in the attempted annihilation of the Turkish Cypriot people burning of 130 turkish villages and destruction of historic sites.

Your grievance with Turkey is the fact they prevented the ethnic cleansing of Turks and the reversal of Enosis. At teh time of the Human atrocities , Greeks didn't stand to prevent the destruction , the ethnic cleansing but instead they supported the political movement and where happy to occupy the Turkish properties. The south is held by terrorist who erect on public display statues of terrorist Makarious III and Eoka persons who they call heroes and celebrate. The raising of the Greece flag in isolation and the Enosis Bill passed in 2016 is further evidence of the terrorist mentality
In the free democratic places of the world , I see Greek communities and the Greek Orthodox church preach its brand of fanaticism and I witness how the Greek community refused to interact with Turks in promoting their economy etc.

Another exciting video this time from a different perspective. Yes that church had a truck and about four cars parked
beside it. They must use it for something. Amazing when you really think about it. A huge city like Toronto or Montreal
and tall buildings by the dozens next to each other and not a car or person in sight. Imagine the feelings of some people
who actually have lived there, and can see it like this now. They must wonder what the hell has gone wrong with

I am sure litchi let you fly the drone more or less sideways for a wider view of the area. For example I would love to see the camera turn in the direction of the ocean to see all the hotels at the beach front.

You can set the height in Litchi yes. Lowering the altitude risk hitting something though or getting detected.

please share your web address, if not Peter, then other people are interested in those paintings, I have visited verosha on foot and visited few houses near by the fence (turkish side), also a church which was not very far from the fence. Strange experience for me as i am neither Turk nor Greek but a tourist from some other country

FYI Maraş/Varosha was not in the plans of the Turkish military to take over in 1974
Turkish Army had the intention of rescuing the Turkish part of Famagusta/Maraş and not going into the Greek part
But Greek inhabitants not knowing the plans of the Turkish Army fled the town anyway
So then
A decision was made to keep it closed to give it back to Greeks (like Sinai) in bargaining to settle the Cyprus problem
That settlement never came about
So now
The town will be open for settlement
In any case %85 of the land belongs to a religious trust administered by Evkaf Turkish Cypriot religious trust
All those buildings you see today are owned by mere leaseholders, not freeholders
