I’m obsessed with this basket! I just finished the large one. But I only needed 3 skeins of each color (not 6 for the base as stated in the video). There’s a little bit leftover of the base color, and there is a lot leftover of the top color.
I’ve been looking for this pattern for a long time. Thank you! I was going to just get the pattern and go. Reading comments about the crab 🦀 stitch peaked my interest to watch the whole thing.
These are cute baskets. I love the addition of the crab stitch. And you are looking amazing today. You always look good, but my goodness you outdid yourself today.😊
Delighted with this pattern, was looking for similar baskets for my home and the best price I’ve seen is £70 ( about $100) now I have a pattern and can make them exactly as I want.
Love the little basket Marley!! Thank you for the great tutorial.. I hold my crochet hook pencil style too but when I'm crocheting with 'chunky' yarn my hand gets painful like you. I'm not to good at crocheting 'knife' style but I do realize that it is easier on the hand! 😊
In the change color round you put the first SC in the same stitch as the join. Is that the way the rest of the pattern works or was that done only for the color change round?
Is this yarn a #4, and could you use a heavier weight yarn? How oils this change pattern? And with this Red Heart yarn, this would be machine washable?
Yes, this is a #4 yarn. Most Red Heart yarns are. Holding the three together results in about a #6, but it is a more economical way to achieve that thickness. And yes, the Red Heart yarn makes it machine washable, but if you wanted to make it out of natural fibers, a kitchen cotton like Lily's Sugar & Cream or a mercinized cotton like the "I Love Tis Cotton!" from Hobby Lobby would also make this machine washable.

Not yarn or project related but: Wow Marly! Your hair, makeup and clothing/accessories is fantastic. Now back to the video.
I was going to say the same thing! You look great!
I love making baskets and bags holding 2-3 strands together. I can be really creative with color combinations!

I would use a magic ring to begin - that's how I roll

Darn, the pattern is gone. It says URL not found, tried 3 times.
