This was one of the most interesting, enjoyable videos I have seen yet! Your pace was perfect, and. instructions were very clear. No wasted time babbling! Thank you for that! I will be attempting this project in the near future, and I LOVED your knot! First time I have seen that, and will adopt your technique!
You are an excellent teacher. I would like more clarity how to increase rows in the beginning in order to create that pattern of lines.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. If I may make just a tiny bit of constructive "criticism"? I have very bad Tenitis in my ears (constant ringing). It's very hard to hear what you were saying in the beginning of the video because of the background music. It was not only hard to hear you over it (for me), but also it was very distracting. I hope you don't feel I'm being rude or ungrateful for the time and effort you put forth to produce this video... I do really appreciate your work!
Maybe they could add closed captions to fix this issue? :)
There are closed captions
I agree, the background music was more the foreground and drowned out her voice which became the background. I think a lot of videos have this problem.
I just found your blog and this video….and I’m so excited to try this. Thank you so much !❤️
This something new to be added to my learning to crocheting. You are a good teacher with simple in strictions🙏.
Beautiful tutorial, thank you! A tip from someone else who was sewing a rope basket: if you tape the piping where you intend to cut it and cut in the middle of the scotch taped cord it will not fray :)
Also whipping the end of the rope

I found a huge roll of this kind of piping years ago at a thrift store.. now I have a use for it!! Thanks so much!! 🙏🙏🙏
You're a natural born teacher. I'm confident now to make my own basket. Thank you!
Thank you soooo much for the tutorial. Now I can make the bean bag Ive always wanted!
My favorite part of this? Learning the new knot!😍👍
👀 The new knot is EVERYTHING 😜
For some reason I'm having trouble with the knot. Out of 27 tries I was able to do it twice, so I'm playing that part over and over again until I can really get it! Terrific knot.
Me too! I was thinking, "Why haven't I seen this before?" And, "Why is this hidden knot such a secret?" Now, I'm saying, "I know the secret!"
I really like this type basket. I like it even more that you can make it very large. This would make a nice laundry basket too.
Loved this project. It's like a gateway project to a brand new way to work with and enjoy yarn. One can take this basket design in so many directions..
Don’t know how to crochet. Your instructions seem simple. Need baskets. Thank you!!
I am in the midst of making this now. I found her directions very easy to follow as I’ve made other baskets and rugs with this increase pattern. I searched thru all the comments looking for how much piping to use but couldn’t find any specific rule of thumb. I took a chance and bought 14 yards as that was all Joanns had in one piece. So far my basket is roughly 10” wide and I am pretty sure I’m going to run out of piping before I get a 6” high wall completed. I’m going to try to add on an additional piece of piping using both fabric glue and sewing. So I’m guesstimating I’ll use around 18 yards total (or thereabouts) of piping. I really want to try to make the huge one and bought thicker piping on Amazon (that was pricy but I’ve found especially now it hard to get a large quantity at a local store). I’m hoping thicker piping will work up quicker. I’m still unclear on how to sew in the loose ends. I did pick up some clothesline too as it looked similar to the piping. I thought why not?😂 I looked at rope but not sure how the twisted fibers would work. Maybe okay? Love the look of these baskets!!
Another thing I found was when I pulled the piping as I started up the wall it didn’t work right for me. Could be that I put too much tension or it may be because of the tension of my stitches but it worked way better when i continued up the walls with the same amount of slack on the piping as I had on the bottom... This approach worked better for me.
Friggin amazing. I do not have the patience. Watching caused anxiety. But I love it so much. I would totally buy one to hold my yarn 🧶 I love it.
Nice! I started crochet two weeks ago and I know enough to start this project. Great instructions!
This is exactly what I was looking for!!! Thanks a lot!👍
By far the best tutorial I have found. Many thanks!!
Awesome tutorial thank you!! My only suggestion I've found to be super helpful with most projects is to do a double magic circle. It helps with keeping that ring tight and doesnt unravel 😊
You have a wonderful voice so it IS nice that you have NO music to interfere. I like your video a lot - and hope I can get the materials. TY very much!!!
Great talent there. Thanks for sharing. We thank God for being thorough. I enjoyed the video. God bless you for sharing.
Wow. Great tutorial. Neat how you changed colors. Thank you so very much
Love that large basket you showed in the beginning. Can't wait to start one, just need the cordage. Thanks for sharing.
I used this tutorial to make a medium sized shorter basket with handles. It looks great. I am a beginner and this was easy to follow. Thank you!
How much cotton pipping did you end up using?
Loved this video. Definitely will try it to make pot holders and badkets for my yarns.
I’m going to try this method to make some placemats and a rug. Ty for this wonderful tutorial
Hi. Thanks for that video. I am a beginer crochet. I learned during lockdown! I love you explanations they are super clear.
I am so glad I came across your video! Clear directions! Very helpful hints!!! You have inspired me.
I'm a fan! I've watched this video a few times and needed to get more confident reading/understanding patterns to catch the increase. I wish that part was dumbed down and went slower in the video. But I got it! Thank you
I had trouble finding the increase as well. How often are we supposed to be adding the increase?
This is such a good tutorial. Thank you!
I made this. I loved your tutorial. Thanks
Thank you for saying that the basket will look lopsided, I have never made a basket before but I remember when I started to crochet I got upset with myself because my work didn't look like the teachers. I learned to crochet from the computer. Thank you for saying relax it will work out, just keep going.
Thank you so much. This is so straightforward. I just ruined a basket that I bought from West Elm and I didn't want to pay to replace it. This will work even better for me!
Fascinating technique, looks very therapeutic. I will endeavour to make a small basket for my bathroom essentials. I simply love the texture and how you can easily coordinate your colours too. Thank you so much for a superb tutorial, so clear and easy to understand for a beginner 'crocheter'. I look forward to more videos in the future, stay safe and well xxxx
So did you make a basket and if you did how'd it turn out? If you didn't I'm not here to guilt you...I have a whole room full of intentions lol
I just made my own first little basket. I'm really happy with it! Thank you so much for the amazing video. The project ist super beautiful and your explanations are great! Can't wait to make more baskets in different colors.
❤
So easy to follow. Thank you
Beautiful basket
Hello, I just found your video and am so excited because this is what I have been looking for. I am fairly new and wanted a basket to put my new supplies and yarns in, however being new I don’t know how to do a magic circle and understand when, where to put the 2 increase stitch. Yours looked so uniform and neat. I looked on your video list and didn’t see a reference to it. If there is one would you direct me to it or if not could you break it down a little further in another video. Sorry, I hope that is not a pain for you, I just am not getting it. I really love how beautiful and functional these are and it is exactly what I would like so if you would be willing I would be so very grateful!!! Thank you so much for posting and teaching me/us. God bless !😊
This is awesome! Thank you so. Much, I think this would be perfect to make bread proofing baskets.
Brilliant, this really helped me iron out some problems I was having making these. Thanks great tutorial! 💚
Thanks very much for that. One observation/request, perhaps it's my aging ears but I find it a little hard to separate your voice from the background music during the opening and closing segments. No problems following the main part though. Thanks!
It's not just your ears. I went right to the comments to see if anyone had said anything about the music since I found it hard to hear her while music was playing.
@@babygrandma8654 ditto, it's annoying. Is it in all her videos?
@@mysterylady67 I really don't know. I didn't watch any others that I recall.
@@mysterylady67 ✔..so > I'm gone.!

Most beautiful basket. I will start making tomorrow.
hi! I enjoyed you're video very much, and I think you explained it very well, so I really want to try doing it. thank you!
More videos please coz ur gifted.......ur explanations are top keep up da content flowing......
Thanks for the awesome project!! Great tutorial. I'm looking forward to making some baskets. I'm trying to organize my house more and all the people making organizing videos use baskets that they buy but now I'm going to be able to make my own in exactly the right sizes and my own colours :)
Beautiful pattern and technique... thanks for sharing!
Hi, thank you for a great tutorial. Can you let us know how much of both yarns and cotton piping you did you use for this basket ?
Great Video.... Really well explained for an absolute beginner.... Thank You❤❤❤
Very well explained ! I might try it in 2021 to make presents for my family :-)
Great tutorial!! So clear and precise. I don’t know how to crochet, but this is going to be my first project. You are a wonderful teacher! 💐
This is an excellent tutorial!
I am thrilled to find this! I used to make something similar in high school with a yarn needle. This is much easier! Just a helpful hint....if you cut the beginning tail of the rope it is easier to wrap and fold down in place
I ment to say cut the beginning of the rope at an angle
Found written pattern thanks
Your instructions/tutorial is so easy to follow!
Thank you so much! I've been wanting to try a basket with clothesline but wasn't sure how to start. I might try it with the piping like you did instead.
Saving this one to watch again later
Que hermoso! Felicidades es un excelente video y me encanta el proyecto! Gracias!
Your basket looks so even & lovely! I am definitely going to try to create something similar!
💕🎀🌸💚🌈💛❤🧡
Thank you so much for the tutorial! I'm making one right now and it is so beautiful! One question: what do I do if I run out of rope and need to join a new rope?
Am also going to make it as soon as i can 😊 actually I was looking for such video thanks sweetie ❤️
Great tutorial! Seems very versatile. Thinking about varying the material, maybe? I have some sisal rope that I think would make a good filling and also wondering what would happen if you used fabric strips as the filling? Something much floppier to be sure. Maybe good for trivets or bathmats?
I bet pieces of fabric can be cut into strips and then included throughout the outside of the basket tied like a latch hook rug. Sort of like how fringe is made at the ends or edges of knit/crocheted scarves and shawls/triangles - and when using a tri-loom.
Love those baskets, very clever indeed 😘
I am a beginner at crochet.. loved the basket. In the beginning when you were making the base.. 2nd round you increased from 8 to 16 ..what pattern of increasing the chain/stitches did you follow was not clear later on.
omg yes, i feel like i finally understand this now!! (other videos i've watched are so confusing!) thanks!
The large basket reminds me of a basinet basket for a newborn.
🤚NEW SUBBIE😁
👀👀 The new knot is giving me LIFE!! 🤣🤣
You tutorial is excellent. Thank you for answering so many questions.
The plan is-
White Satin Twine (yarn sub)
Large laundry basket
Medium underwear basket
Tan Jute Twine (yarn sub)
2ea kitchen/laundry area rugs
TFS and the motivation ☺
Would love to see a square basket tutorial please. I am thinking of doing big square baskets for storage ideas. Thanks
Wow so beautiful design
Oooooh!!!!! Just found you!!! So awesome!! Loooove, loooove, looooove this project!!!!! Btw.....so love your storage on the wall behind you!!!!
Ooh ty for this tutorial..I just now discovered your channel. So excited to try this basket😀
Thank you very much for this great video!
Holy moly! This is awesome Thanks😍
Love your work I wanted to know how can I make the basket bigger in the middle
Hi, ChiWei! What a beautiful clean looking basket. Can't wait to try this out. Thank you for explaining things so well. Are these baskets easy to clean after being out several months? Just wondering how to treat the cord👍❤️😉
This is good to store blankets or use in closets for towels, like face towels. It looks washable.
That is super cool! Working on it now, although I bought not enough "piping" material and need to make a junction! Any suggestions on how to make the bridge between the two filling ropes? I am using a thinner "pipe", synthetic material and pretty rigid.
WHOA! Beginner's? Crochet looks hard! 🥺 I got excited and thought I could make this. Nope!
True. I’m not a beginner, but this does look a bit challenging. I need a written pattern. Is there one?
Nice job and good instruction!
I love this! Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial ❤
Ooh 13 stitches over 8; Fibonacci would be proud.
Omg!!! SOOO Awesome can't wait to try.
This is gorgeous!
Beautiful basket
This is amazing! I'm doing mine right now!
What a great tutorial, I’m going to get started as soon as the piping gets here. Thanks so much!
Beautiful baskets.
Cut the cording off on an angle instead of straight and it will sew down nicer for you :-D
The Coli Crochet baskets are beautiful, will try to make as soon as I can. Thanks so much for the tutorial.
Oh that is good! Thank you for sharing!
Doesn’t it fray more once cut?
@@karenneale2840 You're going to cover it so no not really.
I suppose. It’s a better idea not so much to tuck in. I’ve order the piping cord so will start as soon as it comes.
Cutes and very delicate baskets,thank❤👍👏
Very well explained. Super neat. 👏👏
Love this! Thank you. 🤗🙌🏼❤️🌈
Is there a written pattern? I would love one so that I know how many stitches to make where etc. I did not know you could crochet these baskets so I am incredibly excited to make these since I absolutely love them!!
What a great tutorial
Loved this absolutely!😊
Any guidelines on how we can make a rectangular basket using the same technique?
Thanks. I enjoy
What a great pattern! I made baskets using 3 strands of 4 weight yarn and they turned out beautifully but my hands are still very sore and it’s been months. I look forward to trying this, thank you for a great tutorial! I’ve subscribed!
I looked up the materials you used. For the piping; how many yards for the basket featured and how many skeins of yarn?
Thank you! I play video games when I should be creating! You've inspired me! My Mom and Gram were both crocheters and I did too until my teens. Would really like to try my hand at this. Thanks again! 🎉❤
Beautiful!
Thanks! This was cool.
Thanks for the tutorial. Do you happen to have one similar to this for crocheting a rectangles rope basket?
Amazing video hun your basket looks beautiful
I just made my first basket, I love it!! Thank you for the clear instructions may I ask what color the yellow is that your using?
Very nice going to try it.
Wow 👍 very beautiful 😍
