This was my first basket. It is a struggle working with such a rigid cord, but it worked out. It took me about 4 hours total, maybe a little less. It is smaller than i expected, so i bought 2 more of the cord to make a bigger basket. This tutorial is very well done. You didn't miss a detail and walked me through my project every step of the way. This was a great confidence booster for a new crocheter. Thank!!

This is a great tutorial! I just want to add that I used the red heart black 5mm yarn I had to do 2 sets of single crochet in the back loop to get my bend. It all depends on the texture/size/density of the yarn. Thank you so much for the tutorial very helpful!
Do you mean at the end of the row to go back the other way, you do 2 sets in the back loop? Thanks so much!
@@Chelle201 well in her tutorial for the back loop she only does one single crochet “row” all the way around. I did that but then I did a single crochet row all the way around for a 2nd time

Thank you, I’m using Red Heart too but in Paddy Green. Dunno what thickness though but I think it’s 5mm. Im using a 5.75mm hook. I dunno how it’ll turn out because I haven’t start yet but I hope that it works.

I made the macrame yarn the instructor used and it turned out nice. My second try I used t-shirt yarn but in order to make it square I had to turn it inside out. Can someone tell me why it worked out that way?
this is a beautiful basket. I love making baskets. I am hoping you can give us some specifics if we follow your tutorial can you tell us how much of the macramé yarn / cord we need and approx what size basket will result. This will help a great deal in what I plan for this. any helpful info would be awesome. Not really fond of making it to see what i come up with then make plans to make another for this project ..

I would assume that if you wanted to make a rectangle box you just make your base longer and follow the same pattern. Hopefully that is correct. Thank you very much I enjoy your videos and the mannerism in which you teach
