@@badseedtech I would disagree there since it would cause a situation where people ordering a Superlight wouldn't know if they're getting micro USB or USB-C until they receive it, prompting mass returns and also adding confusion to the used peripherals market. A slight name change was necessary to avoid all that chaos.

I first came across your videos with the wooting 60HE review and modding videos, and I am really thankful for those videos as they are the main reason for why I am (eventually) ordering one. Just got my 60he. It sounds and feels better than any keyboard I've ever used. Never used a custom, but have used razer and other brands over the years. Wooting feels better and has actual features to care about. I want to mod it eventually, but I'm so impressed having this for a week now. It took an adjustment period to get used to rapid trigger and sensitive keys, but I keep getting more and more excited to use it, because every day I'm getting more used to it and it feels awesome.

I like that they still have the charging contacts on the bottom. I have a stand that takes advantage of them
Definitely feels weird to call this a "2" but I cant argue with results. The Superlight is probably my most consistently used mouse ever and I would love for it the have USB-C. Not to say that I'll be upgrading, but at least its easy to recommend this one over the other one if someone is looking for a new mouse. (or if they wanna save money and get the cheaper first one LOL)

For me who never got the Superlight version of the original G Pro it's a great upgrade. I don't care about the 2000hz polling, or lack of huge upgrades. But they addressed the reason I stayed away. I'd hate to own it a year and have it get a double click issue. Now with the opticals, in theory, it can't. And yeah, type C is a godsend. I cannot describe how annoying it has been that my controller, phone, keyboard, and drawing pad can all use the same single cable. But then my mouse I have to go pull out a Micro B and cross my fingers it didn't break because I looked at it wrong. Having a single type C tucked away and ready to go will be amazing. I know I could have gone to another brand, but I like my Logitech. I just couldn't justify getting the OG Superlight and now I just might be able to justify this one.
I think I've gone through like 5 micro B cables for my current Logitech alone. The one that came with it helps it not break for sure. But when the cat chews that up and you have to use whatever you've got... well they are a fragile connector for sure.
It's crazy that Logitech is only just now moving to USB-C in late 2023.

The g502x released last year has it, but even then they were late to the party.
I use my g pro as a secondary mouse as i quite often forget to charge my main, so i charge it literally once every 1-2 months. I'm shocked everytime that my usb c cable doesnt fit lol

I have Xtrfy MZ1 also known as Zy's Rail. I got the wired version after seeing you review of the wireless version and its by far my favourite mouse. The only thing I had to do was swap the cable as I was getting some disconnects
i picked up an x2h from micro center to try for a few days w the intentions of returning it after & now its my main & my dav3/aria xd7 just sit in a corner, love the shape so much even w a palmish grip
Love your reviews man! I have the gen 1 superlight but I can honestly say that I have been loving my razer deathadder v3 pro faker edition a lot.
I’m waiting on my LA-1. Everything I get from LGG is awesome, the Saturn Pro has been my main since it dropped.
Claw shape, light weight, 3395 sensor, huano blue pink dots, stock corepadz.
Hoping it will replace my current DAv3 main. Was using the XM2we prior but it’s build quality is disappointing compared to my XM1r. Real shame and the complete silence from EGG on the XM2w really just killed my following for them.
I am very keen on the Pro X review, what mods would you do to it to change your mind? Also Randoom but whats the mousepad on the gaming setup? Or is there a tour vid up on that setup?

honestly, after using the Pulsar X2 (moving from an Aerox 3 that I keep as my backup now, as the X2 can't do bluetooth wireless and I sometimes need it) for a few month, I fail to see how I could ver get a better mouse.
Weight is good, bit higher latency is a non issue for me, shape is perfect, no holes, solid build, switches are nice and price is fair.
Seeing mice going up the 150 bucks mark is kind of a hard thing to see. 5 years ago we wouldn't even have debated on this: this would have been a price no one should ever put in a mouse, yet it seems that 150 USD mouse are coming out every other week

i have the first g pro and can count on 1 hand how many times ive even used a cable on it thanks to the charging mousepad they sell.
This is a good informative video with plenty of common sense - the hard data is were it's at. Now we just need the same for 1k an 4k polling rates lol.

My apm test scores improved significantly when I started using the deathadder v3 faker edition with 4k dongle I went from very inconsistant scores to always scoring over 200 apm and best score 254 hit amazing sensor just wish it wasn't so loud.

@badseedtech I own a pg27aqdm, you got me thinking about getting the aqn instead, why do you think you play better with it instead of the aqdm? Do consoles also display fine on the aqn?
MZ1 to Pulsar X2H sounds awesome, can't wait to hear your thoughts on that one soon. Would also be curious to know what you think about the Ninjutso Sora.

The Pulsar X2 V2 clicks have a similar sound, now i am interested in how the new Superlight feels but do prefer the Pulsar shape a bit more

I was worried i messed up because I just bought the OG superlight, then I realised it's over $120 more than the OG and the changes are minor at best
im wondering if the side buttons are more durable, i use them often and the side buttons on my superlight gave out and caved in
do the buttons have post travel? and do they shift left and right under ur finger if u apply pressure?
Just recently picked up a Viper V2 Pro Hyperspeed a couple weeks ago, when my basilisk ultimate randomly died. It’s my first wireless ultralight mouse, and I am a changed man. Hard to imagine it gets better than that.

You could try DA3 pro and viper mini signature(or even viper mini/cobra) as alternative shapes
Other than that there is no way gpxs2 will overtake viper v2 pro and viper v2 pro is still probably the best pro mouse available at the moment
@@goochipoochiei have both the Deathadder V3 Pro and Viper V2 Pro and i love the form of the DAv3 Pro, but the scroll whell feels so loose and it jumps all the time in multiple games, while the Viper V2 Pro has such a tactile and tight scroll wheel, i love it but the shape doesn't fit my hand very well and i get tired quickly...

@@Agent_Alpha I got the DAV3 pro faker edition. It fixes the issues that the og v3 pro had (copied scroll wheel from wired, and same coating, much better qc)
It tops charts because the shape feels great to hold. I hate the shape of other brands, they're always either too long, hump too big/small, terrible scroll wheel, bad software or a combination of all the above. I've got the GPX Superlight and love it.

I’ve been thinking about switching from the OG Superlight to the Viper V2 pro. I’m sad that Logitech doesn’t include a USB C braided cable for $160. Not a dealbreaker but that’s so much money to then buy a braided USB-C for it.
I picked up an OG Viper used for $10 to try the shape. I’ll see what to get next if I like it.

Very informative video, told me what I needed to know. This iteration feels like a lazy update and as someone who owned the gpx I probably won't be getting this one any time soon. Also loving the x2h shape rn!
they did change a lot of things to justify calling it 2. they removed some plastic from the inside. changed almost all the electronics. However the final result is not all the different...perhaps the superlight was already very good.
I bought the OG Superlight before realizing it has no DPI button on mouse and sent it back in exchange for the Viper V2 Pro. Sad to see no update to this feature so I'll have to skip this version too.
The powerplay mat is amazing, I hope they don't drop support for it...
My only question is if they improved the side buttons because the OG GPX's side buttons are terrible.
For me i initially owned the g305 which i loved simply because it fit my hand perfectly so it felt seemless while gaming or doing work. After a while i broke it by mistake and moved on to buy the superlight. While it is an excellent mouse in quality and performance i learned the hard way that in the end shape is king, period. Doesn't matter if it's the best mouse in the world, if it doesn't fit right then it's not for you. It was a tad too big for my small hands so inevitably i gave it to my brother and......went back to the g305. Yes, from 130$ back to 35$ mouse.
I wish logitech released a superlight mini, or made a variation of g305 but with integrated battery management of the superlight and same battery life per charge. There are a lot of competitive wireless mini mice out there but most of them are from smaller companies that operate primarily in the US. In Europe their products are not easy to find off the shelf and customer support is non-existent, even a replacement (RMA warranty) would have to come straight for the US which would mean import taxes and 20-30$ in shipping. Might as well buy a new mouse at that point.

Yep. But after going to a 20g mouse, I don't think that I'll be able to ever go back to any other, heavier mouse... It's really a game-changing experience.
100% agree that they should make a new version of g305 with maybe a better build quality, switches, etc and performance plus a lighter weight. I would definitely buy it since I've been using the g305 for more than a year and it feels comfortable in my hand with the "egg" shape that they have.
Logitech silently put optical switches and Hero 25k sensor onto the G502 Hero, if only the G305 receive the same treatment.
I also owned a g305 and do you possibly think that if you just used the mouse for a really long time you over time just came to think that its the best "shape" when it was just what you felt the most used to for a gaming mouse over time? and therefore if you gave more time using a new mouse and got used to that shape that it would become the best shape for you then? so i guess im asking if there raelly is a better shape
I know everyone is saying the clicks are heavy, but imo they can’t be worse than the mushy clicks on the original superlight. I would have preferred a light crispy click similar to that of the original g403 but that is probably more to do with that way the housing was made
Nice, I actually have the Superlight OG queued up in my Amazon cart and haven't bought it yet, actually would be my second Superlight. Glad I waited to see this video. I guess I can still go both ways since the improvements aren't a huge jump and most likely won't affect my day to day experience. Might still get the OG one if I can get it at a discounted price.

Being a CS player mainly: 400DPI and 80G are my sweet spot. I found my home in the SteelSeries Prime Wireless and i love che clicky magnetic switches...I wonder if the optical are as reliable and if I could have some benefit from a lighter mouse...
I strongly advise you to make a review on Darmoshark M3s Varun, this mouse just blew my mind, such a cool device, but for such a price it is almost impossible to find. And yes, this mouse also offers a top sensor + 2000hz out of the box.
Overall is the Superlight a nice mouse, but now had to send back the second G Pro Superlight.
Had the problem with both that the reel has started to make itself independent at some point.
Every time I scrolled down, he scrolled up a bit, which was very tiring in the long run. This must be improved in any case.

So I have the super light I like it.
My only complaint was with the microusb port.

Semi related but Asus OLED had pretty significant input lag issued that was subsequently fixed with a firmware update. Might wanna check that @BadSeed Tech
Just bought a SL2 on Sunday. So far really liking it. I know the shape is a bit "safe" or "boring" but honestly as I have gotten older I kinda prefer my peripherals be able to blend into an office environment and still be able to play like professional equipment. I don't need a mouse that looks like a spaceship. I need a mouse that preforms well, is comfortable, and looks like a mouse.
Good to know the update isn’t really too big of a change personally I don’t care about switching to type C or a 3 gram difference
Could you share latency methodology? Something seems very off compared to other peoples and Nvidia's mouse latency data.

I picked up a superlight about 7 months ago now and I'll never go back. Every other mouse feels like a brick and powerplay is just amazing too. Never having to charge my mouse? wild shit.

there is no need for 4k polling rate. the battery life on 4k is empty within 1 day. the 2k and 95 hours of the superlight 2 is perfect.

I'm using a G Pro Wireless and its my favorite gaming mouse. I'm gonna wait to see if the original superlight goes on a deep sale though. I know this sounds kinda dumb but that mouse in white is going to look really awesome with my vintage keyboards, and my CRT monitor.

I like everything but the switches. They use the same Omron optical-mechanical switches from tge g502 X. It's not bad. It's just there's no other option to replace it with.
I have never been a fan of the Gpro shape, I have been using a g703 for so long (sadly the left click is starting to die) because nothing can beat its shape for me (not even the deathadder v3 feels right).
If they made a g703 superlight I'd be happy
You would think Logitech would be on that since it was a popular mouse and they would only need to transfer internals and do so small engineering on the weight balance
When will we get a G703 Superlight. I use an OG G Pro Wireless everyday and it's fine (aside from the battery life). The fact that they don't make an ergonomic Superlight is criminal.
