- This S2000 had multiply mis fire codes and low power.
We'd already diagnosed it and it's somewhat of a common problem.
Also, We took the time to show how easy the Titanium elbow is to install.
We've been asked about this and figured it's easy to make a video. - Авто та транспорт
Very technical, specialized content that appeals to a select audience. Fortunately, I am part of that audience. Thank you, as always.
Woah, those elbows are absolutely beautiful! That along with the black treatment is a new favorite of mine. Definitely love your guys passion and personal touches on everything you make. Keep up the work, can't wait for the new and improved website you got in the works!!
Really appreciate your prime work guys.!!! I love driving it thank you again 👍
Great attention to detail and most of all PERFORMANCE!!...you do awesome wrk
The care you guys take with each and every customer’s car speaks volumes. It’s no wonder people come from all over to have LHTPERFORMANCE do the work they want done. Bravo guys.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾.
Great video - never boring.
The tech section showing how to tell what valves are leaking was nice. Not many people have shown this technique.
It was good to show the titanium tube going in. I was curious as to how the filter cover gap was sealed and now I know.
Nice to see you're using high quality Norma hose clamps which I can see all the way from the Highlands of Scotland.
Just amazing content, some great tips right there. Great job with that head restore.
Wow always good to see work well done and more. Wish u guys in my area hard to find mechanics like I guys.
another great vid! would love to bring my s2 to your shop some day.
S2000 content never gets old
im glad to see that your camera is starting to focus lol XD
My s2000 does the same starter sound. Doesn't always happen. I finally know what causes it, thanks!
Nice little Easter egg. @ 14:10 I have heard this grinding from my AP1 starter as well. Oddly enough it stopped happening when I started using a battery tender. But if I forget to connect the battery tender it will grind. It only does it once and I can't replicate it until days have gone by without driving it.
That titanium elbow is nice , and yea there was a lot of build up
You guys do awesome work....cant't get enough of the channel! When you crank the motor without the head, and the timing chain is still installed, do you have to do anything to make sure it lines up properly when putting everything back together? I currently have the head off my motor and wanted to check all the cylinder walls, but was unsure if would throw the chain out of alignment. Thanks in advance
Even w/I customer purchasing the trio, I like the idea of just doing the VTEC solenoid, I think it's a great personal touch, sort of like when you spend money on performance parts they give you a lisense plate frame or something.
A License plate frame costs us .75c. The solenoid costs us almost $18 based on 100. If you’ve been following for a while you’ll notice I try to give things away for customers coming out of town. If I give you one will you stop asking this question on every thread ? 🤷♂️
@@LHTPerformance John, I have been following for some time, I'll gladly pay for one. I just love the work you do and thought you hadn't seen the comment.🤞
Just curious, why don't you guys offer an engine torque damper ?
16:40 Probably got enough heat into the starter to stop it from happening again. That's always been a cold behavior of the starter for me (doesn't do it on my current, but did on previous ones).
How much is a titanium arm kit from you guys? I just did the LHT intake mod and a spoon air duct is next. Very much a fan of the OEM+ look
Do y’all make the elbow for a k20 SI I would love to put that on my fa5 that looks Beautiful
Does titanium change the sound of the engine? Like more resonance?
u guys don't dyno them after redoing the head?
So does the new coolant replace the type 2 blue coolant?
Hey lht does engine rebuild include piston and rods or only bearing and gaskets…
part number for k&N filter-fresh air intake for the catalytic converter??? thanks
What fluid is that yellow stuff? That titanium elbow looks great!
I need one of those TI elbows ..
how much do you guys charge to get a head rebuilt if i send it out
Did you guys use distilled water or tap water?
wouldnt an aluminium arm be better than titanium because it would dissipate the heat better?
Just for reference, there is no such thing as a "boring" S2000 video 😁👍👍.
About how much is a head job like that?
Can you guys build my s2k i can’t find a reliable place here in Jersey..too many thieves
What can y’all do for my 2006 Acura TSX 6 speed. I absolutely love the Fab work all do. I would Really appreciate some suggestions from the master
IMO Lower it on springs or coilovers, hasport solid rear mount, tires, wheels, hondata to start!
I have the same starter problem, would love to see a video on changing it, it usually happens when the car is cold btw
Jerdy It’s pretty straight forward. Disconnect the battery, remove the power wire to the back of the starter ( 12mm) remove them starter signal ( pulls off) then remove the 2 14mm bolts. It’s not hard, just tricky.
🤩
Hey why don't you link your website in your Description?
what exactly does the LHT elbow achieve? weight reduction, simplified airflow.
Yes, in addition titanium is not a very conductive metal
LMA B series which did you use on Integra Skunk2 LMA or Honda genuine upgrade spring type
The shop Integra has oem hydraulic type LMA. We’ve used both oem and skunk2 spring type with no noticeable difference. I personally put over 50k on the skunk2 in my old GSR sedan.
@@georgefitzgerald5861 Fitted skunk2 Lma other day was not a quick job sounds so much better before sounded like marbles rattling around great content lately keep up the good work
So when u flushed it with water you used regular water? Does it matter if you use distilled water instead of regular water?
Only if you leave it in the car. Once you drain the water all out and add coolant, it doesn’t matter. If you are using water for coolant (track car for example), you would want distilled water to keep your system corrosion-free.
Where can we purchase the elbow, and can you make it 1cm shorter? I'm using a tb spacer.
Princess_Yow DM me on IG. I can make one smaller
Do you sell these titanium elbow in kits? Would love to buy one and install one myself.
Yes. We’ve sold about 8 of them already. Dm me on INSTAGRAM
I'll have a trio to go, please!
How many miles on the head when you reworked it ?

@@carlossuriel4695 - hey Carlos did they replace your starter? How does the car feel with the new head?
@mike A no the starter didn’t get replaced, that will be next along with other lht custom fab work lht twin loop, the car feels 100 times better pulls really hard highly recommend
why does my s2 have a burning smell at the top of the engaine after a valve adjustment
There’s a small amount of oil leaked out and has run down the head. We usually clean off the old oil before starting the engine. It will burn off.
@@LHTPerformance thinks for the reply. yes i think that did heppen. but this smell is coming form the top of the engine at the black plugs cover in the middle
@@LHTPerformance i had new o rings put in. could it be the new rubber smell
@@AJ-kv9vu I’ve never had the rubber smell. Check around the valve cover and make sure the seal didn’t fold over when the valve was installed.
Unfortunately, metal intake tubes become heat soaked and don't help. Plastic performs better.
Your titanium still looks good.
Don Riedel Actually, the volume of air that passed through the short length tube doesn’t show heat increase. While idling, the IATs start to climb, less than one minute they go back. We’ve data tested this.
Don’t call it the trio, call it “THE THREE WAY”!😀
rastaptc 🤣
You can hear starter motor acting up at 14:13
Yep. It’s Very common. We tell our customers if it does it more than 2 times out of 10 ( or is too annoying) we’ll replace it.
I would like to see the titanium elbow 6" longer with a velocity stack and filter. I would think it would add some mid range power
jdm92cb7 We can custom build anything. This was designed to be a direct install with no modifications to the airbox.
Not at the table Carlos....
Uhh?? Lol what you mean
FYI, this is NOTHING like what an F1 head looks like. Well, unless you are referring to the F1 engines from late 80's early 90's. And yes, I do know this for a fact :-)
That’s what I’m referring to. That’s the only F1 head I had the pleasure of seeing.
If you cant change an intake tube don't touch cars.
