S2000 FX300, Titanium Elbow + Shifter Rebuild

- So this is the friend of the " Top end rebuild' customer.
He came for a FX300 clutch and Shifter rebuild with Diff fluid change to Mobil 1. Then he saw the LHT Titanium elbow we had just finished, and wanted one.

Love your healthy mindset, I like doing work on friends cars, I do it sometimes for free, which feels awesome.
I've always tinkered with the shifter on all my cars that I've owned. Really sloppy and unprecise, only takes half an hour to grease ball ends of the cables and clean the ball, a friend who owns an EP2 aswell, was baffled on how great it shifted.
I have an 06 new formula red S2000 and i love it so much! your videos are very entertaining and full of information!

OMG, I would make the other shop replace the transmission if I ever caught them cutting a hole in the side. I just love the S2000 content, John.
The thing the LHT does impeccably is welding. You always show your expertise. Why didn't you weld and grind that "fork hole" back to spec?

The honest answers from LHT just can't be beat; "we're not the shop where once we like one product everything is just a default." So many shops just default to one specific brand solely based on products they're trying to sell. For example, a shop in my area suggests Competition Clutch for every application. Pick the correct/best part per application.
So many times shops will sell products with the best margins. I’ve never wanted to do that, ( Maybe why we’re still a small shop) I only sell you what I use personally.

I can so relate to the building a car and the customer being happy. I sold my 8th gen si and the guy is in love with the car and is happy to buy the car from me

Did the airbox have a plate over where the resonator was? On S2ki we did some testing with those odd air inlets and they seem to help for temp

Yes it does but i couldnt tell how much but i had a 180hp 2.2litre natural aspirated and you could tell very much. Almost like driving with another person extra.
Will the ti elbow work with a throttle body that's spaced 10mm? If not, could you guys make one that's 10mm shorter?

Philthese93 It’s a very complex piece. It transitions from 3” to 3.5” with compound bends.
