    You guys are such a rarity these days. I work at a dealership, but I wouldn't buy a car from another dealer only because of the fact there are so many techs out there that just don't care about what they're doing. They have no pride in their job and that is very disturbing. The fact that you share so many tips and techniques with the general public makes these videos that much better. I'm dying to get my RSX Type S in for the K24/K20 swap and I know this would be a great video series. I too am extremely OCD and I love the ultra-clean work and attention to detail I see in every project and every normal maintenance job you guys tackle. Happy New Year to you all and best of luck to George with the truck also:-) Looking forward to the exhaust and piping on the NSX!!

    I wish I could work for you guys! I have this ocd thing too and I just want to take care of every car I work on and add my own personal touches here and there. Unfortunately working at a dealership and being the only one there with that mindset severely limits my opportunities to really take care of the cars the way I would like. But its nice to see you guys do your thing and really take care of these cars and customers!

There are people out there that want the same kind of service, continue and I am sure you will find clientele to keep you comfortably in business. On the topic of TLC, any chance you can find a solution for the cold start grind issue on the k24 motors? I’ve read it’s the VTC actuator but appears to return after time with the stock Honda parts. Being in Florida I know this will be hard because it doesn’t get cold there, but I’d love to hear what trusted Honda guys can find. For reference I’m driving a 2015 Honda Civic Si. Thanks John & George. I love how much you care. It truly warms my heart. I’ve said this in the comments a thousand times but I really wish I lived closer. My wife’s TSX needs some LHT TLC!

    • @LHTPerformance
      @LHTPerformance  6 років тому +1

      fast02gt Well, you have to decide what your long term goals are and how you want it to run. I would do the heads, cam, valve springs, rockers, long tube headers with X and tune. It will do 450-475 with a cool lumpy V8 sound. Or, so an A and A supercharger on the stock motor and do 500-550whp with room to grow. If your into road course, the first option would be better.

    • @LHTPerformance
      @LHTPerformance  6 років тому +1

      DirtDude117 We have tried larger throttle bodies, We have them in stock also. There’s very little gains. With our larger intake manifold and throttle body combo, there’s only 10-15whp gain at the 450whp range. I hate to sell the things that don’t work. I’m not all about sales.

    • @DirtDude117
      @DirtDude117 6 років тому

      @@LHTPerformance I meant more about the Coolant Bypass so you do not run coolant through the throttle body and it doesn't raise IATs or have those hoses routed like that. It's more of a warm climate modification to clean up the area.

    I use STP wipes to clean metal parts, the engine bay, and engine.
    www.stp.com/products/appearance-products/Cleaning-and-Engine-Degreasing-Wipes
    I wouldn't use them on parts that have paint that needs to be coddled.

    Pro tip- You can clean the fan and make it look shiny and new without soaking it in harmful plastic dissolving petroleum distillates.

    They used a screwdriver to take the center cap out?! Those godless heathens.
    oof. they didn't put in oil. either. that's awful. my civic does not have an idiot-light for the oil. I could've started my car up and driven a few miles without oil and wouldn't have any idea. you know until the engine eats itself.

      Kevin S. It’s sad to see something that gets damaged to save a minute or two. I will never let my car be serviced by someone that’s chasing time.

    Great video! I'll be watching out for you next video!
    I just bought a 2005 S2k.
    I want to keep is stock with the exception of a cat back dual exit exhaust.
    Can you recommend an exhaust which is slightly louder than OEM? Was looking at the Revel Medallion. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
