OMG yes to the baby blue suri/fingering combo for the balaclava !! The good thing about a balaclava is that you don’t need to pair it with a scarf, so it might be a good choice for branching out of your colour comfort zone (:

I also have the problem of picking up single skeins at new stores as a souvenir, and now I have wayyyy too many. Maybe I'll give the 12 in 12 sock knitting a try this year to use some of those up. The audio was so much better on this video, and also, your hair is adorable!!
I’m glad it’s not just me! It’s a fun way to remember a store but it definitely takes up a lot of space over time. I’m glad the audio was better and thank you for the compliment on my hair 😊
I am doing a yarn no buy this year and want to knit only from stash so I’m excited for your stash busting this year! For using scraps I like making crochet baskets. You just hold a bunch of yarns together to make about a bulky weight, crochet a flat circle until you’re happy with the size and then single crochet until happy with the height. They are great for storing projects and look really good in lots of crazy colours.

I have also fingering weight skein, and want to make a hat. I was thinking to do just regular 2x2 ribbed hat and give it to my dad next Christmas :) I know it early to think about Christmas gifts, but this year I did not have enough time to knit Christmas gifts, so next year is the year of Christmas gifts :D
That’s a great idea! I think it’s smart to start Christmas gifts as early as possible to keep stress down around the holidays 💓

My plan also is use out my stash, but there is projects where I am buying additional mohair, because I love that tipe of fabric.
That rose DK wight yarn I would use for hat, I am not inlove in socks with this yarn weight. And I am making no 4th Balaclava, omg:))) I particularly using out my old stash, and after selling, If that color isn't my favorite! At least in this way yarn will get some love!

I’ve accumulated them randomly! A few came with bed sheet sets I ordered, one is from the brand stasher which sells reusable ziplock bags, and others I got from local yarn stores! Any drawstring bag will work to store everything and I bet you could find some at a thrift store or at a local yarn store 😊
