I wind yarn weekly on Sunday evenings. We usually end the day with sports or an easy going movie and it's a great way to relax but still feel productive. I hand wind all my yarn (an watching you untangle cakes that cave in on themselves reinforces why i dont use a ball winder!) because I enjoy the task so this can take time but then im ready to cast on whatever during the week!

That’s a lovely routine! And kudos to you for hand winding every ball. I could never do that. And I should clarify that I only had to detangle the yarn cake that my cat got into 😂 usually I don’t make a huge mess with my ball winder cakes. But I love the intentionality of hand winding your yarn!

I did some spring cleaning last week and it makes me feel so free when it’s done! 😃

That quarter zip looks so good on you! I know you did a recent color analysis, I hope that green is on there!

Thank you!!! That’s my favorite sweatshirt so that’s really nice to hear ☺️ the green color is on my color analysis- which makes sense why I love it so much!

Hi Sarah! I enjoyed this video- a good reminder that some things don't take as long as we think. I was also able to get several rows of a project done while I watched. I really appreciate that your videos vary in length. I am a knitter in Florida, so I am always on the lookout for good knits for warmer weather- the bralette you showed is super cute.
My least favorite knitting chore is untangling yarn. I don't know how it gets so bad sometimes, and I am guilty of having to cut some yarn to help with the process.
Question- what are you using for your to-do list that you share on screen? I love the idea of having a checklist like that. Thanks!

Hi Stephanie! Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Untangling yarn is also my least favorite knitting chore! It takes so much longer than I think it will- unlike every other knitting chore 😂
I actually made that to-do list as an image in Canva, but I use Notion for my actual to do lists! I feel like it has similar features to the to do list I showed to make it fun to check things off.

Isn’t it awesome?? I used a tutorial for making an onion holder on UA-cam and it’s so great. It was really easy too!
