This has tall sights (blackout), a threaded barrel with thread protector, an extended mag well and higher capacity mags which hold 22 rounds! AND, the slide is optics ready for a red dot!

    Awesome video. I just purchased one. One thing you didn’t mention. I get it that it’s a loaner pistol, is that SA give you a free optic mounting plate. There is a coupon in the paperwork, you go to the SA website. Give them the model and serial number plus what optic your going to use. I chose the Holosun 507c. Around 2 weeks later SA gave me a tracking number. Less than a week later I received the plate. It uses the original screws. Plug an play installation. Nothing fits better than Manufacturers parts. Perfect drop in install including the optic.

    Solid Video. I really like this new Elite line. I also agree with you on those blacked out sights. For me, I would prefer night sights (no outline back w/ outlined tritium in the front) or at least fiber optics.

    I had mine for about 400 rounds when the firing pin striker started getting hung up. I pulled the striker and it was filthy and gummed up. I had never had it out before. I thought I used a reasonable amount of solvent and applied small amount of ballistol via a q tip on the usual spots. Would an upgraded striker help avoid this?

    • @HammerStriker
      @HammerStriker  3 роки тому +1

      I have heard a lot of good things about the Canik and won't dispute what I have heard. However, I did handle one at a local shop and the squarish back by the beavertail hits the first knuckle of my thumb rather than blending into my hand. I would end up not liking it simply because it will rub there, I had another gun (Kahr CW45) do that and it is gone.
      Rather than get one and end up giving what is likely a great quality gun a less than stellar review while nursing a blister, I will pass on the current generation. I will check periodically to see if that has been revised over time.

    Okay I'm going to start off real nice by saying that you showed up in my recommended videos in UA-cam because I love springfield.xdm. And I got 2 of em im 10mm one of them is an elite one of them is an original now this is where we're going to get a little critical man....... I handle my 10 mm better.... at the range then you do with a 9 mm.... because the way it looks in your video it looks like you're shooting with a 10 which means you are not managing recoil well I would suggest you dig deep into some pistol training.... now this video is old and people continue to learn it would take me 20 minutes to teach you so I don't know if you have advanced and I am not calling you an amateur or a novice..... I call you Semi-Pro you're almost there but you got to go to Mike Glover's fieldcraft survival and check out his pistol training and learn to get up underneath that trigger guard with your pointer finger with your left hand and try to twist the gun almost out of your hand and you can learn some of the finer techniques of that from that guy from Warrior Poet Society I'm just teaching you what I've learned and I thought that I knew everything about pistol shooting and then I continue to learn and advanced my techniques for years and years and years and years and I am just simply sharing this with you you should be able to handle that 9 mm way better than you are.

Go watch those videos from those dudes one of them's a professional shooter and I think he might have been military or law enforcement or something and the other guy's a Navy SEAL.... and he knows his s*** and teaches it well.
