All you have to do is get a Dawson front fiber optic front sight 33 bucks on the XDM , the trigger on Xdm is one of the best strikers I ever had, including my CZ p10c
Could you please do a video on long gun safety systems like you did with pistols? I learned so much in those videos and would like to buy more long guns but safety is paramount to me and I don’t know what to buy. After watching some of your videos I decided to buy another Glock (the 43x) after learning about how they’re not fully cocked at all times and have a firing pin block and trigger safety. And I really didn’t want another Glock as I think they’re terribly ugly. But again safety is paramount. Anyways thanks for everything you guys do.
Solid video as usual. I think this new offering from SA is a major miss. All of these new guns should have a plate option IMO. Just because it has a plate, does not mean you have to use it, but it give everyone a great deal of flexibility. I also like the "option" of threaded barrel on all pistols. The manufacture can offer it a reasonable uncharge. I know the OSP version have offered both a regular and threaded barrel option. That is a fantastic option. Add for all...please. I was considering the long slide/barrel version of this new gun, but with no plate, I will pass. Come on SA...step up.
Thank you. One though on the long-slide is that you get two things with the long slide. Longer barrel, which this one has. Longer sight-radius which can be very useful until you slap an optic on it and start ignoring the sights.
the carry size gun is a compact slide, full size grip. you said the opposite. the modular system for the p320 has also become very widely used with sig offering many different grip frames and aftermarket companies making grip frames as well. the only time you couldnt get grip frames was the first year of production when the system was new. most of their models are also optics ready with the delta point pro optics cut as per the military's request, it wasnt for their optics. they made their optics footprint to match the DPP cause thats what the military wanted. also, the gun that is comparable to the xdm elite would be the m17/m18/xcarry/xcompact.. not an x5 legion haha. the x5 legion is a competition gun. the xdm elite seems fine but its a huge fail they arent all optics ready. any new gun that comes out today that isnt optics ready is just a horrendous oversight.
When l had a Springfield XDM 5.25 9mm l would have traded it for a Sig P320 carry model if in really good shape but over 6 months l had no takers and ended up with a new Canik TP9sfx and l can tell you l don't miss the XDM while it was a good gun the trigger and reset doesn't even compare to the TP9SFX not even close I'd take the Sig over the Springfield because it seems to hold it value much better and is more desirable at least to me and l believe most people not to mention l payed 600 for the XDM it was in very good shape like new got 400 dollars for it after 6 months of trying to get 450 for it and it had a PRP 165 dollar trigger upgrade in it and it's still not as good as the stock TP9sfx trigger so l had 765 dollars in the gun and got 400 when l sold it the good news is the TP9sfx costed 460 dollars out the door and now has a freedomsmith 75 dollar trigger that is billet making it the absolute best striker fired trigger on any gun period in my opinion
@@Fyoutube444 what's ridiculous because l have a opinion l would take a Ruger Walther SIG or Canik hell even my Arex Delta gen 2 pistol and it was under 400 dollars over a Springfield to me Springfield is over rated and over priced and doesn't perform as good as these other brands
Thanks for the reviews. I got the 4.5 springfield.
I like the lower bore axis on the XDm.
Getting ready to pull the trigger on the XD. Great review!
Thank you.
This is exactly the comparison that i was looking forward to. Great vid!
Excellent vids guys! Thanks.
Thank you.

I 100% agree. I have a ppq and a tp9sfx and I would take the xdm elites trigger out of the box any day.
Springfield all day.
Both are great pistols but for me XDM is very nice i love it.
I’m debating on the 4.5 elite and the 5.25. I have the 3.8
How do you like the 3.8?
Clark Butler please subscribe to my channel and see my XDM vids. The 3.8 is great for cc and overall good
I don’t know if I misunderstood you but the 3.8 does have an optics capable version I have one

Thank you - I will add it to the list. Rifles tend to have less robust safety systems than pistols, but some are better than others.

Not everyone needs a red dot crutch to shoot well or fast lol.

Have many caliber xdm sidearms all are great
Man I miss my sig p250 compact and xdm 3.8 9mm that was stolen 😪
Can you paint the front site on the XDM?
You can but it is serrated. It will be hard to get a clear dot without drilling a shallow hole in the center to make a well to put the paint in.
I've seen videos of people using the standard 19 round mags in the xd. Do they work or not?
They will work except when the magwell is installed. I suppose if you hit it hard enough it will catch but that will be likely to damage something.
He literally addresses this in the video lol.
Can you conceal carry the XDM elite 4.5? If so how bad is the printing?
Why couldn’t you? And would print as much as any full sized double stack hand gun..
I have the XDM Elite 4.5 and in the right holster it conceals very well. I have mine in a Vedder light tuck. Great set up.
.
When will the XDM Elites be released to the market?
@Evan Moyer cant find them in stock anywhere.
I just got the XDM Elite 4.5 yesterday and I love it!!! I had to order online.
i bought the 3.8 and the 5.25 off grabagun
@@ericsmith4423Your probably bored of it already. Let me borrow that thing so I can play cops and robbers.
Pity the Sig is so top heavy looking.
