Never owned an SA handgun been shooting for 40 years, I just pick up the osp elite 9mm just to see , and must say was very surprised how dam well this gun is made and works , only need talon grips on it , excellent handgun very under rated by the way better trigger then any of my CZp10c triggers and is one of the best out of box
I bought the XDM Elite 4.5 within the first month it was on the market. I love it! It's a great gun! I own an XDS mod 2 as well, I've put a thousand rounds through XDS and about 250 rounds through the XDM and have had no issues whatsoever! I would have put more rounds through XDM but ammo is hard to come by these day's. Side note: the standard magazine says 19 but it holds 20 rounds plus 1 in the pipe, that's how it sits in my nightstand.
@@gatorb8 Yes!!! That's the whole reason why I bought it. In Reno NV there's a company called L.A.G Holster. They do custom work if they don't have it in stock. That's were I get my IWB holsters for all my guns.
@@ericsmith4423 awesome! Thank you for the reply. I'm in the market for a new carry gun but I wasn't sure about being able to conceal the XDM elite. I plan on putting a muzzle brake and some sort of red dot, not sure what one.
@@gatorb8 you won't be dissatisfied, I promise. Olight makes great lazer / flashlight combos. It's not hard to conceal this gun if you carry appendix. In my state printing is not illegal but I would wear clothes a little on the baggie side due to the size of the grip and the extended mag well. My IBW appendix holster also holds an extra magazine. I highly recommend buying the 22 round magazine as well. That's my backup mag.
Not to mention the SRT and over travel stop on the XDm Elite which were upgrades from the original XDm. I have the original XDm but the bi-tone and the fiber optic front sight and 2 white dot rear. I freaking love my XDm but it's close between that and my Sig Sauer SP 2022. Great review. Thanks!
I got to finally shoot my XDM Elite I love it!!! And I got it brand new in the box all for $400 with tax! I sure got lucky finding it. Guy that sold it to me was going through a tough time due to covid and sold it for cheap. Added a laser to it it’s BEAST
I wish that Springfield would have made the 3.8 Elite with the optics cuts. I am looking for a dedicated Springfield solution, a company along the lines of jegarworks.
Very good video. Thank you for putting it out. As the aware of two different P226’s, I have chosen the Sig verses the XD. I also have a P239 (single stack 9mm) so the manual of arms is identical.
@Hammer Striker I also noticed they are both extremely accurate even with the heavier looking recoil of the Elite. What's the caliber of both pistols? Mines are both 9mm. That is my XDm 3.8 compact and my Sig SP 2022.
I easily prefer the look and style of that MK25. Great looking gun, I also have another Sig pistol. I’d be willing to give that XD a chance. I’d have to try them both out to see what I like. The XD isn’t a very handsome looking gun , in my opinion.
@Hammer Striker it seems like the recoil on the Elite is stronger than your Sig. Was this as noticable with felt recoil as much as it shows in the video? Thanks.
I would avoid steel in all handguns as their chamber tolerances are usually tighter to improve accuracy and don't tolerate steel well. Aluminum tends to work in both until they get hot then may tend to stick and may jump the extractor.
The SIG Sauer P226, a variant virtually identical to the civilian market MK25, was indeed carried / used by the US Navy SEALS for decades. In addition, the US Secret Service and Sky Marshalls carried the very similar SS P229. A lot of US law enforcement officers carry / carried the SS P226 as well. The SS P226 and P229 are tried and proven combat and duty pistols. I do very much like the excellent fit & finish of the XDm series pistols, but I don't care for their benign mushy triggers or their slippery grip texturing. Personally, I shoot my Glock Gen3 and Gen4 9mm Luger pistols better than the XDm. I've found the SS P226 to be the most accurate 9mm Luger pistol I've ever fired out at 25 yards and beyond. I'm not aware of any US Military unit(s) and/or law enforcement units that carry / carried the Springfield Armory XDm / XDm Elite. Can anyone name any?
MikeyinFlorida has the right idea. Check with your local gun store to see what they can order and check the various online retailers to see what they have in stock, they will ship it to a local store for you to pick up.
Thank you. Surprisingly, we get asked a lot about differences between "classics" and their more modern equivalents. I think it is because "Dad has a and thinks it is the best gun on the planet but all my friends have a and say the same."
I have a Springfield XD...I have Glocks...I have 1911s....expensive ones not the entry levels....I have smith and wessons.....as much as I hate to admit it becuz I don't want anything beating my 1911s....there is no comparison...Sig trumps all....IN MY OPINION....and trust me when I say that that hurts me to say.

The XDm is not overrated anymore. It just needed a little time to get out there, now everyone has got one lol. Love my XDm.

Springfield armory 9mm xdm i just purchased one about a month ago and i 💘 it!
@Nobody Knows 👍 and 👍 choice in 🚛 🚘 🔫!
Great video, thank you.
Man, I love the Sig. The Mk25 is my favorite handgun of all time.
Thank you. The MK25 is so much fun to shoot.

RealNigga NewsNetwork still not bad! I finally saw one in an academy and it was $650 before tax
XDM Elite looks very COOL!
Awesome review!
I like the Springfield Elite. I prefer the ergonomics including the Mega Lock grip texture. Plus, the Springfield has extended capacity (22+1).
I own multiple ZDM's and love them all!!!! Amazing pistols
Love the sig. any time I go online trying to look for new guns, i would always end up looking at another sig.
I have both guns without the threaded barrels and both are excellent thought the SIG costs twice as much.
XDM ELITE for Me , they are built so well and Functionality is Amazing and such an Accurate Pistol too. GET ONE , it can do Many Jobs VERY WELL !!!!!

Great informative video.

Silencerco makes a barrel with standard pitch threads for the Sig.
I love my sig sauer p220.....absolutely love 45 acp...9 mm is ok but not my preference.
I love XDM ELITE, is better.

If you want a beautiful handgun, the XD first gen with Talon grips.
It actually look somewhat like the Sig, minus the hammer of course.
@Hammer Striker it seems like the recoil on the Elite is stronger than your Sig. Was this as noticable with felt recoil as much as it shows in the video? Thanks.
One other question - any special restrictions on type of ammo for either, brass only or something like that?
I would avoid steel in all handguns as their chamber tolerances are usually tighter to improve accuracy and don't tolerate steel well. Aluminum tends to work in both until they get hot then may tend to stick and may jump the extractor.
navy still uses the mk25 in teams and boats along with another dozen other types wing nut.
Wondering when we're gonna see that 22tcm vs 5.7 video....
We filmed it and then forgot about it, I will move back up on the list.
@@HammerStriker Cool, thank you..I'm looking forward to it!

Springfield Armory is a Leader in the Industry
Thank you. Very informative. I’m a lefty - does either one accommodate me better?
Thank you. The XDm Elite would be more lefty-friendly for two reasons.
1) It has full-ambi slide stop/release.
2) It has full-ambi mag release.
👍 📹 Springfield armory makes a 👍 🚛 🚘 matic 🔫 and so does Sig sauer
The 226 is one of the greatest handguns of all time! Beautiful and sexy! The XDM looks like something Hyundai designed! Gaudy and fugly!
MK 25 Sig is the Winner
You sound like Jason Penopolis from the show Home Movies
Love my elite
Guys how nuch p226 sig sauer 9mm right now? Please answer my question i love this one.
Just look online

Thanks mate..
Probably 700 used, new a lot higher.
Sig P226 is legendary no one compete 226😊
How can you compare a Chevy nova to a Kia Optima lol good vid
Thank you. Surprisingly, we get asked a lot about differences between "classics" and their more modern equivalents. I think it is because "Dad has a and thinks it is the best gun on the planet but all my friends have a and say the same."
Haha my old man's the same if it's not a colt 1911 its junk
I remember when the last Chevy nova was a Toyota Celica with a Chevy nameplate.
Both were identical but the Nova cheaper.
I bought the XDM and an AR-15 for the price of the SIG kekeke
smart
I bought the Mk25 cuz I could afford it haha 😅
Has Springfield addressed the godawful trigger reset on the XDs? Used to be like a DAO.
That rollpin in the the p226's slide bothers me so bad. I'm sure it's fine but I just couldn't part with the shitload of cash and put up with it.
the old 226 has the roll pins, newer ones does not
Sig= solid dinosaur (nothing wrong with that)
SA= hot new babe (ay papi)
"They're not the elite, We're the Elite"! -President Donald J. Trump
MK25 is definitely is the winner.
I have 2 springfields and would give them both for a p226. 226 is way better
P226 Sao legion is indeed much better

Apples and oranges comparison lol.
