Check out Indian trees campground in Montana. The Philipsburg campground at Georgetown lake, Montana is the best spot and an awesome drive from Anaconda. Lots of things to do in the area
The Lost Coast in northern CA, Mattole valley blm. Right on the ocean. Dry camping but they do have vault toliets. Your camped right on the ocean. And a river off to the side. Very secluded. $14 a day if I remember correctly.
Ok so I’m on the road for 3 weeks. Sold home and cars and boats jet ski’s and bought my dream rig! You are inspirational. Loving life. Taking notes ……. Keep the great tips coming
Have you ever checked out “6 mile creek”? Also Army corp park. The best known secrets in AL. I wonder if still exists? Only 7.00 in the 1990’s. Right on AL River. Love your videos! 👍 keep them coming!
Swan Bay Resort & Marina, McLaren Campground, Long Sault Parkway, Ingleside, ON, Canada. We will be in Main at this campground on the first of May. Cedar Haven Family Campground, Baker Road, Freeport, ME, One more for now Lake Erie State Park.
Sigsbee RV park on Naval Air Station Key West is a GREAT place to stay! Hard to get in from Oct thru April, but well worth it if you can get it. Must be able to get access to military base to use this. Pleanty of laundry available and over 500 dry camping sites if you can't score one of the 93 FHU site. Book exactly 180 days out if you want to get FHU...they fill up fast.
You guys are awesome. About two weeks ago we stayed at Clark County shooting facility. It’s a great place with nice view of Vegas at night. For shooting enthusiasts I would also recommend Josephine County Sportsman Association gun range/RV park in Grants Pass OR.👍🏻 And Ben Avery shooting facility campground, North Phoenix AZ. World class range.
Richardson Grove State Park on highway 101 in California. It’s part of the Avenue of the Giants. Right by the Eel River and the scenic drives are epic. It’s just a ten minute drive to Garberville, one of the centers of the counter culture of the sixties and seventies in Northern California, and yes, that includes all the pot farms back in the woods. Eureka is a little over an hour away and there are plenty of quaint little towns along the way. One of our favorites is Ferndale, an artsy city with several excellent examples of Victorian architecture.
Great list. We've visited a couple of these campgrounds. If your on I-10 outside of Tuscan check out Katchnar caverns state park. Ten miles off I10. Of course the caverns are a must see.
Love this video. We loved WP Franklin (COE)in Alva Fl. kind of like Ortona South COE. Also, if you can't get into the Airforce Academy, try Cheyenne Mountain State Park in Colorado Springs.
I knew y’all would bring up creede despersed camping. We were nervous when we got up there with our cornerstone because the spots yall stayed in were full. We had to go further down the trail and it was way to choppy to get our rig down there. Y’all’s spot is always full now lol! But we went there to try at least. So we stayed at Mountain View’s in Creede it was incredible but expensive.
Thanks for this list...now we have more to add to our list! Rafter J Bar Ranch in Hill City SD is great! Close to Mt. Rushmore and all the other sites! Safe travels
I'm afraid to share this, because it's so amazing, but we are at Big Hart Campground in Thomson,GA. It is stunning! It is owned by the COE but run by the county. It has the COE feel! W/E, nice bath houses, a dump station and amazing hosts! $30 a night. Every site has a view of beautiful Clark Hill Lake and the fishing must be great by the looks of the fishing boats each day! We have spent 12 days here and will definitely be back!
We loved Watkins Glen NY state park even more than Letchworth. Great video thanks for sharing. In Ontario Canada (home) our favourite provincial parks are Killbear ProvincialPark & Bon Echó Provincial Park.
Favorite campgrounds: Twin Peaks at Organ Pipe National Monument, Ajo, AZ; all of the Maricopa County (Phoenix area) Parks - especially Cave Creek & Usery Mountain; Roper Lake State Park - Safford, AZ; Top Sail State Park, Santa Rosa Beach, FL; K’seugi Ken Campground at Denali State Park, Trapper Creek, AK; Kinaskan Lake Provincial Park, Iskut, BC.
That is so funny, when your video started and I said Gunter Hill will be on the list (First one). We will be at Gunter Hill in April and headed to Babb Pizza for my Birthday! Enjoyed your list.
Nice recap of yall's favorite camp grounds. Ya'll have been to some beautiful places, I'd bet it's really hard to leave some of those spots. Looking forward to the new spots you do this year. Great videos guys. Thank you for taking us along with you. Ya'll stay safe on the road and God bless ya'll during your travels.
Wow… I worked until last year at the Mill site in Lee Vining. I now work in June Lake doing government work. You are right the food there at the Mobil station is great! Kinda fun to hear you talk about it here. I’ve lived in this area for 12 years now, and it is the most beautiful place on earth. Did you get a chance to go into the June lake loop?
Many years ago when my wife and I were full timers we were the campground hosts at the Air Force Academy Campground and we loved it. Back then you could even eat your meals at the academy cafeteria. Unfortunately, years later, some of the campers wore out their welcome by not dressing appropriately (they had a dress code) so now that perk is no longer allowed😢
I'm super excited to find you and your videos! We are new to the RV world with much to learn. Husband is retired military and part of the VA system, so we will definitely use the facilities you've mentioned. Thanks for posting this information, I know it will help us.
Thanks for the tip on Gunter Hill. We're passing through this summer and it will be a perfect spot to stop for the night especially since I have an access pass.
Phil is from Colorado Springs… I went I went to General William Mitchell High School graduating in 1972. My Dad was in the Air Force and stationed at then Ent Air Force Base
Phil and Stacy, thanks for sharing this information. Although we are not sull-timers, we LOVE to RV across this great land of ours. Phil, a special shout-out to the Navy. Our grandson is stationed at King's Bay in Georgia (submariner). He's on the USS Florida and we are SOOOOOO proud of him. My wife and I love to travel to the Southeast to visit him in Georgia. Safe travels and God Bless America!
What, No Pacific NW favorite camp ground? (Only one mentioned on the west coast…) These were great places but you’re missing out. Salt Creek Recreation Area county campground is #1 in the State of WA, right on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Most RV sites have great views… you can see Canada from your front door! 🇨🇦 🍁
The Bride and I will be boondocking in the Creede area in May. Thank you for inspiring us to go there. We've not boondocked in the wilderness before, so this will be a new, fun experience. God bless you both!
I'm not sure if you know this Phil and Stacy, but if you have any VA rated service connected disability, you can get an Oregon state park pass for free. The cool thing about Oregon is that you don't have to be an in-state resident to receive it. To top it off, you can stay at any state park in Oregon absolutely free for up to 10 days a month. All you have to pay is the eight dollar reservation fee. And as someone who lives less than an hour from Wall, SD, that camping area is absolutely majestic. I like to take my telescopes out to the Badlands.
Hey Guys, Planning a trip from LA to Austin via Mexico and not sure over 2 weeks, im from Australia and renting the 30ft from Cruise America, I think? Appreciate all tips❤
I believe we stayed in the same site at Gunter Hill. Our pictures definitely match up well. It was a great stay. Ortona South is great as well. It’s the closet COE park to our house. It was nice seeing you in Tampa.
We have stayed at 4th cliffs, but will not return. Great views, but VERY tight, and could not get level. USAF Academy FAMCAMP was wonderful. We’ll be back there.
We start our adventure of journeys in four weeks. We take possession of a 2023 Oliver Elite II, and then a slow build up to extended travels to discover a lot of what you guys have been sharing for years. Thanks for inspiring us!
We’re at Gunter hill now! One of our favs to go to when hubs has to work on site at Gunter AFB. Also I think it’s important to note the sites are concrete and fhu only on the Catoma side. Antioch side is gravel and w/e only and are not very level!
I’ve traveled the world and there’s e’s nothing that beats the Eastern Sierras! You’re talking about Mono Lake. Largely destroyed by the DWP. home to brine shrimp and migratory birds. Omg the Mobil gas station is the best!
Nomad View is a great boondocking site there South of Wall, SD. Also, another great BLM site in SE Utah is Valley of the Gods. Spectacular red rock buttes. Enjoyed your list and yes, half off with the National Park Pass. Thanks
I'm afraid I've found some military campgrounds more expensive than local ones. NAS Whidbey Island, Cliffside RV Famcamp was more expensive than Fidalgo Bay RV Resort just outside Anacortes, WA. Admittedly some of the sites at Fidalgo Bay aren't as nice as Cliffsides, but you are closer to town, a bike ride and you don't have the inconvenience of going through the base's front gate.
Phil - you nailed the pronunciation of Humarock (MA) the 1st time you said it. I was raised in that area. Have lived in Cody for 40+ years and the campground you called Elk Fork (Wapiti/Cody, WY) was not actually Elk Fork CG. Looking just as you were starting in that driveway was not heading into Elk Creek. The river doesn't really flow through this CG like your video shows. The dead end just leads into wilderness area. The only place the river runs through there would be on the right hand side driving in and the sites are all very small. Your rig & ours (50') would not fit in any of the sites and it would even be difficult to get turned around to get back out at the end of the loop within Elk Fork. Think it's most likely (99%) Eagle Creek CG where there is cabins across the river from the camp sites and the bridge down river.
Some veterans qualify to use base amenities including campgrounds. This blog may answer some of your questions: todayissomeday.net/blog/veteran-access-to-military-campgrounds
I have trying to find the name of the camp ground you stayed at while Phil was recovering from his shoulder, I seem to think it was a military campground? Thanks for all you share 577 days unless we can get out there sooner. But our target date is set in stone sooner but never later💜
First of all, Phil's pronunciation of Humarock is correct. You forgot to mentiom how lucky military folk are to have this site. There's nothing close to Boston... this is the closest. You mentioned the train (purple commuter line) to the city. There's a ferry from the south shore too, but I'm not sure if it's near Humarock
❓❓❓Hi guys! So I’m new and we’re going on a 5 month trip . Do you make rv reservation that far ahead? Like should I be so tedious and plan every single night at a place to stay? How do you do it lol … scared newbie
We did in the beginning....newbies as well. But now, we only book that far out if we know we must be somewhere on a set date and fill in the middle as we go. You will find your rhythm the more you do it.
I wish you'd repeat the name and place of the campground After you talk about it; this way we don't have to rewind once we hear something of interest. Great video.
A big thank you to Ben and Chris of @TheMcMillanExpress for their video on inexpensive campsites near Disney World. We have stayed at Bill Frederick Park in Orlando several times. It is a big city park with a good sized RV park with water and electric sites (a few sites also have sewer, and there is a dump station at the exit). A lot of hiking and biking trails, a shopping center nearby with a Publix, and about 20 minutes to Disney. Last time we were there it was about 30 a night.
our mistake. Breakaway box? First camping trip with new Wolf-pup. Brakes locked up 0n camper. Fearing letting camp sit on side of road. We dragged new camper all way home. Costly $500 mistake. New hubs, brakes, all new wiring. Luckily it didn’t catch a fire. Mr & Mrs Lucky Campers
I’m retired from the NY Air National Guard. Do I need a special ID or paperwork to use the military bases. I still have my retired NYANG retired ID card.
Does my fifth wheel need to be less than 10 yrs old to camp at state parks across the USA? We are retiring and want to go explore the states, but not live in an RV park. We want to move sites and see different areas. Thanks!
Where can I find your printed list? On your website?? Loved Colorado Springs!!! I’m a DoD Employee, so I stay at military parks & I have a Access pass. Want to explore Boston/Plymouth Rock area you mentioned. Thanks !!!
Check out Indian trees campground in Montana. The Philipsburg campground at Georgetown lake, Montana is the best spot and an awesome drive from Anaconda. Lots of things to do in the area

Pelican Roost RV Park at Mayport NAS, FL is our favorite!

Those mountain bike trails in Alafia river state park look awesome. I'm putting that one on my list of places to go. 👍👍👍
Y'all need to check out Pointes West near Augusta, Ga. Military resort right on Strong Thurman lake. Every site backs up to the lake

Whoa Nelli Deli, awesome.
You pronounced Humarock correctly! Great job!
Lower Lee Vining is truly beautiful, but have you checked out Convict Lake, or Silver Lake?
We went to a few lakes but I dont remember all the names.
Cool looking lock-system you showed at the COE park. Great video y'all. You're lookin' good!
Thank you!
We loved Watkins Glen NY state park even more than Letchworth. Great video thanks for sharing. In Ontario Canada (home) our favourite provincial parks are Killbear ProvincialPark & Bon Echó Provincial Park.

We went to this campground during January 2024 and it was very nice and the sites were great. Thank you for the recommendation.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good job like always. You always look like your living your best life . Thanks for all your information and time you put in !!!

Great list of campgrounds. I added a couple to my "someday" list! Letchworth is in my backyard, been there many times. Thanks for sharing.........

You are so welcome!
Gettysburg and Amish Country Lancaster County pa 👍👍
Hello love your show🎉
I believe we stayed in the same site at Gunter Hill. Our pictures definitely match up well. It was a great stay.
Ortona South is great as well. It’s the closet COE park to our house.
It was nice seeing you in Tampa.
Very cool!
Can you share what the site number is please? Hoping to be there in a couple of months.
We have stayed at 4th cliffs, but will not return. Great views, but VERY tight, and could not get level.
USAF Academy FAMCAMP was wonderful. We’ll be back there.
Leveling was not easy for us either. It was all about location, location, location!
We start our adventure of journeys in four weeks. We take possession of a 2023 Oliver Elite II, and then a slow build up to extended travels to discover a lot of what you guys have been sharing for years. Thanks for inspiring us!
Congrats!
You were right....HUM-er-rock is how we pronounce the section of Marshfield!!
thanks great info
We’re at Gunter hill now! One of our favs to go to when hubs has to work on site at Gunter AFB. Also I think it’s important to note the sites are concrete and fhu only on the Catoma side. Antioch side is gravel and w/e only and are not very level!

I’ve traveled the world and there’s e’s nothing that beats the Eastern Sierras!
You’re talking about Mono Lake. Largely destroyed by the DWP. home to brine shrimp and migratory birds.
Omg the Mobil gas station is the best!
Dead Horse Point state park in Utah
What an amazing list of campgrounds. Thanks for the tips. We bought an RV to be outdoors and the places you list are our ideal.
Glad it was helpful!
Good job it is hummerrock
Clint Eastwood filmed High Plains Drifter at Mono Lake.
Great suggestions!
Thanks❤
I really miss being in the crew. Getting closer to our goals and then we will be right back in the crew.
We will still be here.
Nomad View is a great boondocking site there South of Wall, SD. Also, another great BLM site in SE Utah is Valley of the Gods. Spectacular red rock buttes. Enjoyed your list and yes, half off with the National Park Pass. Thanks
Big Horn Sheep - far more common than Mountain Goats, the white ones.
AHHHH....we could not remember this to save our tails!! Thanks a ton!
I didn't know Lee Vining had an actual campground! It's quite mountainous so a toad would be useful!
Yes! Lower Lee Vining Campground. It is about 4 miles from the Mobile.
Can you share with me how to get the book for all the military RV parks?
It's in the video description.
Now we will have to go back through our records to see where it was we stayed exactly.
I found it. Thanks so much. It was Eagle Creek. I updated our blog and put a note in the description. Thanks again.
yes to Inyo county.
How does a veteran get into camping on military base ? Do you guys happen to have a video talking about this?
Some veterans qualify to use base amenities including campgrounds. This blog may answer some of your questions: todayissomeday.net/blog/veteran-access-to-military-campgrounds
I have trying to find the name of the camp ground you stayed at while Phil was recovering from his shoulder, I seem to think it was a military campground? Thanks for all you share 577 days unless we can get out there sooner. But our target date is set in stone sooner but never later💜
Alsatian RV Resort in Castroville, TX. Great spot outside of San Antonio.
Gizmo, ❤😢❤
Great information and locations. Can you run your generator at COE campgrounds?
I have not found a COE without electric. You shouldnt need your generator.
@@todayissomeday great information and we do have a Senior pass

Being fellow Veteran Couple too, what are your Top 10 Military Camp Grounds (Stateside)?
We haven't compiled that list....but off the top....Air Force Academy FAMCamp is tops on our list.
What do you do for work that allows you to pay for that rig plus travel full time
I am retired military and saved to pay off the RV early. You can learn about us and the RV here: todayissomeday.net/faqs
You guys rock! You guys have great videos👍🇺🇲. I love our military
Question: does the last park (the Bonus one) allow e-bikes? I know y'all have them and was just wondering.
LOVE your channel!!!
Yes it does!
I’m an Air Force Veteran. Do you know what the VA vetting process is?
No. We haven't had to go through the process.
Do the COE sites have electricity?
Yes. Some sites may not depending how close they are to the body of water the COE is attached too.
We can't wait for our visit in September!!
Did I hear you say your bucket list creation software was linked somewhere? If so, I don’t see it. If not, that’s why.
We have bucket list on our website, todayissomeday.net.
Good food mr. RV Camp. Sport. Beautifuly lands. #Bagibijak gabung

Does my fifth wheel need to be less than 10 yrs old to camp at state parks across the USA? We are retiring and want to go explore the states, but not live in an RV park. We want to move sites and see different areas. Thanks!
We have not experienced anything like that at State Parks. There are some campgrounds across the country that do have a 10 year age rule.
@@todayissomeday thanks!
Where can I find your printed list? On your website?? Loved Colorado Springs!!! I’m a DoD Employee, so I stay at military parks & I have a Access pass. Want to explore Boston/Plymouth Rock area you mentioned. Thanks !!!
