I really enjoy your verbal cues that give me imagery to visualize. "Mixing the heaven energy with the dense earth energy." Helped me really feel the energy and direct it. I want to get better at giving those verbal cues myself 😁
With gratitude for your talent as a Qigong teacher and for your generosity sharing all these magical practices. Dan Tian Gong Part 2 is one of my favorites!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I noticed, and only because I am currently experiencing stress hives (!!!) and am battling restless nights and extreme itching all over, that we don't talk about skin health in this way very often. The skin is our largest organ and geez how important it is! I vote for a skin exclusive Qigong practice! :) However, this gem right here may have just cured me! Thank you again for all you do!
Yes. I've been looking for more nuanced qigong practices on YT that allow me to sink in to a meditative state and this was it. Thank you for your offering to the world, and to me in my corner of it. 🌎🌍🌏
Nick THANK YOU for another wonderful calming yet energising session , made even more so from the 'calming location', of the hot water and river and your calming voice.
nice thing is that if you combine the energetic exercises from this part 2 and then also part 3, you get the macrocosmic orbit (greater circulation, trough all the meridians of the whole body)
Beautiful start to the day-magical practice, Thank you so much Nick. Your gentle reminders throughout are wonderful...Scenery adds further divine aspect to the total experience🌿
Hi Nick --- what a wonderful video. Scenery is rather special. I hope you all went into the hotspring when filming was over ! I always feel terrific after doing qigong. Never had pain afterwards although some of the movements are challenging and I feel it while in progress. But, I am making progress and for this and your generous sharing of your gifts, I thank you so very much. You make a difference in many lives. I will do this session, and the others in the set, many times. Carry on !
Really really enjoyed this so much Nick, thank you. Good to be grounded again. I Am hopefully going to get connected for my course. Will try again tonight now I’m home and grounded after a deep Aya journey. 🙏
Hi Nick, I have tried several practices (yoga, medication) but I always return to Qi Gong and I have enjoyed your practices the most. I have been dealing with anxiety for several years now and I monitor my heart rate during all exercises including Qi Gong. I am pleased to say that my heart rate was the lowest it has been in years during this routine! It could also be due to the best night's sleep I've had in quite a while, lol. I hope to carry the calm in my brain and in my body for the remainder of my day. Thank you for all that you do!🧘♀
Beautiful flow to part 2. Taking time to get my own rhythm, build endurance, and stay present with breath & movement, but enjoying the process. I notice that my fingers get cold, like there's no circulation or chi flowing to them about 20 min in. I'll shake out my hands or rub them together to help. Any suggestions or insights?
Hi Nick, I love your swimming dragon routines and I was wondering if you could make one that focuses on the narrow stance where we bring the hands in Anjali mudra or prayer and sweep it across the body. The one that starts from the shoulder and through the plexuses and back up to the shoulder and reaches over the head.
Hi Nick. I just found you a few weeks ago and I'm so happy I did. Great videos, well explained, and paced; thank you so much. Just wondering, I have a very active job and do a lot of long distance cycling. What kind of routine do you suggest for physical stress and anxiety instead of mental stress? Or is it the same? Thanks so much!!
Hi Nick - around 23.30, when we are spiraling "clockwise," we're NOT mirroring you, right? It's clockwise as if we are looking at ourselves? (ie, the "3" of the clock is on the left, the 9 to the right? ). Thanks!
Nick, I enjoy your videos but I don’t do them often. Why? Often, the next day, I feel discomforts somewhere in my body. It scares me and I end up not wanting to try again. The last time I did Qi-Gong, I woke up the next day with a sore breast. With a pen, I outline the redness. I saw my doctor three days later. My pen mark indicated that the redness was receding a bit. I remember hearing a Qi-Gong teacher warning us to not go to the doctor after experiencing health symptoms after doing Qi-Gong. She knew that they would prescribed medication. I did not listen to this teacher. And even though I pointed to my doctor that since some of the redness was gone, could I wait before taking her prescribed medication, she firmly said no, that this could be cancer. It was not. Any advice to help ease my fears of going back to a practice that I do enjoy?
What your experiencing is normal. When the body gets more energy to heal, it will start detoxing and there may be discomfort, soreness (from moving muscles and fascia that we aren't used to moving). It will pass. You wouldn't believe the stuff that has happened to me LOL but I was aware this could happen so I just kept going and drinking lots of water etc. It all got better and I now feel better than I ever have in my life. We are taught that we need to get rid of any discomfort with a pill etc. This is not what we should do. Those only treat symptoms anyways. The body has a healing process and that stuff can get in the way. Soo keep going, don't be fearful, just relax into the process, it will pass :)
ua-cam.com/video/Pdhupp0MJcg/v-deo.html I have a study suggestion for you, asking to practice one hour after meals and not at noon. If you are a lady, please do not practice during the female physiological period, 2. The reason why you cannot practice at noon is that the yang energy is too strong at noon. It is best to practice in the early morning, because, I can not fully express in English, some words may not be expressed clearly。 If you don't understand, I'll do my best to answer.
Recitation, understanding, this is the foundation I say Dao: some pure and some cloudy (turbid), some active and some calm; ;heaven is pure and earth is cloudy (turbid), heaven is active and earth is calm; yang is pure and yin is turbid, yang is active and yin is calm. It creates the principle, sets the appearance, and gives birth to myriad of objects. Purity derives from the source of turbidness, active is the base of calmness. If one can often be in the state of purity and calmness, all Chi from heaven and earth will retain inside his real nature. The spirit of man wants to be pure, but the heart disturbs it; the heart of man wants to be calm, but desire pulls it. If one can continuously eliminating his desire, the heart will be calm by itself; to settle his heart, the spirit will become pure by itself; naturally sight, sound, smell, taste, touch, and feel, these six senses of desire will not arise, thus greed, andger, and infatuation, these spiritual poisons will vanish. For ones not able to reach this state, is because their heart are not settled, and desires not yet eliminated. For ones able to eliminate desires, when look into their hearts, there is no thought to arise;when they see objects, there is not shape to describe; when they view faraway environment, there is nothing to see; since these three exist no more, only true self to be seen. If one sees emptiness without the thought of such emptiness, will take such emptiness to its extreme; if extreme emptiness exist no more, the effort to take emptiness to extreme does not exist also;; since such effort exist no more, the heart will always stay very quiet; if one takes quietness to its extreme, then how can desire to be arise? ;whence desire would not arise, it reaches the state of real calmenss. Eternal truth copes with true value, eternal truth obtains virtuosity, often coping and often be calm, will often be in the state of purity and calmness. With such state of purtiy and calmness, one will gradually obtain deeper true Dao; ;since one has entered true Dao, can say one has achieved the realm of Dao. ; Although it seemed the realm of Dao has been achieved, actually nothing has gained; ;only for people concentrate in saving all souls, can say one has achieved the true realm of Dao; for ones that underrstand this principle, can preach such sacred Dao.(道) Great respectable old master Lao-Zi said: high virtuous people have nothing to fight for, but low virtuous people like to fight; virtuous people do not care much about their virtuous actions, only low virtuous people care about their virtuous actions; ,the ones that persist in their virtuosity do not understand the true meaning of Dao. The reason for ones unable to reach the realm of true Dao, is because they have false fantasies; with such false fantasies, the soul will be disturbed; with disturbed soul, one only have worldy objects in mind;, with thoughts on worldly objects, greed arise; with greed arise, there comes vexation; vexation and false fantasies agonize body and soul, thus will be degraded and aggrieved; ,wondering within the reincarnation cyle of birth and death, always floating on the ocean of bitterness, forever apart from the realm of true Dao. Etrnal truth is the principle of Dao, the enlightened ones will eventually achieve it, the enlightened ones that have achieve the realm of Dao,often in the state of purity and calmness

Thank you. That was wonderful. Can I ask, is the dragon movement the same as cloudy hands?
Thanks! No that is a different exercise:)
