I was in the audience that night Ernie Isley and the band were incredible Elektra Records did not know what to do with this Project band even then it spoke volumes about the Business One of the Isley Brothers couldn't get VB the Support that the so deserved

And the first song Elektra released as a single (the title track, 'High Wire') was, at least for me, the weakest track on the record. It's a tragedy that this was his only solo record...

what an ignored and unique artist...this was an amazing record...ernie dedicated the record to emily dickinson. I'm a lousy guitarist, but I played and recorded a lot in the 80's and so very often, I was channeling ernie...he got me through a lot.

His solo album was really great !! Not sure if it sold much. Shame there aren't any interviews filmed with him. He must have a great story to tell.
