I have the multi scale 7 string Omen Elite in Charcoal. The top natural wood is insanely looking so much bang for the buck. Comes with a Hipshot bridge so I only swapped the tuners. Love it!
Yeah dude! I bet the multiscale is sweet! I really do like the charcoal finish a lot too. And a Hipshot? That’s awesome! Sick guitar man, I’m glad you’re loving it and thanks for watching too 🤘
This is one of the better reviews I've watched of any guitar. The pros and cons were noteworthy, and not just singing praises or hating on. Definitely looking forward to watching more of your opinions on stuff
You got my sub for this video. It’s the only good omen elite review out there and I am now confident this is the one I want (in 6 strings). You’re awesome!
My bass player just picked up the Omen Elite 7 in red. Hesding to his place tomorrow to see how she plays/sounds, will be running her thru the Gojira plugin, which I've already used with my Ibanez RGT and ABSOLUTELY love. My bassist says she's playing great right out of the box. I can't argue with Schecter's ability to make great guitars at a great price point. Awesome man! And for sure, it'll sound siiiiick through Gojira. I love that plugin too. Thanks for checking out the video man and I hope you enjoy jamming on the Omen 🤘
I'm in the market for a good left-handed 7 string in this budget range, and this one is about as close to what I want as the budget will take me (no trem, but I haven't seen any decent 7 string lefties with a trem for less than $1000...). The local guitar shops don't have any to demo, so you've helped me make up my mind!
Cool to hear your opinion. Got a hold of my Cherry red model with an EVH 5150 combo. I've been enjoying the tone so far. Pretty happy, considering this is my way back in after putting guitars down for almost a decade.
Ah that’s awesome man! Congratulations on getting back into it. I’m stoked you’re having a good time. Thanks so much for watching and commenting mate 🤘
Great review man. One year after release, I'm sitting here about to pull the trigger on my second schecter omen but with 7 strings, and I am convinced that it is the right move. Can't afford a 4000 dollar guitar like I played at the shop but this should do just fine.

amazing review honestly, not a seven string but I got myself the omen elite 6 FR also in blue and it plays amazingly I love it sm. Great vid I had to subscribe ❤❤
Fantastic review man. Thanks for that. I'm eyeing up this guitar right now. For 550 it comes with the Floyd rose. And if I don't like the tuners, I can easily change those out down the road.
No problem at all man, thanks for watching and I hope it helped! I can tell you, the 6 string floyd version is killer. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it mate if you pick one up 🤘
@JackTaylorGuitars bought myself an omen 7! Really like it but it's got a bunk volume pot so I have to send it back 😞 hopefully the replacement will be perfect!
Great review brother !!! My left handed Omen elite 7 was delivered yesterday and I can't put it down . I prefer a slightly lower string action but set up the way it came it still plays incredibly fast and I too am super impressed by the stock HERETIC pickups !! I've already ordered a great quality set of locking tuners to help with the excess backlash that the stock ones possess . The guitar is light and plays better than my Banshee elite 7 . That guitar fatigues my arms and it's heavy as well . I'm so impressed with this guitar !!! Thanks again for the killer review brother 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Just bought this thing thanks to your review . Would you mind linking me or telling me which brand of tuners you’d recommend I’d buy? Would help a beginner a lot
That’s awesome dude, I’m glad my video helped! Sure thing, I bought Gotoh SG381 locking tuners but, if I remember right, I had to buy 6 for 3 a side then an extra left handed tuner to fit the bottom side. I hope that helps mate and enjoy the guitar! 🤘
@@JackTaylorGuitarsthank you very much! I just dropped a sub. Last thing, could you tell me what type string/ gauge you rock nowadays on this beast with recommended tuning? 🔥
No worries man, thanks for checking it out! I’m glad it was helpful. The Blood Moon does look incredibly sick but I’ve never tried one so I couldn’t give you any pointers I’m afraid. Hope you enjoy whichever you get though 🤘
Hi buddy, my first time viewing your channel & I'm impressed with your completely open & honest review. I bought a charcoal 6 string elite fr (with the Floyd Rose) recently as I needed a thicker toned guitar for my rock music. I don't have too many issues with the tuners as it has the locking system & mainly only need the fine tuners to tweak the tuning after a mad dive bombing session! It came set up great & even in tune! It looks fantastic & sounds amazing & I don't know how Schecter can produce such incredible quality & gorgeous finishes for the money. Even their high end stuff is cheap compared to the competition. Keep up the great work & I've already subscribed & will be spreading the word to my many musician friends & colleagues.
Mate, thank you so much. Your comment made my day 🤘 I am completely with you on that, Schecter are doing some awesome stuff. I actually just got the exact the 6 string FR and it’s brilliant, though mine isn’t quite perfect. Definitely a one off but I’ll explain in a video soon. Thanks again, I’m really glad to have you around 👊
I was so impressed by the elite that when I saw a blue 2006 omen 6 with the hard tail for £125 on Reverb, I snatched it up. It's taken a few knocks in its time but it plays & sounds great.
I just picked up the Extreme 6 of this line for $400 in magenta and couldn't be happier. Plays just as good if not better than my last guitar that was $800.
Great review! I just tried this model out at PMT Manchester after going in to look at Jackson and Ibanez 7’s. Felt great right from the off, I did notice the tuners were poor so I’d probably replace with some quality locking tuners. Everything else was spot on. I then tried a Jackson (to be fair it was a £300 Dinky so not in the same price range) but only managed 2 minutes on it before going back to the Schecter. The pickups seem great and much higher output than the Jackson’s. Looks awesome in red too. I’ll definitely be buying myself one for Christmas 😅😅
Hey m8 great video man, I’m pumped to get one myself was curious about 7 strings always been a 6 string man was just lookin for an honest review of this guitar I appreciate it. Went and ordered the charcoal version right after the video 😂
Dude, I’m just glad I could help in some way. I really appreciate you checking out the video mate 🤘 7 is so much fun, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Thanks my dude!
I installed Gotoh magnum locking tuners with Pearloid buttons. Looks great. I also contact Schecter, and they told me that Hipshot bridges won't fit, as they have a different footprint. Bummer. Still love this guitar, though. Absolutely no need to swap pickups!
Yeah man, the Gotoh's are what I went with too but it's a shame about the genuine hipshot not fitting! Glad you still love it though and thanks for checking out the video dude 🤘
Cool video brother..I have yet to play a 7 string guitar.. maybe next time I get to the music store I'll check one out..I've never even looked into the concept of where to start w one.. 😂... hope life is good for you man...I've been back to work for a month now and as much as it's kicking my ass it feels great and getting a little better every week...be safe man🤘😁🎸🎶
My dude! Thanks for watching man, appreciate you as always. They’re a lot of mate, I really enjoy them. Don’t know if they’d replace a 6 for me but it’s nice to have one! I’m glad you’re well mate, sounds like you’re doing good! Stoked about that! I’m doing well mate, getting ready for the baby to be here and staying busy. Thanks my dude, look after yourself 🤘😁
One good way to get used to a 7 is to just play things you already know on them and ignore the bottom B until you get used to maneuvering around it then you can start implanting it. Of course have fun and make 7th string go brrrrrrrr
I purchased one of these in June after seeing this video, and I'm not sure if it was a QA issue at Schecter or whatever, but mine is a nightmare (I want to stress none of this is the video's fault!). Right out of the box the setup was ridiculous, with a visible back-bow on the neck (even with the strings installed) and close to a 2.5mm string height at the 12th fret. I fixed those issues to discover the pickups were terrible: The bridge pickup sounded like it was playing through a tin-can and the neck pickup was twice as loud as the bridge pickup and we'd need a step above "muddy" to describe its tone, which made any switch positions with the neck pickup active pointless since it drowned out the bridge pickup. I had intended from the start to install a Seymour Sentinel/Pegasus pickup set in it anyway, and discovered almost immediately the tone/volume knob pots were faulty (before even touching the soldering iron). Fast forward a few months to today after both pickups swapped, both knobs replaced, and a 3-way switch to replace the 5-way switch, the tone issues are mostly gone but I'm now faced with a constant tuning stability issue (likely caused by the painfully obvious and unnatural angles the strings have past the nut) and every so often the action will suddenly be 0.5mm higher on all 7 strings. With all of this, it took my friends almost no time to start calling it "Damien"...the character from the Omen series of films. 😥 I have a hard time believing my guitar is the norm for this model, especially since yours doesn't seem to show any of the problems mine has. I do think this is a fantastic review video and went over everything I could have hoped for, I only wish I could say the same for the guitar. It is the first 7-string I've had and I should have listened to my gut in the "you get what you pay for" aspect because I still, to this day, see the other guitars I was considering and wonder "What if...?" Again, I want to make it clear that even though my guitar will hopefully be sold in the coming months this is one of the best gear reviews I've seen on youtube and I genuinely plan on coming back to your channel for whatever I may be looking to purchase.
My dude, that sucks so bad. I'm really sorry you've ended up with such a dud. I think you're right in saying it's not the norm but I've definitely heard from more people than I'd like to that they've had issues with Schecter across the whole range since making this video. It does make you think but it's really hard to judge the actual situation based on what you hear, I guess. Though I am glad you found the review useful mate, that means a huge amount to me. I'm stoked to have you around 🙇🏻♂️
I couldn't say from a players perspective dude cause I'm never tried the Devil FR but I will say, on a looks perspective, I'm not really a fan of the devil. Specs wise, I guess it totally depends what you're looking for but I do prefer these pickups to the duncan designed stuff. Thanks mate 🤘
I really liked your review man, good job🤘🏻I have a schecter reaper ms 7 multi scale and I just got the same exact omen you have except it’s the multi scale version, same finish and all. The action on mine was also a bit high for my taste as well. So i lowered it and i struggled with the intonation as well as issues like fret buzz and that was just from lowering the action a little bit. I have it about as good as it’s gonna get(which isn’t bad but my reaper has perfect action.) I do see exactly what you mean about the tuners being shit though lol.
Great review! I was looking to sell my demon 7 to get back to passive pickups picking one of these up, while also having more modern looks. Do you think it could be worth it or, being a really solid axe, would sticking to the demon 7 be a better choice?
Thanks mate, I’m glad you enjoyed it! If the pickups are important to you but you want to stay with Schecter I think this is a great option. If you can play an Omen Elite before you make a decision you should definitely try to. I’d hate for you to make a decision on my suggestion and not vibe with it! Hope that helps dude 🤘
@@JackTaylorGuitars thanks! Yeah, they should have the same neck shape so I should feel comfortable, plus the smaller footprint of the neck heel is a great selling point! And it just looks amazing vs the plain satin black of the demon (looks super cool but just doesn't scratch the itch for me ahaha)
I wouldn’t say a huge difference but, personally, I’d probably go multi scale in hindsight for the slightly better string tensions. Hope that helps and thanks for watching! 🤘
@@JackTaylorGuitars not at all. It's just weird cause it's hard to get it just right. It's either a little too high or low. Good luck on your Channel and happy holidays.
Yeah man, those are the things I’d do. In fact, I’ve done the tuners on mine but don’t really need to do the bridge just yet. I’ve put Gotohs on mine but the Hipshot stuff is great too. Thanks for watching mate I appreciate it 🤘
I'm looking to buy this as my first 7 string, I have a boss katana 50 MKII and currently have no tone pedals, do you think this will still sound good with that setup or would I need a little something more
I've been looking for a 7string guitar and stumbled upon your video. If you don't mind I have a question for you. How's Omen Elite different from Damien and Demon?
Hey dude! So, aside from the looks of the guitar, it's just a hardware thing. Pickup differences but mainly the bridge. I think the Omen Elite basically fits in as a step forward to modernise the affordable lineup from what I can tell. I prefer the Omen Elite to the Damien and Demon, personally. Hope that helps mate and thank you for checking out the video! 🤘
I think that's a personal taste thing man. I prefer a full humbucker for heavy rhythm and splits for less driven parts. The guitar sounded good though in all positions.
Great Video, new Sub right here. 👋 Sounds like you get a pretty good bang for your buck with these Guitars. Most Decent Guitars start at over $1000 now days so having something that looks Cool, stays in tune and sounds good for that money brand new is pretty cool for players. I just got a Schecter Banshee Mach 7 FR-S and it's truly the nicest feeling Guitar I've ever had but man it was pricy.
That’s super kind of you bro, thank you! 🤘 They’re honestly awesome. I totally agree about a grand is the sweet spot I think for guitars but this is definitely punching above it’s weight for sure. Those Mach 7’s are stunning man. Never played one but I’d love to. Thanks again!
Just got my hand on one of these in red and I feel it is the best choice in the price range. Definitely beats most budget Ibanez 7s. I put it right up there with PRS SE SVN. Good value out of the box. I would just change the tuners straight away and give it a good setup with fresh strings. I like NYXL 9-64 for 26.5in scale.
@@JackTaylorGuitars I think another worthwhile guitar in this price range is the Schecter Damien Platinum 7 or just the c7 Platinum. But I am definitely a sucker for the fan fret because the way that it's set up.
So, I went with Gotoh SG381 Locking Tuners for mine dude, had to get a 3-a-side set and one more left handed tuner for the side of the headstock with four. If you see something else you want to use check the post length and diameter against those dude, should be good to go 👍
@@JackTaylorGuitars It happens! Also feel free to check out some of my music on my channel! I recommend Why Can't I Breathe or All For Nothing or Afterthought for something a little heavier. Share the love 🖤
These guitars are cool as hell when you come across a good one. I played one in Guitar Center and damn near wanted to walk out with it. A couple months later I played it again but at a local shop and it was literally the worst playing guitar I've ever played in my life. Just wanted to throw that out there, it seems like it's a bit of a gamble.
Appreciate you raising that point my dude! It’s definitely interesting that there might be a bit of a consistency issue in the quality. Great bit of info! Cheers for watching too man 🤘
Mainly aesthetics and hardware dude! For me, the biggest difference other than that is how the neck feels. I much prefer the Omen Elite, personally. Hope that helps man 🤘
I cannot for the life of me find a bridge to use as a replacement on this one, I want to buy this guitar as a mod guitar and upgrade every piece of hardware on it
I actually never got round to it either dude so I don't have any suggestions. I was going to look into a legit hipshot unit but I dunno. Hopefully someone can give you some pointers. Thanks for watching mate! 🤘
@@JackTaylorGuitars Im gonna get it and replace as much as I can, was thinking the charcoal would go hard with gold hardware. Going with dimarzio pickups ✌✌✌
Hopefully someone can give you the answer dude. I never used anything other than 59 but I remember it having a little more room to play with. Thanks for watching mate 🤘
No worries dude, happy to help where I can! So it was pretty good, stable once it got there, and tension was decent. I typically prefer a little tighter of a string so I did consider bumping up the gauge but never got round to it.
Gotta keep you engaged somehow mate! 😂 Nah, I'm sorry. I'm still very much a noob at editing and just missed it. Clean tones man, sounds pretty damn good! Definitely not what I personally use it for but you absolutely get a great clean out of it.
Had 2, now 1 of them (in charcoal) and very happy, I pick mine in charcoal in a hot offer, so, better than great. Tuners are ok to me, but I'm thinking about locking ones, and I can't find any ones from shecter to buy apart, let's see what i'll do.
Glad you like them man! You can get Gotoh locking tuners that are a drop on replacement, I ended up with a set for mine but you have to buy a 6 pack and one extra 👍 Thanks for watching dude 🤘
@@JackTaylorGuitars I ended up buying a Guyker ones. Seems a joke, but they're great. They're Gotoh? Nah, but pretty solid and far better than stock ones, with locking for a few money, so, great. One year after, still loving the Elite.
@@JackTaylorGuitars Full disclosure, I jumped pretty bad lol. I am curious if you know of whether or not it is a huge difference on the 8 with the pickup response. I have the Syn custom S in black and gold and a majesty 7 string with DiMarzio pickups. I am wanting to get a guitar that has passive rather than active output. Would you care to weigh in on whether or not it would be worth going for an 8 string model?
I bought a Schechter and the set up from factory was awesome. I didnt change anything while i spent $100's on my washburn setup. Dont get me wrong, the washburn is the best thing ive played now, but the schecter kills for a cheap guitar.
I wish I could give you an answer dude but I don’t have any recent experience with the Demon other than a Demon FR I had 16 years ago. Get whichever one you like best man 👍
i own this guitar and it is so damn good for the price. i didnt have the issue with the tuners on mine but i had some set up issues. aside that the guitar feels amazing and sounds great. if u wanna hear it i have some videos on my page.
Glad you like it man! I’ve got to agree, it’s a beast for the price. Really impressive what they’ve done. Happy to hear your tuners are good. I figured I might have just ended up with a dud set because they’re really bad, but it’s hardly a reason to complain about the entire thing. I’ll check out your videos mate. Really appreciate you watching and commenting 🤘
Quity stinky that those price ranges had the stainless steel frets and locking tuners removed in this current artificial inflation climate. Especially since Schecters aren't bang for buck here in Germany to begin with, thanks to import costs. I don't even try guitars without stainless steel anymore and rather buy some Harley Benton instead. I don't support greed and how companies reduce the quality but raise prices by 30%
I have the 8 string version. It's definitely not elite. But, decent bang for the buck, especially with prices being so high on everything nowadays. Fret ends had a wee bit of sharpness but not enough to bleed. pickups are a little shrill, but if you have something to EQ them before the amp/modeler you can balance them out a bit. It's absolutely usable. You can tell it's cheaply made, but a solid effort for a cheap guitar.
Thanks for checking out the video man! Yeah dude, for the price these are killer. I didn’t think there was anything about my 7 that really made it feel cheap in anyway, it felt like a very good quality thing for the cost but not all guitars are made equal I guess! Cheers man 🤘
Thanks for the cool words bro, I really appreciate it! I like to think I've gotten better at the whole video production thing since this one dude but it's all a learning experience for me. I still don't feel like I know what I'm doing 😂 Cheers for watching mate 🤘
Thanks mate, I’m glad you like the videos. I hope I’ve gotten a little better at it since this video went up but I’m still learning what works best. Appreciate the feedback dude 🤘
I just received mine and I am completely disappointed in this guitar. Can’t seem to get the intonation right, always fighting with the tuners since it’s always going out of tune, pickups are complete garbage as well. The omen 7 is used to have was a way better guitar than this. Will be taking it back shortly.
😂 I think it is slightly out of whack on this one mate yeah. Doesn't help that my voiceover is crazy compressed. I'm still learning but I knew very little when I made this video haha I appreciate the heads up though mate, thank you!
THIS is how reviews should be. Concise, hitting all the important points. Keep it up man, beautiful guitar as well!

Treat yourself mate! 🤣 In all honesty, they're loads of fun. And that's awesome of you to say dude, thank you. It means a lot that you enjoy them 🤘
Jack you're a likable guy and you review two of the guitars I'm interested in buying so you got a new subscriber.
I really appreciate that my dude, thank you so much. Stoked to have you around 🤘
Thanks so much bro, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! Stoked you like the guitar too. Hope you have a blast with it 🤘
Just discovered you! You're killing it buddy and sweet guitar!
That means a ton to me dude, thank you! I’m just glad you enjoyed the video mate 🤘
I appreciate it man, thank you! I was using d'addario 10-59 on this dude.

Thanks, very genuine and informative! Considering the C8 Blood Moon (Silver Mountain line) or this for half the price.
That’s awesome man! Sometimes the ones that need a bit of love are the best 🤘
I just picked up the Extreme 6 of this line for $400 in magenta and couldn't be happier. Plays just as good if not better than my last guitar that was $800.
That's awesome man, congrats on the new guitar! Thanks for watching man 🤘
This is the first seven string I’ve owned and I love it the neck took me a bit to get used to but i love it now. Kick ass guitar 🤘🤘
Stoked you like it mate! Thanks for watching the video 🤘
Thanks so much mate, I’m stoked you enjoyed it! I hope you manage to snag one of your own dude 🤘
The pickups on these guitars are great. They grab everything you do.
I like 'em a lot too dude, they sound great! Thanks for checking out the video mate 🤘
Keep bringing them on, Jack! We like to listen to your nons... words! :D
Someone's got to enjoy listen to my nonsense I suppose bro 😂 Thanks mate 🤘
I installed Gotoh magnum locking tuners with Pearloid buttons. Looks great. I also contact Schecter, and they told me that Hipshot bridges won't fit, as they have a different footprint. Bummer. Still love this guitar, though. Absolutely no need to swap pickups!
Yeah man, the Gotoh's are what I went with too but it's a shame about the genuine hipshot not fitting! Glad you still love it though and thanks for checking out the video dude 🤘
@@JackTaylorGuitarsDid you install the Gotoh 510-FX 7 Bridge and is it a direct fit?
The Stevie T joke was too real and got me to sub :)
I couldn't remember what I actually said so I had to watch it back 😂 Thanks mate, I'm happy to have you here! 🤘
I have the red one .. great guitar and great value for money. Metal goodness
The red ones are niiice dude! Like them a lot. Thanks for watching and commenting man. Have a good one 🤘
Hey man... I appreciate YOU!
No man, I appreciate you MORE! 🙇🏻♂️
I have a hard time believing my guitar is the norm for this model, especially since yours doesn't seem to show any of the problems mine has.
Hi. in your opinion is it better than a Devil 7 FR??
I couldn't say from a players perspective dude cause I'm never tried the Devil FR but I will say, on a looks perspective, I'm not really a fan of the devil. Specs wise, I guess it totally depends what you're looking for but I do prefer these pickups to the duncan designed stuff. Thanks mate 🤘
I have the burl one I absolutely love it
That's awesome man, glad you're stoked on it! Thanks for watching 🤘
You're not an idiot! You're a great salesaman 😁
😂 I appreciate that mate. If only I was on commission eh? Haha Thanks for watching dude 🤘
Thank you my dude, I'm glad you liked the video! These things are definitely good but there's plenty of room for improvement. Cheers dude 🤘
Yeah dude, I think you’re totally right. And I do think the Elite looks incredibly nice! Let me know if you check one out dude 🤘
Do you think there’s a big difference between the elite 7 and the elite 7 multiscale?
I wouldn’t say a huge difference but, personally, I’d probably go multi scale in hindsight for the slightly better string tensions. Hope that helps and thanks for watching! 🤘
@@JackTaylorGuitars thank you very much for the quick reply. That was very helpful.
No problem at all!
My 8 string omen tuners are the same way.
It takes a minute to get it tuned but it holds tune great.
Yeah man that’s exactly what I experienced too! Once it’s there it’s there but getting to that point is a chore. Not a huge problem though right? 🤘
@@JackTaylorGuitars not at all.
It's just weird cause it's hard to get it just right. It's either a little too high or low.
Good luck on your Channel and happy holidays.
Thanks you my dude! Happy holidays to you, hope you have a great one 🤙
So basically, smashing guitar but upgrade the tuners, and possibly the bridge? Any recommendations for tuners?
Yeah man, those are the things I’d do. In fact, I’ve done the tuners on mine but don’t really need to do the bridge just yet. I’ve put Gotohs on mine but the Hipshot stuff is great too. Thanks for watching mate I appreciate it 🤘
@@JackTaylorGuitars No worries bro I’m hoping to buy one in the next couple months so wanted to make sure it was legit haha
That makes sense dude! A good set of tuners will help it massively. Hope you enjoy the guitar bro 🤘
@@JackTaylorGuitars Bought the guitar a week/2 back, bloody amazing axe ngl
I'm looking to buy this as my first 7 string, I have a boss katana 50 MKII and currently have no tone pedals, do you think this will still sound good with that setup or would I need a little something more
Yeah man 100%. You'll be able to dial the Katana to sound quality with this, pedals are just an extra. Thanks for watching mate 🤘
Thanks for the reply mate! Will definitely check this one out.
You’re totally welcome bro!
What pickup positions does it have in its 5 way switch?
As far as I know dude it's the standard bridge > bridge split > middle > neck split > neck. Thanks for watching mate! 🤘
@@JackTaylorGuitars Is it good to use bridge split instead of full bridge for heavy rhythm?
I think that's a personal taste thing man. I prefer a full humbucker for heavy rhythm and splits for less driven parts. The guitar sounded good though in all positions.
I'm not a 7 string player, but I love that color guitar!
It’s an absolute stunner isn’t it! They do make a six… just saying 😏 Thanks for checking out the video dude 🤘
They’re honestly awesome. I totally agree about a grand is the sweet spot I think for guitars but this is definitely punching above it’s weight for sure.
Those Mach 7’s are stunning man. Never played one but I’d love to. Thanks again!
Well this review settles it. It is currently in an online cart awaiting the funds to purchase it. Thank you
Thanks for watching dude! I’m just glad the video helped and hope you love the guitar when you get your hands on it 🤘
Shecters are nice now man. I went with the hellraiser c7 but I would’ve been happy with this.
I completely agree! They’re making some awesome stuff. Thanks for watching too, I appreciate it 🤘
Just got my hand on one of these in red and I feel it is the best choice in the price range. Definitely beats most budget Ibanez 7s. I put it right up there with PRS SE SVN. Good value out of the box. I would just change the tuners straight away and give it a good setup with fresh strings. I like NYXL 9-64 for 26.5in scale.
Glad you're loving the guitar dude! Thanks for checking out the video 🤘
@@JackTaylorGuitars Great stuff man, enjoyed it. Keep it up!
Thank you my dude 🙇🏻♂️
I think Schecter makes some of the best budget friendly guitars. She's a beauty 😍
I would absolutely agree with you there mate! Thanks man, appreciate the comment and you checking out the video 🤘
@@JackTaylorGuitars I think another worthwhile guitar in this price range is the Schecter Damien Platinum 7 or just the c7 Platinum. But I am definitely a sucker for the fan fret because the way that it's set up.
what tuners would you suggest replacing these with? i've never done anything like that. will just about anything do or do i need a certain size/type?
So, I went with Gotoh SG381 Locking Tuners for mine dude, had to get a 3-a-side set and one more left handed tuner for the side of the headstock with four. If you see something else you want to use check the post length and diameter against those dude, should be good to go 👍
Not sure if you heard the sound fall out right when you started your song?
Cheers dude. Realised about a week after uploading mate. Call it a rookie error 😂

I have the C8 and its great but they chiseled away at the neck and body to make them fit together
Chiselled good or chiselled bad dude? 😬 Thanks for checking out the video mate!

Sorry! I’ve never weighed it. Maybe about 10-12lbs, something like that? Cheers 🤘
I have an older schecter and its a great guitar and solid as fuck. Nice review mate...😁
You’re right man. From my experience too they’ve always been really solid guitars. Appreciate you watching mate, thank you 🤘
Anyone know what the difference between this and the demon 7, ?
Which would be better ?
Dude yeah charcoal and gold will look absolutely stunning! Enjoy it bro and if you post pictures of it anywhere let me know 🤘
does anybody know which is the maximum string gauge that fits the lowest tuning post please ?
Hopefully someone can give you the answer dude. I never used anything other than 59 but I remember it having a little more room to play with. Thanks for watching mate 🤘
@@JackTaylorGuitars thanks for your answer and the vidéo 💪 btw how is tuned your 59 ?
No worries dude, happy to help where I can! So it was pretty good, stable once it got there, and tension was decent. I typically prefer a little tighter of a string so I did consider bumping up the gauge but never got round to it.

Thanks for killing my ears with the volume jump in your demo 😂 serious question: how do the pickups handle clean tones?
You couldn’t have put a headphone users warning at 10:14?! 😅😅
Mate, it’s more that I messed up the audio at the beginning of the demo like an idiot 😂 Sorry about that 😬
@@JackTaylorGuitars Full disclosure, I jumped pretty bad lol.
Yeah man they’re doing a great job! Thanks for checking out the video dude 🤘
This one or the Demon 7 and why? I play metal.
I wish I could give you an answer dude but I don’t have any recent experience with the Demon other than a Demon FR I had 16 years ago. Get whichever one you like best man 👍

Hi uncle Jack!
😁 I thought it was you! Hiya! Hope you’re all well?
Yes I'm good are you? 🙂
I don't support greed and how companies reduce the quality but raise prices by 30%
That makes a lot of sense mate. Thanks for checking out the video too, I appreciate it 🤘
looks good on pic, but way too glossy on video
Thanks for watching and for the comment dude, I appreciate it 🤘
I have the 8 string version.
Cheers man 🤘
You seem to be a very cool person and I appreciate the effort. But the lighting killed your review. I just can't see the product...
Thanks for the cool words bro, I really appreciate it! I like to think I've gotten better at the whole video production thing since this one dude but it's all a learning experience for me. I still don't feel like I know what I'm doing 😂 Cheers for watching mate 🤘

Just a mistake in editing dude, don’t panic! 😂
@@JackTaylorGuitars lol im sorry it scared me

Thanks mate, I’m glad you like the videos. I hope I’ve gotten a little better at it since this video went up but I’m still learning what works best. Appreciate the feedback dude 🤘
I just received mine and I am completely disappointed in this guitar. Can’t seem to get the intonation right, always fighting with the tuners since it’s always going out of tune, pickups are complete garbage as well. The omen 7 is used to have was a way better guitar than this. Will be taking it back shortly.
That’s a shame dude! The tuners aren’t good at all so I can totally understand that aspect of it and the intonation. Weird about the pickups though!
this review is NSFW
Why’s that bro? 😂
Your audio is slightly out of sync mate (or you have strangely decided to overdub your own video)
😂 I think it is slightly out of whack on this one mate yeah. Doesn't help that my voiceover is crazy compressed. I'm still learning but I knew very little when I made this video haha I appreciate the heads up though mate, thank you!
