      @@punkrockmartian mounting the pickups straight (even strandberg did this... fun with muddy low strings and piercing top strings), setting the perpendicular fret in a stupid location (so many put it on the 12th, which is just akward on the lower frets. anything between 7 and 10 is fine), cutting off the fretboard straight after the nut and leaving that little pointless triangle that looks idiotic. matter of taste that one, but i can't imagine anyone telling me that the way it's done on this schecter doesn't look better than what's on the RGMS7 for example. also i'd much rather have this bridge than the ABM single saddle individual bridges, those are fiddly AF.

    12:27. Black basecoat with a metalic silver on top. They use a scrunched up plastic bag to lay on top and peel off some of the metallica silver, creating the texture. They then lay candy red on top before lacquer. Very nice finish.

    Schecter absolutely delivers when it comes to quality and tone. The reason the guitar is so well protected is because most manufacturers end up damaging their products during delivery. BC Rich for example, had to postpone a recent series launch because the guitars they planned to model were too beat up upon arrival, with some even breaking their necks. Schecter is the one company that I have never had an issue with and I applaud their innovative work ethic.

      @themodernguitarist 4 роки тому +8

      Goddamn y'all took a joke too seriously. Lol. Saying Pete is a terrible player just because he doesn't use a tone knob. Seriously?
      Also you can still do plenty on a guitar with no tone knob. I always remove the tone knob out of my circuit to completely remove it's effect, and I still get plenty of sounds out of it. Different pickup selections, rolling the volume knobs back, changing the dynamics of your playing etc... In my opinion it's just another knob and wire that can get in the way, both physically and tonally.

      There are plenty of amazing guitar players out there who don't use tone knobs. It doesn't mean they don't "have a honed enough ear to heard the intricacies of tone." You can get your tone many more ways than having to use a tone knob.

I was just at Guitar Center a few days ago and tried a multi scale Steinberger, I didn't much care for it. I'm super curious about this. I've been on an Ibanez RG2228A for years now, and I've never felt like lead playing is comfy or enjoyable on it. Everything's a bit too far away and the string tension is too high. Conversely it's too low on the F# and certainly on the E when I drop tune. This is also one of the first ones I've seen that has a 25.5 scale instead of 26.5. Plus it looks incredible. I'm thinking of swapping out the Banshee Elite 7 I got last year for this, and then an 8 as well. Thanks for the video!

    This was genuinely a good metal song easy to listen to and grasp but still satisfying and brutal

    I was so close to owning a Schecter Omen 8 earlier this year. Unfortunately, the seller wasn't responding to any inquiries, or anything really, so I had to cancel my order. I ended up with a Jackson JS-328 instead. Still a great instrument, but I really wanted that Schecter.
