I like Alistar but fructose still sugar its just sugar with mineral but still sugar and goes directly to the liver wich contribute to the famous thing we call fatty liver got my information from Dr.Eric berg . so meat is healthy when consumed in moderation , vegetable are greate and neccessary for minerals and all that , but the the best thing u can do is to avoid sugar and fructose . I did the experiment on my self , I ate loads of very tasty oranges and bananas almost every day after meal thinking its very healthy and I never lost my belly , once I stopped eating that my belly went away and my abs began to show. so that was fructose keeping my belly making my liver fat
Overeem, regardless of using PED's deserves much respect. This dude fought during the Pride days when everyone, or almost everyone was on something. I still watch his fight against Lesnar from time to time. What an epic fight of two monsters juiced to the gills. Glad he is well.
Yeah but I remember that fight with Brock like it was yesterday. New Broc was going to get fuked up. Never was a fan of Brock he really should have never even been a fight MMA. But big-name big money
Do you idiots seriously not understand that getting knocked out in the ring doesn't just make someone retarded? The fact that he would get knocked out so easily probably helped him, as he wouldn't take a massive volume of blows to the head before he got knocked out. What makes them retarded later in life is when they take so many blows. This is why boxing is much more dangerous and causes more CTE than MMA ever will.
Acidity and alkilinity diets are a phrase. Your body TIGHTLY regulates it regardless of what you are eating that day.. if it didn't the consequences would be dire. Now if you want to talk cortisol, inflammation overstimulation of Mtor that would show he had some idea.

A lot of fruits and fruit juices are high in fructose which is toxic to the liver, unlike glucose which is processed throughout the whole body, fructose is almost entirely metabolized by the liver and over time overconsumption can cause a fatty liver and other ailments 😬 I'm glad for Overeem on his next chapter, but there's a lot to learn in the world of health!
I don't eat meat anymore since 2020, simply because I felt discusted after seeing Dominion and I do not want to be a person who talks about love, peace and compassion, while having suffering, cruelty and violence on my plate. On his last fights, he was fighting more smart, less agressive. To compete against the younger athletes, his levarage was experience, and he use it well.
Yea he got disqualified because of illegal substances. Even though it was declared that the substances were not performance enhancing. So imo it still counts as a win. But unfortunately rules are rules. Disqualified means you don't win.
he is right on the way we are obsessed in general with mobile phones specific social media! still on youtube and fb, but want to get off fb also within a year.
The crazy thing about overeem is when he lost it usually was due a massive knockout like he received a few all time highlight ko loses . And fought for 25 plus years . Yet is still sharp mentally . Bizarre
A few? Can't rememeber exactly but in nearly positive reem has been knocked out a dozen times in his mma career. I can think of 5 devastating Kos off the top of my head just during his ufc tenure. Stipe, ngannou, Rothwell, Browne, Bigfoot
I think the thing he did different was having more cushion (more muscle) to protect him from the blows in MMA. Being a low bodyfat and being depleted a day before a fight is different from a heavyweight who has more muscle to cushion his joints and brain from rattling around after taking a hit
Do you think head padding could ever be implemented in the top combat sports for this reason? I could see it happening if enough fighters have problems as they age.
@@turkeyman631 Combat sports exist in almost every culture since the dawn of humanity and yet we still we see limited headgear use. Sportsman understand the risk, there is also the argument that headgear increases the potential for brain damage due to the fact that one can take more blows to the head with less superficial damage.
@@turkeyman631 I don’t think so, I don’t think it would have the same appeal as MMA does without the head gear. I think the problem is the fighters coming in at low bodyfat and getting dehydrated a day before a fight or even at the fight. Less fat less muscle and you’re prone to injury a lot more. I think the bigger guys have less of a problem with brain injuries than the smaller lankier guys
Love Overeem. Just once id like to hear him say that yes, he experimented with something instead of just horse meat. And weren't Market and Jibs vegetarians as well?
Especially considering how many pro combat sport bouts MMA and kickboxing and his main flaw people talk about with his career and losses was having a glass jaw or getting KOd… and that Francis KO was crazy cause it literally literally lifted him up a bit and had him so stiff.. he definitely seems to be alright compared to other combat athletes who’ve had less matches
This kinda looks like the Alistair of the esrly Pride Days when he fought at Light heavyweight. So basically this is normal, non PEDs Alistair. I think he looks great.
This is great news. He just wants to be healthy! Bravo! People knock vegetarian diets but it’s only when you have a crisis do you appreciate the alternatives. Yes I also eat meat, grew up a vegetarian, and I can tell you that at 40 not only do I look younger than my peers I also don’t have all their ailments and I’m more fit. I do plan on getting off meat eating when I choose a more sedentary life after retirement.
Awesome not crazy about the vegetarian stuff but great to see him doing well. I remember he was one of the first fighters that really focused on breath work working with Wim Hof.
Everyone trying to get healthy will first go through a vegetarian phase and then realize that it's actually not that healthy to deprive yourself of nutrients. As a cleanser it's great, but we're not supposed to cleanse forever as a diet. That will lead to deficiency and scronny man syndrome.
@@nevinkuser9892oh really? 😂 After 8 years I'm still waiting for the lacking nutrition.. I can not imagine myself going back because I never felt this good when I ate animals. It's great to see an ex fighter talking so eloquently with seemingly no effects of having a brutal fighting career. He's obviously a very intelligent guy. The meat v vegetarian debate is an interesting one. I have been a vegetarian for 25 years. I'm in my mid forties now, still playing soccer and hiking mountains around the world. I can keep up with guys in their twenties. I feel young, my recovery time is quick and I never get sick. It has definitely not hindered me in life.
I don't think I could be in better shape than I'm in now at my age. All of my friends eat meat and no longer play sport as they are not physically able and get injured or can't recover from injuries. I don't know for certain if this is because I'm a vegetarian, but i'm happy with the decision as I feel really fit and strong and still able to compete against younger guys.
@@rhysparry6271 I hear you but I have to tell you I eat a lot of meat and in my mid 50’s and in better shape than my 20, 30 or 40 years old me… We are designed to eat everything (except refine sugar and carbs) and need to trust our body rather than our minds when it come to food selection. I have seen more and more vegetarians going back to full carnivore diet and being revitalized. I don’t know where you live and what kind of friends you have but I’d rather compare myself to my younger self than some average joe… More than what you eat, I believe, I know from experience it is about frequency and quantity. I have been on intermittent fasting for 4 years now, and people around me (including family) felt I got younger. My body surely feels younger and stronger, including my immune system. Take carrW
I live in Wales. Eating meat has obviously worked well for you. But I don't believe I could be in any better shape for my age. As I said I compete and hold my own against guys that are half my age in soccer and I'm hiking and climbing mountains like a 20 year old. I spoke to a sport scientist the other day about this in regards to sport and he said that you can get your protein from a non meat diet that fulfils your needs. I also look a lot younger than I am. So I'm sticking to vegetarianism, its worked really well for me. But everybody is different. Its good to try things and see what suits you best as an individual.

yeah Overeem sounds so CLEVER!!!!! .... "I ate an apple, it was not the best apple ever, it was like err, the best apple ever and errr yeah" .....GENIUS!
He’s not on the secret juice anymore hence reason for weight loss. His weight loss started after he failed drug test so thought not competing anymore so lower or come off the TRt probably
This is what I like, health While pumping himself full or gear, bashing people and also creating an epidemic of copy cats Many of whom will get ill or die
We already know he was gassing 100%. Using a bit of everything. He lost a ton of weight from cried into UFC and then after the fight with Brock Lesnar he lost a significant amount of weight. It wasn't because he was sick because he was coming off the gear. Now could he be sick with something. Possibly but the other day when people see these fighters or these people in WWF. And when they retire they shrink well it's because they get off the sauce. Nobody is typically 200 lb lean when they're natural. When I was 255 to 60 I had abs and I was honest with everybody. Even to this day 43 years old that 210 lb with abs yeah I'm on trt.a little bit over the dosage. Only 200 mg week. The big scheme of things that's nothing. And I had the muscle mass so that's why I hold muscle mass. But I can't hold as much as I had. That's impossible. So this is just how it works.this is why when natural people get for men especially. They are in shape and whatnot in that 40-years old you see them typically starting to get a belly fat and their limbs appear to besmaller. It's because the testosterone and the androgen receptors binding affinities all the biological stuff that I won't get into. But if you know you know what I'm talkin about. So with your testosterone levels lower you can't hold on to as much muscle mass that you had so yes you will atrophy.
The guy is a BS Artist. He lied about steroids and is still lying. He had to get off the juice or on TRT. It must of been really been effecting his health and had to stop. His head and muscles got smaller. Obvious sign of steroids.
Alkaline diets don't prevent cancer, this thought is premised on the idea that tumors have an acidic microenvironment-but that is because of the poor oxygen supply leads to greater production of lactate. There are however a lot of alkaline foods that are very nutrient dense and high in phytonutrients, which may help prevent cancer.

It simple. You were correct. He stopped juicing and eating six to seven times a day and went back to his natural weight. Plus he is termed so probably isn't lifting like he used to either.
Yes too much sugar does, but not sensible amounts
Overeem, regardless of using PED's deserves much respect. This dude fought during the Pride days when everyone, or almost everyone was on something. I still watch his fight against Lesnar from time to time. What an epic fight of two monsters juiced to the gills. Glad he is well.
Yeah but I remember that fight with Brock like it was yesterday. New Broc was going to get fuked up. Never was a fan of Brock he really should have never even been a fight MMA. But big-name big money
They are all on steroids
@@jayrands5380 Lesnar had legit wrestling credentials.
@@jayrands5380Brock was legit but any high level heavyweights like say Stipe or of course Jon Jones would demolish him
@@jayrands5380Brock's problem was that he was one dimensional and he didn't like getting hit.
This video is amazing my man. Thank you for making this.
Good to see him doing well and having his marbles into his future. He suffered some bad knockouts in the UFC .
He took massive punishment over the years. Smart decision to retire
I wonder if all the gear through the years actually helped preserve his brain? He was highlight ko'd by francis. And hes still sharp as a tack.
No steroids do not preserve physical brain damage whatsoever.
CTE can take years to set in.
Everyone hit the LIKE button and show Jon some love for his a1 production
Thx you man. People don't realize how much it helps me.
Acidity and alkilinity diets are a phrase.
Your body TIGHTLY regulates it regardless of what you are eating that day.. if it didn't the consequences would be dire.
Now if you want to talk cortisol, inflammation overstimulation of Mtor that would show he had some idea.
but what you eat that day, does have an effect on it
@@NotWatchingTV @NotWatchingTV on akalinity of the body? Can you please link the evidence to this claim that PH balance diets are credible?
Yeah he's an idiot. It sounds like he has some medical issues from prolonged steroid abuse and is trying every dumb fad to fix it because he's scared.
This guy is a legend
I told you!!! No more trenbolonga horse meat. Hes a vegetarian now.
Amazing how sharp he is compared to others, hope he starts a business.
Alistar Overeem is a pioneer for the MMA and started this with Fedor and Pride Fc truest OG
Alistair looks like he needs a RIBEYE 🥩
It's crazy that people have been eating meat for thousands of years and then someone decided to tell them they shouldn't.
Good interview and analysis. I’m 67 and very active. Gym 4 x week. Krav Maga 2/3 x week.
I feel great. Except for a bad knee. I previously dropped 30 lbs. and toned up my body.
Never to late to reset.
And it would take less than a week to gain that 30 lbs back. The hardest part of working out is having the motivation to do it every week.
@@J23486 I’ve been this weight now over 4 years. The 30 pounds less that is. I’ve maintained it.

He trained alot with wim Hoff.. now he's getting older he fought past his prime was a natural light heavyweight but turned himself into a mass monster but you can't train your chin.. and he wasn't going to win the belt but 15yr at the top juiced he won a few big fights in Japan K-1 title and dream champion.. beat Brock Lesnar then steroid testing got sticker his body changed he had to change his style hit and not get hit but he got knocked out alot.. but im glad hes healthy and wants to be healthy because he pushed the envelope trying to be UFC champion the only title he never won .. 17 knockout losses he had and some brutal knockouts from the best fighters in the world plus years of sparring.. but hes retired and is now looking like a different human but wasn't to stay healthy.. pretty crazy not that long ago he was on all the steroids going toe to toe with giant fighters and getting smashed but still fighting.. but he's seen its over time to get healthy and he's already half his size he was in his prime fighting eating horse meat
Dude , the Phone thing IS CRAAAAAZY TRUE!!!
A lot of fruits and fruit juices are high in fructose which is toxic to the liver, unlike glucose which is processed throughout the whole body, fructose is almost entirely metabolized by the liver and over time overconsumption can cause a fatty liver and other ailments 😬
I'm glad for Overeem on his next chapter, but there's a lot to learn in the world of health!
Lol water is “toxic” in large amounts.
@@RpMcMurphy_dumb dumb he spoke facts and u didn't understand cuz ur clueless.
Exactly, it's primarily the liver that can break apart fructose. Not a good idea to eat much of it.
Too much is always too much. It's all about balance. Like the man said, even water is toxic in large amounts.
Great video
Alistair looks like a long distance runner nowadays. however his biceps is still kinda uber.
UBER? WHAT THEN DOES MY THUMBNAIL BICEP LOOK LIKE, UBERSOME
@@leelunk8235looks like a pimple
One word, he's finished period.
I don't eat meat anymore since 2020, simply because I felt discusted after seeing Dominion and I do not want to be a person who talks about love, peace and compassion, while having suffering, cruelty and violence on my plate. The hard part is that about 95% of my fellow human beings have a part in a collective crime on animals but seem to be unable to care.. it's been tough since realising this. Now watch all the offended responses..
On his last fights, he was fighting more smart, less agressive. To compete against the younger athletes, his levarage was experience, and he use it well.
Very interesting changes he has implemented. He is spot on about tech addiction and dopamine.
Jon bravo bring more content
I'm trying lol
My man ALISTER. HE WILL ALWAYS BE THEEEE MAN ...
He recently defeated Badr Hari, a long-time career rival, so it makes sense why he decided to hang up the gloves and focus on longevity.
He was on roids again , and got disqualified
Another good one jony b
I think the bigger guys have less of a problem with brain injuries than the smaller lankier guys
thank you brother for this information
I'm happy he found a purpose and drive outside MMA and wish him all the best 🙏
Jonny Bravo! Sorry im 3 hrs late. Busy running errands. Im here now! Leggo! 👍
Meat is why humans have large brains and why vegans tend to suffer from mental illness you would be better off on a all-meat diet than a vegan diet
"we're not designed to eat meat"...now thats science lol
Remember, this man KO'd the Super Samoan
Awesome not crazy about the vegetarian stuff but great to see him doing well. I remember he was one of the first fighters that really focused on breath work working with Wim Hof.
No. Rickson Gracie.
Everyone trying to get healthy will first go through a vegetarian phase and then realize that it's actually not that healthy to deprive yourself of nutrients. As a cleanser it's great, but we're not supposed to cleanse forever as a diet. That will lead to deficiency and scronny man syndrome.
@@nevinkuser9892💯%
@@nevinkuser9892oh really? 😂 After 8 years I'm still waiting for the lacking nutrition.. I can not imagine myself going back because I never felt this good when I ate animals. He’s smart, but he’s just delusional at the moment regarding diet, sounds like he’s been listening to that Freelee the 🍌 nutcase who’s jaw melted after only eating fruit.
He's forever a legend! Respect!!
Great vid Jannnnny
It's great to see an ex fighter talking so eloquently with seemingly no effects of having a brutal fighting career. He's obviously a very intelligent guy. The meat v vegetarian debate is an interesting one. I have been a vegetarian for 25 years. I'm in my mid forties now, still playing soccer and hiking mountains around the world. I can keep up with guys in their twenties. I feel young, my recovery time is quick and I never get sick. It has definitely not hindered me in life.
How do you know you would not feel even better and stronger if you were on a carnivore diet?
I don’t know where you live and what kind of friends you have but I’d rather compare myself to my younger self than some average joe…
More than what you eat, I believe, I know from experience it is about frequency and quantity.

Overeem is pushing nutritional pseudoscience. I'm surprised he didn't say egg yolks increase your cholesterol.😂
Dude hangs out with all sorts of Dutch 'gurus' that's why.
We are the most atheïst country in Europe maybe in the world and somehow people search for different kind of 'religions'.
I am atheïst myself and it's interesting how many Dutch coaches and lifestyle gurus you have these days, they ain't scientists whatsoever. It's something 😂
This is most likely a side effect of CTE, or maybe he was always gullible.

He’s not on the secret juice anymore hence reason for weight loss. His weight loss started after he failed drug test so thought not competing anymore so lower or come off the TRt probably
Overeem sharp AF considering he received an uppercut by a Ford Escort that turned him into a Pez Dispenser
This is what I like, health

The uppercut was life changing 💀 turned him vegan
LOL HE JUST GOT KICKED OUT OF GLORY BECUASE OF ROIDS AND NOW HE IS CLEARLY OF THE ALL PEDS SO HES TURNING INTO A HEALTH GURU LMAO
This guy was a beast ... with a lot of Juice
Great video!
The guy is a BS Artist. He lied about steroids and is still lying. He had to get off the juice or on TRT. It must of been really been effecting his health and had to stop. His head and muscles got smaller. Obvious sign of steroids.
100% he's a scam artist. anything but the truth.
Love this guy since the beginning
Vegetarians are huge and constant farters, welcome to their club Overeem.
