@@wdmoxleyIt's probably true that he came along at the right time. But it's also true that his strength and athleticism DID enable him to pull it off, along with whatever cocktail of drugs he was taking. Weight/size advantages are not straightforward. Stipe, for example, although around 6'3 or 6'4 is fairly lean, and has weighed in as low as 230lbs. Velasquez is squat, and hardly of monstrous proportions. Not really.
Randy was about 15 years older and probably 60 pounds lighter. His MMA record is 5-3, and he had a fluke shot at the title during the shallowest heavyweight division since the UFCs early days.
@@wdmoxleyIt's probably true that he came along at the right time. But it's also true that his strength and athleticism DID enable him to pull it off, along with whatever cocktail of drugs he was taking. Weight/size advantages are not straightforward. A lot of UFC heavyweight champions have not actually been that big, either in terms of height or weight. Stipe, for example, although around 6'3 or 6'4 is fairly lean, and has weighed in as low as 230lbs. Velasquez is squat, and hardly of monstrous proportions. Werdum is, what, around 6'3'', but sometimes weighed around 230-240lbs. Does Santos roughly the same. Then you have someone like Cormier, who beat most heavyweights he faced, and is about 5'9''. Obviously very talented. But small, although not light. Many past and present UFC heavyweights are obviously big, and certainly large compared the the average Joe. But to my knowledge, most of the top heavyweights have never been huge guys. Prime Fedor wasn't particularly big either. Big monsters have never ruled the division.

I was merely explaining why Brock was hesitant and nervous the entire fight. It has nothing to do with Overeem being a "mythical monster," and it has everything to do with Lesner's medical status.
Yes he did decide to fight with a broken stomach, and that's more honorable than the mannerism of Overeem's victory.
Because Brock knew ubereem was as juiced as he was!
Brock may be superhuman but he literally is fighting shrek
He was looking for those knees the whole fight. Awesome shit. 🔥🔥
whats awesome about targeting an injured mans repaired intestines? the fight was meaningless really. just a pay day for brock as he competed after surgery
@@VVega-id8enbrock was trash anyways
@@DroManJoTF?
Retired him.
Jeez time flies. I remember waking up the morning of dec 30th 2011 gettin ready for the ppv by watchin ufc vids on youtube and here i am 10 years later unreal
I could see the fear on Lesnar eyes from the beginning.
@@YetAnotherRetardedYTUpdate he’s bulldozed people his size before tho. It’s just for some reason he didn’t do that in this fight and also he went down super fast because he had a stomach surgery.
@@YetAnotherRetardedYTUpdate Mir, Herring, and Carwin were all similar height and weight to Brock, if not more.
@@YetAnotherRetardedYTUpdate no it was scripted and he had surgery
Guys who have relied on their size their whole life are usually like that. Not the toughest when facing an equal opponent
@@YetAnotherRetardedYTUpdatedon't forget Overeem also far better at striking and has his own patented guillotine choke submission. The only thing Lesnar got was he's heavier uncut.
ITS AMAZING...ALI TOOK HIS TIME IN THE START AND KNOCK DOWN BROCK IN THE END...
Man... The legendary liver kick!
You only need to land one.
Wow, the reflection of these fighters is something surreal

@@spookyboi317 overeem his reflects
This Overeem was a beast. Would have loved to see him win the heavyweight belt a few years ago
yeah they need a division that has a free for all when it comes to peds. Fuck it, no weight classes either.
He was super close against Stipe and that was after ubereem when he had a normal body.
He should have kept striking instead of going for the choke
@Auto Blipper nah he would’ve still got knocked out now go cry
The ref and Alistair had a lot of mercy on Brock at the end of the match.
2:44 - "Shots to the body that has been surgically repaired". Lesnar had a life threatening diverticulitis surgery a few months before this fight. It's commendable how he even agreed to fight against Overeem.
he had surgery 2 years ago not months ago and brock said he was 100% 6 hours after the surgery and kept saying he would beat reem’s ass in interviews and got butchered like a pony lmao😂😂😂 mf all bark no bite
@@LeMoN-vb4petbh brick lesnar was an overrated heavyweight, the guy was average at best.
You could call it commendable or you could call it foolish.
@@complex4059 yeah, totally. WWE clowns should stick to acting.
@@LeMoN-vb4pehe got a colon of his intestine removed on may 2011 and this fight was done in December 2011 so you can see there is not much difference. Plus a foot of his colon was removed which is unbelievable how he even agreed to fight with overeem and still cut his eyebrow. Plus overeem was completely juiced in this fight you can see his arm are even bigger than brocks here, I don't know if brock was juiced or not but morever he wouldn't cause he must have taken precautions after diverticulitis
Imagine a normal person getting hit with that last Overeem kick? You might not survive.
Not a chance lol
it would snap me in half
I died just by imagining
@@AhmedMBakry LOL my liver is in orbit. what a beast
Please!
Overeems knee's are just absolutely brutal.
I've never seen anyone with knee's like that....
that first one lifted brock like almost 6 inches off the ground lol
Anderson Silva vs Rich Franklin....
Lol it's nothing vicious, bro just had diverticulitis surgery and that dude just took advantage of it, it's pathetic, if Brock was fine that guy wouldn't have stood a chance, you can tell the power difference he was cut open in just one jab lol
@@daddykun4975 "That dude" would fuck Lesnar up 10 times out of 10 lmao. This is Lesnar's 2nd ass whooping in a row and he barely managed to land a hit in the previous one.
UFC isn't the WWE
What gets me most about this fight is that Yamasaki switched bodies with Herb and made a good stoppage😂😂
Lesnar looked scared from the start, he was probably thinking damn this dude is bigger than me lol
That was genius. Brock couldn't bring his hands down because that right hand, and those body shots took away Brocks ability to take him down.
Brock wouldn’t be able too anyway
Brock was never the same after his surgery in 2009. He won one time again after it, but lost all the next three fights consecutively. That's the reason why brock was so protective of his abdomen when Allister kept kicking and kneeing him there. If he didn't need surgery back then brock could have continued being the champ at least until usada came around.
Umm no
He fought scared after cain almost killed him
Overeem was beating guys consistently before Lesnar ever thought about getting into MMA. How was Lesnar going to win this fight without seriously committing to a takedown?
@@Spiritof_76yeah seriously. He knocked out people with iron jaws like Fujita and Mark Hunt. Lesnar never had a chance, at most his takedown attempt could be more vicious. And even then the smaller Cain able to get around him blasting.
Hats off to Lesnar , fighting after a major surgery
He had brock in the bag, he was playing with him all along, looking at his slower reaction time, early distracted by the fake outs, he was just looking at how hard it would be to break his guard
He got a liver shot.
No one can stand a liver shot.
If he couldn't get that liver it could have been anyone's game. Brock is a ground 'n pound king
@@andersrobertsen7610 no but I mean even before the knee(s) and kicks to the liver, just the entire first part is just him faking brock and seeing how good his reaction was, perposely waiting for brock to throw some punches and trying to dodge them to see his reaction to that. That's why I think he went for that knee in the first place, he found brocks rythem and knew when to step in and to throw that knee, and then did it again and again till the liver gave up. Every time he went in for the knee he either faked his punch or went after a dodge
@@shemshem9998 no he did it because he knew Brock just came back from surgery
How brock can handle those knees for ao long..with his injuries. brocks a monster..unimaginable endurance he have
😂😂😂😂 coping hard
Ahh moral victories
Barely lasted 3min 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣my sex game better than that
are u serious? you little suckup. Brock got his ass over-reemed by that big black cagefighter!
@@tonyvilla3 nah he had like a surgery in his guts, imagine taking knees like that after surgery haha. It wasnt years later either, he recovered and then went right into the fight. Not saying its a moral victory, but u cant act like going in with surgery guts taking knees isnt gonna change the feeling up a bit lol.
Alistair knew from the very first second that he was winning this fight. Brock was trying to figure out how he ended up in the same octagon as Alistair.
Brock already had injuries in stomach and overeem threw multiple knees there and made it worst , sad for lesnar😔
