This ref had to have been paid to help Badr. Didnt call the KD in round 2 which isnt too bad. Despite Badr touching down, he stayed up so you can forgive the ref for not seeing it, or letting it go. However, the counts he was giving in round 3 are unforgiveable. Badr had been down for a good 5 seconds and he was starting the count at 1
@Justin Spiguzza Totaly agree. On second KO, Badr falls @21:36 and the clock is 0:59 when he fully gets back up @21:51 and the clock is 0:45, he was down for 13 seconds, Ref only started to count @21:43, clock is 0:53, it took him 5 to 6 seconds to start counting Badr. Respect to both nonetheless, two legends.
When a boxer is knocked down, the referee shall direct the opponent to move to the farthest neutral corner of the ring. If the opponent leaves the neutral corner, the referee shall interrupt the count and will not resume the count until the opponent returns to the neutral corner. Proud talented fighter who doesn't know to give up, Badar Hari. You are both legends ❤❤❤
I know everybody has their opinion of what they would do if they were ultra-skilled and dangerous kickboxers like Overeem or Hari. Both of these men were so much better than most of the world's heavyweight kickboxers ever get to be. Head and shoulders above. The best, at one time. That said, these guys shouldn't be put into positions to get brutally KO'd anymore. Both of these men have taken extreme punishment in the ring. They are true legends. We need to protect our legends. Our sport does not lend well to old age. I don't want to see these guys die young.
Badr had the whole crowd and the referee on his side, all the while fighting a guy who hasn't fought in kickboxing in over a decade and still couldn't pull off a victory how sad 😞 time to retire. The first 2 rounds were close but Badr definitely gassed out in the 3rd showing his age.
👏 Congratulations Overreem Great Comeback 43 yrs !! Kept the Pressure on strong the whole Fight his Cardio was Insane and 3 round heavy on his Strikes really did serious damage 💯🙏
I see comments saying they feel sad for these guys. If you feel sad, then these two feel sad for you, because they are Legends and ya'll sitting around feeling sad. If they'd retired 10 years ago they'd have a hole in their souls that only fighting can fill. Its like David Goggins says, you don't wanna get to the finish line and still have something left. You leave it all out there. You die fighting. If you're living your life any other way you're dead already.
Overeem is back on the horsemeat. Maybe just TRT. He was so much softer when he was tested by USADA in UFC. His transformation is similar to that of Vitor when he left UFC.

Not to mention that beautiful liver kick that was called a low blow that almost finished hari in the 2nd round. The ref was totally biased...glad the judges were not.
Part that got me laughing is when Reem threw up his double forearm guard and Hari immediately starts punching the body. If you watch Reem's run through MMA (especially him vs Roy Nelson), it's as if the body does not exist for the majority of heavyweight MMA fighters. Even his final MMA loss against Volkov was Volkov throwing punches at his high forearm guard and managing to sneak enough straight shots through to hurt and finish Reem, never once going "oh, his body is right there".
@@phatsas8061exactly, a guard does nothing in MMA. The only way to stop the effect of the punches is to make them miss completely or deflect the punches with your elbows/open hands. They don’t have those giant pillows to cover their whole head and you can just punch straight through a conventional boxing/kickboxing guard in MMA. Two great fighters thanks for all of these great fights and dedication to kick boxing
This ref had to have been paid to help Badr. Didnt call the KD in round 2 which isnt too bad. Despite Badr touching down, he stayed up so you can forgive the ref for not seeing it, or letting it go. However, the counts he was giving in round 3 are unforgiveable. Badr had been down for a good 5 seconds and he was starting the count at 1
Not only did he wait 5 seconds to count he asked him a question between 6 and 7
The ref said “will u keep going” in Dutch in both cases. And started counting a little late in my opinion.
Definitely some bias from the ref
@Justin Spiguzza Totaly agree.
I'm bias as I always love The Reem, even though Badr displayed much better skill in his fight imho, but objectively speaking, the ref is bias asf. Hopefully, the judges gave him to the Reem.
Respect to both nonetheless, two legends.
He got disqualified for this fight because of steroids.
@@bundleofhumble3119Oh c'mon
When a boxer is knocked down, the referee shall direct the opponent to move to the farthest neutral corner of the ring. If the opponent leaves the neutral corner, the referee shall interrupt the count and will not resume the count until the opponent returns to the neutral corner.
This for anyone that was wondering about the late count
Nobody can stop the Ubereem. I never thought I'd see this version of Overeem again. So epic.
Ubereem vs patient nganou now thats a fight

What are you talking about, these guys looked great, even when compared to guys in their prime today at the top. They deserve a little respect and I guarantee you wouldn't say that to their face.
@@jameswyman3973 Nope! They're slow and sloppy.
People always talk about Overeem’s chin, but tbh he took some bombs this fight and kept going! 2 absolute legends of combat sports!
RIGGED! That referee clearly protected Bard. I'm so glad that Overeem GoT this. He was the one active and hunting.
True
This referee should have stopped it. He clearly put Bard in serious jeopardy when gave him those long counts. Bard could have been SERIOUSLY hurt for life.

For one more bout Overeem became Ubereem!
Dude definitely looked much much closer to "Ubereem" than he has in his last 3 fights in the UFC. Happy to have seen these two legends have a chance to go at each other one more time.
They are compatibles, both strong, they have grown older and wiser, love them both. These are men that keep us loving these sport. I grant both of them a great fight and a victory.
Big respect for both of this legend.. what a nostalgic clash!!
2 titans of their prime ... But nobody can fight against time...
From not calling the knockdown to those horribly slow counts, this rap should never be allowed to work in fight Sports again! It's not just a fight, it's these man's, these Warriors livelihoods!
"it doesn't matter because in the end I want to fight you" is the best line I've ever heard a fighter say about the prefight drama.
Both these guys are great warriors, and I’m glad to see them getting their flowers 🙌🏽
That uppercut was the end of the fight. Everything changed after it.
noooooooooo really?! u could be a world class commentator
does anyone know if is it legal to hold the head down and punch at the same time in Glory?
That left kick, straight right was beautiful
This is definitely sad story about legends are becoming retired gladiators. I'll never forget your fights guys.
Much respect to both warriors. I think this should be the final episode of this story and they can both take their leave gracefully. 🙏🏼
I think 💬🤔 they should du another one!! Imo 😎✌🏾
When they are 60 years old
Badr must be respectful like the GOAT Namsaknoi 🙏
badr got a 13 count and a 14 count.... this ref was just chilling
almost went for coffeebreak before he started counting!
Overeem wasnt back in his corner. The count only starts when the fighter goes into the neutral corner.
Not true, someone on the outside should be counting so when the ref comes to Badr he isn’t giving him more time, like he did, to recover. Even commentary points out the error.
@@kyokushinfightfullmma never heard of this in boxing and kickboxing...
Ref is supposed to start counting
Not walk overeem to his corner and 5 sec later start counting.
They literally got a Moroccan referee, that's like me as a Nigerian reffing the Izzy Pereira fight, lord knows I'd have let that fight go on...
In kick boxing winning round is more important or beating your opponent alot is more important?
I see Badr won 2 rounds out of 3
And overreem won 1 round out of 3 but he won the fight bcoz he beaten Badr more in R3?
Another piece of combat history, 2 legends❤
fight camera angles are just pure gold
Who ever wins or loose you are both legends. I still remember when I first started watching MMA and I saw Alistair Overeem he looked like a fighter made out in some mad scientist lab, like a Gi Joe and then I came to know about a proud... Proud talented fighter who doesn't know to give up, Badar Hari. You are both legends ❤❤❤
Alistatar also in ufc history he is better
21:36 Never seen a ref stop the count to ask a fighter if he's okay.
Glory for you...behold!
He did not. He asked 'Ga je door?' = 'Do you continue?'.
he's arabic that's why he goes with badr normaly they put referee from different nationality
@@King-pv8fk Same thing basically!
@@adamevert1618 ofcourse it is not ya goof. What do you think he would ask after 8 seconds?
That ref was so fucking biased. He was just doing everything for Badr to win
I don't like Badr Hari. Always seeking trouble and provocation. Satisfying Fight.
The counting of the ref after the first knock down was highly questionable...
With that said, 2 legends, 2 beasts.
Great fight, respect!
They are at the end of their careers...no shame..all respect.
Well said my friend
Shouldn't be put into positions? Mate they guys decide to continue to be fighters, nobody forces them. They don't pity themselves, don't pity them
why no one is mentioning Overeem has been suspended for 1 year and his win over Badr Hari has been overturned due to doping violation
Because everyone knows they are all on juice some are just better than others at hiding it.
They all juice. Some hide it better than others. Anyone who fought in pride is still juicing. Don’t act like they dont
Those KI guys are all juiced uo
look a pics of a young badr and you will understand they all are on the juice
Overeem could do some pilgrimage while Badr was knocked down and the moment he got back in the ring, the ref might still counting from 1-5 lmao.
That was a very entertaining fight!
Very cool to see these 2 legends bash it out again.
And on PEDS
Yh but badr had over 120 fights that warn him out

I loved that 20 count badr got in rd3
Yeah and Hari is Very likely natural, Overeem cant do anything withouth roids, Hari is Just superior

@@krell2130 I was taking orders from a table as i saw a giant walk right past me and at the sight of his backhead i instantly knew that i would recognize it from somewhere. Then it clicked and i realized that it was Overeem and as big as he ever was so he was out of the USADA testing pool for sure.
I went to his table to greet him and tell him that i had been watching him ever since i was a kid. I also let him know that he is a legend and a pilgrim of the sport before i took his order and served him some adana kebab.
He was appreciative of the support and the fact that i paid for their meal, i took some pics with him and still have it as my whatsapp pfp.

For me Overeem has great stamina because he's training in Mma. While Hari is very different now unlike when we go back to his previous fights 10 yrs ago.most of Badir new losses are in the last round. He has a lack of stamina..

@@DC-cy6uj yeah, my thoughts too. Didnt seem like a low kick, seemed perfectly legit. I understand that kick would hurt either way though xD
Overeem had be back on juice in this fight Alesteroid .😅
It took Ubereem a minute to realize he wasn’t in a MMA match. Looks like he was faking the takedown in the first and was reluctant to kick.
Cos it’s easier for mma gloves to sneak through the guards especially heavyweights to ko someone
He’s also wrong because one of the most famous heavyweight wins in MMA heavyweight history is Stipe vs Cormier II when Stipe won because he kept going to the body lol this dude doesn’t know what he’s talking about
@imaabouttobekoedbuckleyfac4881 🤣Yeah took him long enough to figure fatboy DC had his belly exposed.

@@MalleusIudaeorum Stipe vs DC was an infamous fight but it took 4 rounds for Stipe to adjust. It took so long to adjust in fact that DC had no game plan for it because he never saw Stipe really punch the body before. Doesn't really say much since most fighters still don't attack the body much
