    It takes a lot of courage to fight a powerhouse like Overeem knowing that he's coming for revenge and it takes a lot of intent to fight a top level fighter like Hari at the age of 42 knowing that your reflex & muscles won't act the way they did 5 years back.
    Immense respect to both warriors.

    That ref needs to lose his job after this. Badr was down for over a ten count and it was late and slow. Way to totally show it’s not rigged in anyway.

      Alistair needed to be in the neutral corner dummy

    • @charifl755
      @charifl755 2 роки тому +24

      The only mistake he made was probably pointing to the wrong corner the first time Badr went down. Alistair needed to be in the neutral corner before the ref could continue counting, but Alistair walked there very slowly.

    • @slickbricknick123
      @slickbricknick123 2 роки тому +176

      Not how it works dummy. When a fighter goes down there is someone on the outside who counts as well so when the ref sends the fighter to the corner he’s not starting at one. The commentary team even said “he should be at eight! Not one.” There’s your problem. Not overeem walking slowly.

      @ZENJI GAMING you can't argue how he feels, many people with dual citizenship as myself choose your country, I'm Italian-Dutch, but I'm Italian even though I was born in the Netherlands, in all sports it's common, Christian Vieri grew up in Australia and even played cricket but he's Italian through and through, look at Overeem, he was born in England, his father is Jamaican and his mother is Dutch and his ancestor is King William III of Holland, he chooses to be Dutch, when Hari spoke to the Dutch crowd after his loss to Leko the Dutch crowd boo'd him, and that was the last time he fought under the Dutch flag, he also has a good relationship with the King of Morocco so if the King of your own people praises you and acknowledged you instead of the people where you make your home who would you choose, besides that the Moroccan's love Badr. Just because you're born and live somewhere doesn't mean you feel at home.

      @@syedasharimam When you get knocked down you lose one point. If you win a round without a knockdown it is 10-9 for the winning fighter. So badr won the first two 10-9 so the score is 20-18, and then he lost the last round 10-7 because he got knocked down twice so total score is 28-27 for overeem.

    This ref had to have been paid to help Badr. Didnt call the KD in round 2 which isnt too bad. Despite Badr touching down, he stayed up so you can forgive the ref for not seeing it, or letting it go. However, the counts he was giving in round 3 are unforgiveable. Badr had been down for a good 5 seconds and he was starting the count at 1

      On second KO, Badr falls @21:36 and the clock is 0:59 when he fully gets back up @21:51 and the clock is 0:45, he was down for 13 seconds, Ref only started to count @21:43, clock is 0:53, it took him 5 to 6 seconds to start counting Badr.
      I'm bias as I always love The Reem, even though Badr displayed much better skill in his fight imho, but objectively speaking, the ref is bias asf. Hopefully, the judges gave him to the Reem.

      @@krell2130 I was taking orders from a table as i saw a giant walk right past me and at the sight of his backhead i instantly knew that i would recognize it from somewhere. Then it clicked and i realized that it was Overeem and as big as he ever was so he was out of the USADA testing pool for sure.
      I went to his table to greet him and tell him that i had been watching him ever since i was a kid. I also let him know that he is a legend and a pilgrim of the sport before i took his order and served him some adana kebab.
      He was appreciative of the support and the fact that i paid for their meal, i took some pics with him and still have it as my whatsapp pfp.
      I hope this is more enjoyable for u i just wanted to share a happy moment of mine meeting someone i admired for a long time in my own restaurant.

    For me Overeem has great stamina because he's training in Mma. While Hari is very different now unlike when we go back to his previous fights 10 yrs ago.most of Badir new losses are in the last round. He has a lack of stamina..

    Part that got me laughing is when Reem threw up his double forearm guard and Hari immediately starts punching the body. If you watch Reem's run through MMA (especially him vs Roy Nelson), it's as if the body does not exist for the majority of heavyweight MMA fighters. Even his final MMA loss against Volkov was Volkov throwing punches at his high forearm guard and managing to sneak enough straight shots through to hurt and finish Reem, never once going "oh, his body is right there".

    • @phatsas8061

      Cos it’s easier for mma gloves to sneak through the guards especially heavyweights to ko someone

    • @MalleusIudaeorum
      @MalleusIudaeorum Рік тому +26

      @@phatsas8061exactly, a guard does nothing in MMA. The only way to stop the effect of the punches is to make them miss completely or deflect the punches with your elbows/open hands. They don’t have those giant pillows to cover their whole head and you can just punch straight through a conventional boxing/kickboxing guard in MMA.
      He’s also wrong because one of the most famous heavyweight wins in MMA heavyweight history is Stipe vs Cormier II when Stipe won because he kept going to the body lol this dude doesn’t know what he’s talking about

      @@MalleusIudaeorum Stipe vs DC was an infamous fight but it took 4 rounds for Stipe to adjust. It took so long to adjust in fact that DC had no game plan for it because he never saw Stipe really punch the body before. Doesn't really say much since most fighters still don't attack the body much
