Dana White has it both ways. In Boxing, fighters have no health insurance, etc. But they fight who they want, when they want, and for the price they agree to. They're independent contractors.
In the UFC, Dana White decides when and who they fight for chump change. They're employees of the UFC.
The very least the UFC can do is give those fighters health insurance, 401K, and everything else associated with a 9-5 job.
Ngannou will make more money in one night fighting Jake Paul than his entire UFC career. That's sad!

These things Francis speak of (in regards to more incentives for fighters) will definitely be happening within the next 10 years because UFC will be on the same level as NBA/NFL/MLB. They can’t be that big and not have a fighters association. Can’t be that big and not have 100% insurance benefits during and after career. Can’t be that big and not allowing fighters to have sponsors. This decision could be the one thing that breaks UFC or at least bring it down to the same level as other fight promotions because the others are actively promoting “look we pay our fighters well”
