Got in one yesterday. Incredible vehicle. A couple things of note.
1. This car is LARGE. I’ve been in S class before and the sort but they “work” when driving them. This car is just hilariously massive and I love it. You need to constantly be aware of its size when driving. However the car helps you out with this a lot. When you turn around to look in the rear, you literally forget there’s also a front hood in front of you because the car is so massive.
2. It is insanely comfortable. In any car in the rear seats you always have to kinda squeeze your legs or be aware. Here you can actually relax. The headrests are also, finally comfortable. They feel like a pillow and I love it.
3. Opening the rear doors is very strange. I expected them to stay in place like the 7 series but they don’t. They require a forceful tug, and they will shut if you don’t hold them.
4. This car is not a Rolls Royce. Consider it a perfect S Class instead. Better than all the S Classes, 7 Series etc.. the reason I say this is there’s still a lot of plastic inside that you’ll notice if you look for it. For example, the champagne doorway is plastic. The bottom dash has some plastic. It’s perfection yes. But not obsessive perfection like Rolls Royce.

agree. but best bang for the buck imo. sure, if you want absolute perfection you can get a rr, but that costs double at minimum and is not worth that uptick in price imo. also, in germany you dont want to command too much attention anyway. maybach is already a lot, imagine the chatter of your employees when they see a rr in the driveaway haha. a bit too much imo
So beautiful. I can't decide between wanting to drive and wanting to be driven; I'll just be happy with owning a Mercedes-Maybach. The car is perfect.

I'd rather own this Mercedes-Maybach than a private jet. That's how excellent this is.
Ironically the seats are similar to the "zero-gravity" reclining seats with calf rests in private jets. Very similar styling and comparable level of luxury. The idea is to have the Maybach take you to and from your jet, and likewise a Maybach operated by a livery service at your destination. The two are not mutually exclusive, they are complementary and together provide a continuity in travel experience.

Beautiful, excellent, a vehicle I will get very soon of course with the v12 m279 engine (too bad the torque went down from 1000 to 900Nm, but I guess with a proper tune we will get this back to "spec")

I'd be the driver but with any relationship I'd take a rest🔙 my only issue is seeing the cluster with the steering wheel all the way down. I was thinking about putting it in the area of empty space attached to the column. I like the two-tone 🐲🌊🤙
Why don't make you exterior more beautiful and majestic. Bentley and Rolls Royce have worse interior and technology but they both have better exterior than maybach. At this price, from outside it doesnt look good enough
