I/We need to see the unpainted purchased models for sure! Two videos...one there and a field trip to the other pile of fun too please. (I would also love to see the painted model collection). My unpainted pile is outrageous...because gifts for birthday, Christmas, Mother's Day and the in between few boxes add up quicker than my barely painting procrastination can handle. So far, no regrets, just a collection of army favourites - I am loving variety and rule of cool.
Yeah, after this I think we will end up doing a pile of shame video!

If you were to group Spearheads and Combat Patrols into a challenge video, to try and keep the keys jingling in front of the larger 40k audience you could do 'equivalents'? So, space marines and stormcast for example (which I would assume would be the first), or Lumineth and Aeldari etc. Has the pitfall that if people don't care for the sort of similar aesthetics they might not click but I'd be curious

Regarding the "combat patrol challenge" mentality, I personally don't think the challenges need to be self-abusive. I'm quite happy to see each of you paint one challenging character in a reasonable amount of time. Or a slightly unreasonable amount of characters in a reasonable amount of time.
I think the most important aspect is that you find a way to argue hilariously about the projects you are working on, and I don't think it necessarily has to be a brutally long challenge to get into that lane.
I.E. Big Kieran doing Ultramarines while Normal-Sized-Kieran (NSK) does Thousand Sons would be pretty funny even with small numbers of minifigs, because both of you would be out of your comfort zone and would complain. Then maybe you live-stream play against each other trying to understand the rules for each faction.
Ooooo I like that suggestion! Although painting TSons in a time frame sounds awful...
@RightHandKieran - You need to listen to Savage Weapons (Age of Darkness, Horus Heresy). It involves the Lion and Curze throwing hands and insults at each other and its bloody brilliant.
Think I’ve already done that book, but truthfully can’t remember it. Same for a lot of the Horus heresy books 😅

I haven't bought a codex this edition. As a militarum player wtf would you>? There is great websites that vice better rules layouts and better army building than GW does. I would pay GW for that on a monthly sub, but I can't, so I pirate it instead.
