Ingame mors is most stable if you never recruit Gray Seers. It matches the lore. Queen hates white fur. My understanding is that because he considers himself the supreme rat but cannot really match grey seer magic only with his strength and courage so they continuously remind him of his insecurity. Secondly Queek is bad at politics which disappoints Gnadwell and delays his retirement. Even a clanrat hopes to become a warlord one day. There is no promotion mechanic in basegame. 4. Clan Mors is rich and has abundance of food at most times. Ingame mors doesn't receive any food income bonus. 5. There are few gray seers in mors. Ingame AI Queek hires gray seers despite penalty to loyalty.

my head canon is that the horned rat was a greater deamon of Nurgle wich became so powerful that he broke free of nurgle and because nurgle is such a sweet big geezer, he was fine with it and even gave some of them his great gifts. Think about it, Nurgle has almost all the animals considered vermin in his deamon roster except rats. He has Flies and Mosquitos, snails, maggots, even fricking frogs, but no rats? the most obvious one? I think that is because when the horned rat became independent, he took this domain from him. It also is canon, at least in 40K, that nurgle has some great unclean one locked away because he became so powerful he could spawn his own deamons. Maybe he did not want more of his children to break away from him. Thats how I see it anyway
Perhaps the Horned Rat has some connection to Nurgle? In fact, he has aspects that mimic the other Ruinous Powers as well - perhaps he’s a demon of Chaos Undivided that became powerful enough to rise to the level of a minor deity?

This is the perfect video I've been looking for. I'm just now getting into fantasy and this will teach me a lot of things I need to know and all in one video
When I first played total war hammer 2, skaven were the first faction I played as. They may not have good armor or artillery compared to dwarfs but they make up for it in numbers and diversity in strategy.
The plagueclaw catapults and poison mortars are one of the most powerful artillery in the entire game. You can't fail at killing entire units with them.
@Jéster I managed to save the rest of my army using stormskaven and long range units. The artillery was already destroyed when I realized they weren't firing on the lizardmen.
One Thing I wonder is how the Empire deals with some of their own history that had dealt with Skaven invasions and so forth, with even an Emperor having a namesake like that, and at the same time denying the ratmen exist at all.
All the deaths of that time are attributed to the plague, skavens are like the boogeyman of the empire, so skavenslayer is just considered a nickname. If skavens attack a place more recently, for example the attack on nuln, authorities will make sure to silence any survivor that goes to the next town and talks about it, and even then the others wouldnt believe it and think it was actually beastmen or something.
Queek Headtaker for the win yes-yes! To quote a great reply in my previous comment on Clan Mors video: "If fighting-killing is sure to result in victory-win, then you-you must fight!" - 역병으사

Always preferred the voice of queek in the faction intro cinematic vs his voice in game. The line “I kill dwarf things in pillar city” just sounded so good and menacing compared to the high pitch crack voice we got

The skaven hold a special place in my heart and one of my favorite races in Warhammer lol. Just because when I was 5 and first introduced to Warhammer through a PS1game called Warhammer: Shadow Of The Horned Rat.. they were the first real bad guys I fought besides the orks and goblins. As a kid playing this very u forgiving game. I was terrified having my regiments fight a rat orge for the first time lol. I got recked my first playthrough. Unlike total war your armies really couldn't recover unless you are in a part in a game you can hire more troops that are volunteering to join you mercenary group... and if you loose a unit there gone permanently for the rest of the campaign
I always wonder who that man was who finished the chapel? Why would he do something for the great horned rat, or was he mistakened into thinking it was for the chaos gods? Somehow he finished the tower and lifted a giant bell all on his own in one night and dissapeared(perhaps sacrified himself) just so the vile vermin could exist. But did he know it was to make the skaven and serve the minor chaos god that is the great horned rat, or was he tricked into doing it? Cause I doubt any man, even a chaos worshipper would want the skaven around.
Huge video .... Fan made >> professional made !! Congratulation and thank you for this video. Great work, i like the monotone voice: need to view that another time and perhaps your other videos. Great !!

This is the perfect video I've been looking for. I'm just now getting into fantasy and this will teach me a lot of things I need to know and all in one video
Could you consider making a whole lore video about Elven Kingdoms? Ten Kingdoms of Ulthuan, Athel Loren, Eonir and Naggaroth? That would be wholesome.
Never trust an elf!
Yes-yes, new video-thing. Time to gnaw-eat some snacks and watch.
Thanks to the Book of Choyer making a video dedicated to all these will-be sacrifices to Sotek.
@@ReachStudioPro you can when you forget to guard them and a unit of cold one riders destroy them.
The Dwarves arguably have worse artillery when you factor in the Skaven's mortars & catapults
@Jéster I managed to save the rest of my army using stormskaven and long range units. The artillery was already destroyed when I realized they weren't firing on the lizardmen.
@@vulcranstorm2023 just use ruin magic to spawn clanrats to defend them, skaven are much stronger than dwarf in every way
One Thing I wonder is how the Empire deals with some of their own history that had dealt with Skaven invasions and so forth, with even an Emperor having a namesake like that, and at the same time denying the ratmen exist at all.
History is propably censored.
Clan moulder is the reason I got into warhammer fantasy I love them
Queek Headtaker for the win yes-yes! To quote a great reply in my previous comment on Clan Mors video:
"If fighting-killing is sure to result in victory-win, then you-you must fight!" - 역병으사
I love how Skaven jump back and forth between 80s Saturday morning cartoon villains and nightmare on a snap.
I found your channel because major kill recommended you and I’m glad he did great videos
Major Kill did? That son of a bitch, I missed him XD I'll have to check out where he does recommend us, but hey, thank you so much for letting is know!
Excellent work as always team :) a lovely chance to revisit these great works in preparation for the purging of the warrens to come
Thank you so much for the support!
Which is better? Slaaneshmas or great horned rat day?
WOOOOOOP-----WOOOOOOP!!!
- they are my fav faction! So underrated and horrifying but also adorable. I mean, how can you not smile when you hear them call their telephones "Farsqueekers" (:
I laughed when I heard that because it reminded of how they would call doctors in the Mad Max world an "organic mechanic" XD
All the rats in my house will be pleased to watch this. I hope they're not bring any Warpstone or my house will become Skavenblight.
Anyway thanks for this compilation I can sleep while hearing tales of great skaven clans
I can't help but feel that the Great Horned Rat is just Grandfather's pet hamster.
Clan Skyre, the clan who brought the concept of MAD into the old world.
You put out the best skaven videos. My favorite army.
Cant wait to vanquish all no furs in the name of the Great Horned One! (and of course my fellow Skaven) Ikit Claw is gonna be my first IE campaign for sure
What i want to know about are the Red armored Albino guard that answer only to the council of 13.
they are mute, and they are Skaven, but utterly unlike Skaven.
Watching this has made me get out my old (like early 90's) skaven army book. Gotta love the rat men
Clan pestilence is truly horrifying to me and so cool. Just love the whole plague theme with them and all
I very much enjoyed listening to your video like an audio book while working I love skaven lore and you opened my mind and made me love skaven kin even more ❤️
Yessssssss I love the long videos. In the best praise I have and no insult, I love falling asleep to your lore videos.
No Clan Verminous? Lol Great to have all this in one vid! Thank you guys!
What a shame, that this absolute masterpiece of content gets so little likes and views.
Maybe it would have been better to split the clans into different videos.
But keep it up nonetheless 👍
He did, this is all of those videos put together.
They are! This is just the mash up!
I'm going to say this once Geneva suggestion should be the motto of all skaven
i didnt know the scaven were so skilled and agile . very cool 1:01
I heard games workshop was coming out with a new skaven clan that focused on mind control through delectable food… I think they named it clan ratatouille
Take a drink everytime that damn bell tolls.
I am a Skaven fan. from Bloodbowl to the armies in the 90s. Sadly they have been nerfed since then
skaven teams in bloodbowl were too strong...fast as elves and cheap like goblins...antinatural
I have to say I love your work! It's so much fun to watch your lore stuff even though I'm more a 40k person yes yes ;)
Well, keep your eyes peeled for some new stuff coming then 😉
Too bad there are no skaven in 40k, would be cool.
God, I love clan Mors so much. They are my favourite clan of them all. Fully devoted gang rats that put family first.
"Familia."
Rats... totally up my alley. However, I cannot think of anything that outdoes my enjoyment of Nurgle. Nurgle Rats? Perfect Combination!
14:29 *opens war map and sees his exact icon and location* hey um. He's right there guys.
Really enjoyed this dive in, the background footage gave it a cool edge
"And the greatest evil of clan Eshin, more terrible than all the rest"
Oh, that's the random dude I just crushed turn 2 in my first-ever Total War Warhammer III campaign? lol. He was even in Marching stance.
Two goddamn hours. You guys are awesome.
I have been waiting for a video like this for a long time.
Absolutely enjoy watching your videos! I think the bell tolled 13 times throughout this video. I’ve been a longtime Warhammer, going on 20 years. Your music choices are so good, too! If you wouldn’t mind sharing the name of the song starting at 56:40, that’d be awesome!
Always preferred the voice of queek in the faction intro cinematic vs his voice in game. The line “I kill dwarf things in pillar city” just sounded so good and menacing compared to the high pitch crack voice we got
Guys I don’t think The Book of Choyer will be around for a while. Clan Mors got put in front of one of the Great 4 clans. Clan Moulder will not let this stand!!! Clan Moulder demands a proper payment in warp stone for this insult!!!
Hahahaha you got me there for a second 😂👌🏻
Mors does not serve, Mors RUUUUUULEEEESSSSSSSS 🤟🤟🤟🤟
Beutiful work explaining the skaven clans. Is it possible you coud make a similar video of other factions, like high elves, dwarfs or empire of man?
And I'm certain that the 🐀 will be pleased watching this.
28:30 are those rat guys really inside hamster balls? You know, those little balls you put small mouse-sized animals in to so they can't scurry under the couch and later give gramma a heartattack when they spring forth? I really can't tell what those contraptions are.
Oh man, just stumbled across your channel and I'm definitely coming back for more. Love your vibe.
Please keep this amazing narrator, the best voice ever!!!!!!!!!!!
We do love our resident Saurus
I was praying 🙏 it would be him doing the narration!
This is the greatest warhammer video on the internet
We Often Hear that th Cameraman Never Dies! But Theres Only One who Can Truly be Considered Immortal! The Overhead Micman! He Catches all Conversations on Hot Mic and Makes it Back Home For Beakfast!
Just bought and built the new box for skaventide in aos. FOR THE GREAT HORNED RAT YES-YES!!!
TMW GW actually sponsors a lore channel. Well done.
Wouldn't be surprised if Tzeench was involved with the bell guy
you mean the "grey stranger"? that´s the Horned rat
CLAN ESHIN FTW, no one can step up to the Deathmaster, thats why the Lord Sneek seats next to the Horned Rat
A volume for the great book yes-yes
Do this on every faction jesssus so good
The narrator of Clan Moulder has mad Grand Moff energy
How could anyone hate skaven? They got cute little noses and they talk funny!
“Warpstone is one of the main substances-“
Let’s be honest, it’s the only one they love.
Huge video .... Fan made >> professional made !! Congratulation and thank you for this video. Great work, i like the monotone voice: need to view that another time and perhaps your other videos. Great !!
My favourite part was when the Skaven said "It's Skaven time!" And Skaved everywhere
48:33 he should have mentioned clan molder
Skaven triumphant yes-yes!
Perfect to sleep to Yes-yes !!!! Love the longer lores!
So, what happened to the Skaven, beastmen, and the lizard men between the fantasy setting and 40K
Nothing happened to them as they're different settings. Although you can see traces of Lizardmen as images of Slann are used to refer to the Old Ones. Beastmen on the other hand are a type of abhuman. There's even a named character named (if I remember correctly) Gor Half-Horn.
@@the_corvid97 If I was ever going to get back into TT it would be with a full army of loyalist Beastmen acting as guard/auxillia with tanks and arty and everything.
Weird how in a world where dragons, beastmen, demons, orks and elves exist, the Skaven are dismissed as a myth. XD
Well, many treat beasts and demons as myths too
Its easy to say that because for us all those are fantastic creatures, but imagine if someone approaches you and sais that dragons exist because there are giraffes out there, doesnt sound convincing does it?
@@PoorManatee6197 that dose not make any sense.
We know for a fact there are not flying fire spewing dragons, Giraffes have nothing to do with it.
The Empire went to war with the Skaven, there is no way every single record was destroyed by them, besides the Dwarves know the skaven exist and keep telling humans they exist.
The Empire has no excuse denying the existence of the Skaven and just assuming its always beastmen XD
@@antcow1239 you arent taking into account imperial authorities also work to maintain skavens a secret.
Its not like skaven are an everyday conversation topic between dwarfs and imperials.
I mentioned giraffes as a real world example of your "orcs and beastmen exist so why not skaven?" Logic.
@@PoorManatee6197 Its not like skaven are an everyday conversation topic between dwarfs and imperials.
- Well the dwarves would have evidence, oh and so would the Bretornnians! The Imperials are just willing ignorant.
I mentioned giraffes as a real world example of your "orcs and beastmen exist so why not skaven?" Logic.
- It makes perfect sense, of course there would be talking rat men, we have talking "every other animal" man after all.
I wish there was a movie with you 😊doing the narrative ❤🙋🏾♀️
the vermintide was told in machinations before and in the future of this tale
As Blood tail watch the empire State troops March through the old dwarven road he Howl into moon
As Sergeant Godfrey look on into distance hearing the howl then he realized he was being watch by green glowing eyes
Then the eyes were gone then his horse startled as tree came crashing down in front of them
Then 5 spearman were by order Sergeant Godfrey to pick up the tree then they heard something coming at them as was a huge creature that leaped out of the vegetation
Right at the unprepared spearman as it ripped and teared into him as limbs went flying and screams let blood curl out of their lips
Then sergeant Godfrey charged right at the beast with his steel sword but flipped over him grabbing him with its tail flipping him off the horse
As sergeant Godfrey like went crashing Down then he pulled out his foot lock pistol but creature let out of subsonic howl that damage the ears of Godfrey as he dropped the pistol then he rushed him ripping his head off
. Then the skaven wear rat as towered over the sergeant as spoke you fought well well but now you die die under Clan whertooth
Then he rips Sergeant Godfrey his head off as he took his head back to his pack as blood tail howl to moon once again
You wrote this? Where are you from
@@wraithface4410 where am I from ????? but it's from my HomeBrew tabletop characters who are skaven who got bit by a werewolf In Sylvania and now they're their own Clan called the weretooth's who can turn into werewolf and skaven let's just say they're like the incredible Hawks of the old world of Warhammer sorry if my writing is not that good I'm just starting out and I have a night job and sometimes I write these during my off hours not to mention I got arthritis in my hands so it gets kind of tedious when you write so long
@@donright4492 oh not its good :) just curious maybe I good give some feedback
@@wraithface4410 it's all cool have good day 👍😀
I totally get the Clan Pestilence from a narrative perspective but it makes little sense in view of how Skaven work. Why wouldn't Nurglitch wipe out all of Skavenblight if he had the means? Unless it was a ruse or empty threat.
knowing skaven it was or it was a case of long term thinking ie the loss of skaven blight would weaken skaven as a whole too much
@@Yingyanglord1 Weakened for a few years maybe. The city could be repopulated with Skaven from the Southlands, Skaven who were "loyal" to Pestilence. Their fast reproduction rate would do the rest.
@@heirwolf6929 idk, it's said that the doomsphere built under skavenblight did catastrophic damage to their population that they still haven't recovered. While yes they breed like rats, their lifestyle, wars, and just society has a great attrition that the population gain per year may not be that large. My opinion!
My theory is that he wanted to learn how the members of the council expanded their lifespan.
Skaven with ogres work out insanely well
The Great Clans typify the hallmark themes of the Skaven race: Eshin the subterfuge and wide-reaching influence of the ratmen, Skryre the devilish ingenuity and appetite for destruction of the Horned Rat’s Children, Pestilens the demagoguery and prattling of the faith of the Horned Rat and the disease of the race, Clan Mors the martial aspect of the Skaven’s greatest warriors and the might of Skavendom’s teeming hordes and Moulder the pervasiveness of mutation and monstrousness of the Skaven race.
Hey, we've got a group of shadowy assassins and spys, who is their leader?
How about sneek?
Genius, how'd you come up with that?
One of your best episodes! Top 5 I’d dare to say!
Another great lore from my favs, I enjoy your content even if the lore isn't about nurgle, oh and speaking of nurgle can you do a lore on the beast of the emerald cave please.
What? No clan Rictus? Deploy Deathmaster Snikch yes yes!!
2nd video I've ever seen from this channel and I'm already subbed.
😄👍
Brilliant video clip! Thanks for this video with rich WH40K lore disclosure
awesome work as always 👍
