@powertekusa, I have one of these 5.5w lasers. I have engraved into dyed anodized aluminum, but some colors do not work due to reflection. I could do black, orange, green. Neither silver, nor blue worked at all.

Friend ... I was trying to use the program to test my 550mw laser cutter and the laser light went on ... I hit a metal bar and the room lit ... There's a low-light model botton but it only helps to focus the laser,so can't turn it on for a long time .

You can change the laser module to power board with same voltage,but we are not sure that any laser module buy from other source could be matched.

I found problem on my machine. During engraving around 14% progressive, the machine stopped and unable to control (sometimes laser still on), I need to turn off and on the machine again. What should I do?

i can get the laser head to move in the x and y( using the green buttons) , turn lazer on and off (using the blue buttons), burn border (using the gray button).. But it will not burn the test bmp images..
i have the same machine as you with Benbox v3.3.80 software.
i used te same setting you used n your video as a starting point.

Whats kind of matherial do you use?
Banggood I use wood and leather, but the laser burns the plastic.
My engraver only works in outline no matter what image I try to engrave.

+faisal goldsmith your laser may be disconnected from your computer. try to select your com port from the left pop out menu, if you don't see your com port, try restarting your computer. I also had the same problem and this fixed it.

I'm using BenBox Latest version. (3.7.99) Works GREAT. For designing, I use Inkscape .. since you can't save your work in BenBox.
