You did a good job describing things in detail, outlining the process you used, and what software, what settings and why. You did a great job including the content anyone would really want to see. Not too much fluff, good video length. First video I’ve seen of yours, great job! Got a subscriber out of it.

Thanks for the shared knowledge! I tried a similar project but Lightburn gave me 100 hours before the project was done. We have identical fiber lasers and I used your settings, but 256 passes take a significant amount of time. The only difference was that the beam goes diagonally on your laser while with mine is horizontal.

The tumbler is great. I’ve used one for years. But store the pins and plastic bin off the tumbler. Over time they will magnetize and stop working as well.
Also, occasionally clean the pins by adding a 1/4 tsp of Lemishine Citric acid crystals (Dish washing Isle at the grocer) crystals to the tumble cycle. It will brighten the pins to look like new.
This looks awesome. Going to test this on wood, and if I succeed with this, I am going to think if I want to invest in another laserhead for my S1 to be able to work on brass etc. Really loving this. Thanks for sharing!

Having used various lasers (Trotec, Universal, Epilog) for over a decade, I've also owned an Omtech (AF2820-60w) for about a year now and use it for our business. The machine itself is okay for your typical cheap Chinese model, but the customer service is horrible. If you are just using it for hobby stuff, then I would say an Omtech is fine. Immoral to sell it, imo. Midjourney uses datasets illegally scraped from the internet. So it is in fact stealing from artists. If you're going to make a production item to sell, pay an artist to make a design for you. You'll more than make up your cost anyways if it's a good product..

Hi Justin, awesome video! Is there another laser machine that you would recommend that can provide the wattage needed to do this type of engraving? Thank you for your knowledge and wisdom!
Honestly Im not sure. I guess you could run the speed a bit fast. I keep having issues running too much power and burning the metal so would need to deal with that.
I’ll try your settings and just let it run. “With great power comes great responsibility.” I think I could’ve just went with a 60, but got a 100w mopa for the same price.
Started one of these this morning and couldn't figure out why it was running so slow... Around 60x too slow. Doh! My system was set for mm/min instead of mm/sec.
Personally, I would multiply the power he's using times .6 So, for example, if he's using 50% power on a 60W laser, I'd go 30% for a 100W laser. (50 x .6 = 30) All other settings should be the same.
That’s amazing! My Fiber doesn’t have q-pulse and my frequency only ranges from 40-60.. Would this still be possible? Looking at your settings for that cleanup pass.
