Hey so I really did but I’m having trouble how do I get that special type of Torousthat you had shown in your party when you were showing us the glaryian meoth
You should take a look at the updated shiny sandwich chart. You don't need salty anymore for shiny and encounter power. A recipe has been found for each type that uses any 2 herbas, but uses more normal ingredients.
Tbh, I've always hated that the only way to fully complete the pokedex is through trading since you can't find the starters within the actual region they're from. Version exclusives make sense as it gives the players incentive to buy which ever version has the version exclusive pokemon and characters in them, but why must I have to trade between other people to get more of the starter pokemon? Like, at least make them accessible later on in the game for those of us who don't know anyone with the game/no way of trading for the pokemon. This is why I enjoyed Legend: Arceus's take on completing the Pokedex, where all the pokemon in the dex are available somewhere in the game. Idk, maybe that's just how I feel about the topic. EDIT: So a lot of people don't understand the point I'm trying to make. I think having to trade, use special codes, or using Pokemon HOME breaks the immersion of any pokemon game. I like it when I don't have to rely on external sources to complete the pokedex, which is like. A core feature/goal of literally every pokemon game, aside from whatever the main story is.
You can create a fake account if you have to switches. Or breed and use the trade codes. 0001-0004 0004-0007 0001-0007 I believe and you trade the corresponding dex number for the one you want. Provided you have online.
You don't need nintendo plus I'm pretty sure. Even still it's like $3 a month. Much cheeper than buying a second switch and copy of the game if you do it all in a month
My play through of scarlet took ten times longer then the other games cause I kept swapping in new party members and my excessive grinding to get my team all on equal levels as well as back tracking and constantly getting distracted by items to find. Seriously the game rewards you handsomely for going off the beaten path.
Took me 3 hours to get through the Crater because I kept on getting off track looking for any shinys, I found 2, which is surprising with my luck. Heck I got a shiny Grimer through the wonder box trade in Pokémon home lol

It's a TON of fun. Despite the name: "competitive" you don't even have to go super tryhard. You can play competitively and still play jank. It's one of my favorite things to do.
I am still pretty behind in my Pokedex (147 currently) but I really hope I can get all of them before they patch out the dule method because getting pokemon in beast balls sounds dope
"It's only natural you'll bump into one here and there." Meanwhile, me: has never encountered a single shiny outside of a forced encounter in any Pokemon game ever and has played every gen
Same haha! Been playing since gen 1 and have beat every game multiple times. Thousands of hours and I’ve ran into only 2 shiny Pokémon during Soul Silver runs.
In my Pokemon Violet save file I've actually found Legendary and Mythical catching to be a fun thing to do since I've beat the main game and the DLC. I've done this by meeting up with an NPC named Snacksworth who will give you a snack favored by a past Legendary Pokemon you can find in Paldea just by doing Blueberry Quests at the Terarium. Not only that, but I've also found a secret Meloetta encounter in the Coastal Biome just by standing in a specific spot, spinning for ten seconds, and whipping out the Camera and switching to the sepia filter. PLUS with the special event Tera Raids where you could get Dialga in Scarlet and Palkia in Violet, I have a Palkia of my own! I'm currently working up to having 200 Pokemon in the Blueberry Academy Pokedex so I can have access to Iron Crown and Iron Boulder, the Paradox versions of Cobalion and Terrakion.
In scarlet and violet is a glitch during day time in a spot in area 0 flutter mane spawn but only the shiny version will show up at night shiny and regular flutter mane
I have been pretty up to date with my pokedex, by the time I finished the story I was on 384 pokemon, I've thankfully finished it now but I can't wait to shiny hunt! I found a shiny kelfki but sadly my game crashed before I could save, however I later found a pink jumpluff in area 0 haha.
Haha I battled all the trainers, found all the stakes, took all my classes, leveled my pokemon to 100 manually, read the entire library, collected all the variences of the pokemon (male female differences and color differences and had all the pokedex completed (minus the area zero pokemon) before I went to the elite four. So much just played before I went to end game. Drove my friends nuts. I am working on my living pokedex too.
It depends what type of game you prefer, if you like games were you can get high level pokemon around the start, I'd pick SwSh because of the wild area, if you like challenging games, I'd pick Arceus, and if you like games that the tutorial takes an hour and a half, I'd pick ScVi
For the requirement of 6 star raids, you need to beat 10 5 star raids. can this requirement be completed if you join 5 star raids hosted by others? or do they need to be 5 star raids hosted by you?
I've been trying to find this out as well, so far this seems to be the 1 thing this game is lacking as I can't seem to find something like it in the game at all... Hopefully they are least plan on adding it in with a dlc or something... Kinda sucks having some really powerful perfect Pokemon with no where to fully test their skills before battling online... Seems like they are more focused with online battling..
the battle tower was such a nice way to transition to competitive play online. I miss it. I also miss co-op battle tower but it's been years and years since they had that. I'm willing to bet they will follow and just leave it out for the rest of the games to come.

Do you guys think I should keep it on my team for the rest of my play through of the game?
6:05 Something you didn't mention is that a strategy has been found (probably a glitch) to farm infinite money while mostly afk. It goes as follows. Make sure none of the Pokémon in your party can breed. Go to a large flat area (Asado Desert for example). Turn autosave off. Find one of those sparkling items on the ground. Save in front of it. Get it. Rinse and repeat until one of them is a Star Piece. Restart your game so that you're in front of the item you now know is a Star Piece. Start a picnic with the basket that you get stuff from on top of the Star Piece. Make a sandwich with one helping of bananas, butter, and peanut butter (this is also the recipe for the Great Peanut Butter Sandwich). AFK for about thirty minutes. Rinse. Repeat. Profit.
If you don’t have friends and need the starters do the surprise trades theres a high chance of getting breedjects though you will get a bunch of hacked pokemon.
I unlocked 6* tera raid after i beat a 4* tera raid. Not sure if that was a bug or not. But im not complaining, thanks to that i unlocked 6* tera raids easily.
I have done all of that, I came here hoping to find something else I could do in the game but apparently I’ve done everything that’s possible so now there’s nothing else for me to do, I’ve only played the game for 104 hours. I guess it’s time to move on to the next game.
I'm in the endgame now, traded my koraidon for miraidon, did the ace tournament, caught the 4 legendaries and working on my Pokedex now. Contemplating buying the dlc
Hope you enjoy the video, a like would be amazing if you did!

Yeah, sounds like me! ... like... the kid who doesn't know what they're doing xD
It's a TON of fun.
Despite the name: "competitive" you don't even have to go super tryhard. You can play competitively and still play jank. It's one of my favorite things to do.
So how's it go? Rough competing against the genners with all perfect mons to experiment with
I am still pretty behind in my Pokedex (147 currently) but I really hope I can get all of them before they patch out the dule method because getting pokemon in beast balls sounds dope
What is the method you're referring to if you don't mind me asking
@@nebula8893 I'm pretty sure you can just type it into UA-cam it's like the only dupe method in the game right now
Dupe = ban. Must have not played SwSh
@@MitchxSlapped duping items with a glitch not the same as duping pokemon with hax
5:33 Walking wake was hinted at before the announcement. Huge that the creator picked this image months ago haha.
You said 65 hours like it was a lot
Thanks for the video pdwinnall . Its awesome how do a video and your videos are awesome of Pokémon paldea and Pokémon in general
"It's only natural you'll bump into one here and there."
Meanwhile, me: has never encountered a single shiny outside of a forced encounter in any Pokemon game ever and has played every gen
Same haha! Been playing since gen 1 and have beat every game multiple times. Thousands of hours and I’ve ran into only 2 shiny Pokémon during Soul Silver runs.
Oof, I ran into 3 my first 7-10 hours of playing.
I'm currently working up to having 200 Pokemon in the Blueberry Academy Pokedex so I can have access to Iron Crown and Iron Boulder, the Paradox versions of Cobalion and Terrakion.
i have fallen in love with the shiny garchomp i have in a luxury ball but now i need to grind the dex so i can dupe beast balls for my shinies
Please continue to make these for every Pokémon game
how do you get the other starters?
Trade.
"It is THE pokemon most worthy of a luxury ball" *laughs in Kingambit
Roaring Moon an Flutter Mane are my top two new shinies to catch, way to go! Did you use certain sandwiches or just luck into a full odds shiny?
In scarlet and violet is a glitch during day time in a spot in area 0 flutter mane spawn but only the shiny version will show up at night shiny and regular flutter mane
number 26: go back to school and spy on your friends until you unlock their bedrooms
Do you have a video on best way to lvl post game?
There's a chansey farm you can do near the top of the map, near the team star fairy boss. Other than that, just try and get candies from tera raids.
I enjoyed the video, against #25. I'm near maxing out my pokebox because of breeding lol
You don't need to do 5 star raids, you can mix it between 4 and 5 star raids and still unlock 6/7 * raids
Ya I only did 4 star raids the 5 star are hard for me but that's probably because I don't have online so I don't have people to play with.
@ do you EV and IV train your mon? 5 stars should be super easy if your mons are 75+
@ForestManagement oh? So it only fell solo because I lost or just taking time. I did not knew the npc don't count that's cool.
Anailape with bulk up drain punch and rage punch and screech will one shot most raids and also heals itself to stay alive
Is so weird I got recommended this video after I had finish the game
Haha I battled all the trainers, found all the stakes, took all my classes, leveled my pokemon to 100 manually, read the entire library, collected all the variences of the pokemon (male female differences and color differences and had all the pokedex completed (minus the area zero pokemon) before I went to the elite four. So much just played before I went to end game. Drove my friends nuts. I am working on my living pokedex too.
That's how my fience is playing lol I ended up trading my box legendary using a trade code so I could get the shiny charm. She didn't like that.
U can use trade codes to get the version exclusives from violet
Finished the full story, and haven't encountered a single natural shiny 🙃
I guess were just unlucky
Just got swirch and only have enough for one game. Swsh ScVi or arceus ?
It depends what type of game you prefer, if you like games were you can get high level pokemon around the start, I'd pick SwSh because of the wild area, if you like challenging games, I'd pick Arceus, and if you like games that the tutorial takes an hour and a half, I'd pick ScVi
My only complaint in an otherwise great video is that you said "Naran-JA" instead of "Naran-HA" at 2:22
I have a team containing the box legendaries, dialga, palkia, rayquaza and regigigas
For the requirement of 6 star raids, you need to beat 10 5 star raids. can this requirement be completed if you join 5 star raids hosted by others? or do they need to be 5 star raids hosted by you?
you can just beat 10 raids of any star.
yes, you can go to poke portal and beat any 5star raids online and it still counts, even the event ones.
6:00 Mela just summons a pokeball into her hand from thin air
Is there anywhere to do double battles IN GAME (other than that 1 gym)? Similar to like the battle tower???
I've been trying to find this out as well, so far this seems to be the 1 thing this game is lacking as I can't seem to find something like it in the game at all... Hopefully they are least plan on adding it in with a dlc or something... Kinda sucks having some really powerful perfect Pokemon with no where to fully test their skills before battling online... Seems like they are more focused with online battling..
the battle tower was such a nice way to transition to competitive play online. I miss it. I also miss co-op battle tower but it's been years and years since they had that. I'm willing to bet they will follow and just leave it out for the rest of the games to come.
I have a feeling i will need to be revisting this video 😂
1:15 like I would have those 😂
Also I’ve played for 60 hours and have tried shiny hunting for while and only found 1 shiny, and it wasn’t even from a shiny hunt
ive been trying to complete a living pokedex with all the different forms, including the different gender forms. It makes it worth it grinding for rare pokemon like the three abdomen dundunsparce
Great Video
So glad you’re back m8 xx
Training a perfect team for competitive singles and doubles 👍🏼
btw u don’t need specifically salty for lvl3 sparkling power you can use two spicy or whatever you have more of
Don't need salty for the sparkling power but you do need it for the encounter power which is just as important!
@@PDWinnall nah you don't need it for encounters either but you have to use more ingredients like onion, green pepper, tomato, burger, 2 ingredients for specific type (look it up) and 2 of any herba mystica. But this might be new information from when you posted that lol
Awesome video, cheers man!
With nine you can also get the kitikami dlc and Johto wooper is one of the first Pokémon you can get
If you breed Quagsire, you sadly only get paldean wooper again
Edit: same with galarian meowth/it's evolution
Give it an everstone and it will be Johtonian
@@Che1ito okay, I'm gonna try it. Let's see if you're for real or trolling xD
Edit: It actually worked, thanks a lot!!! ^^

My copies of Elden Ring, Arceus and Breath of the Wild: Are we jokes to you? Neurotically playing Violet and Scarlet at the same time and it can be exhausting. Hope Pokemon Home will be accessable soon to help myself get all the 400 Pokemon if I can't find enough people to help out with that. Amazed there's so much post game stuff to do.
Complete the Paldea Pokédex
Palafin: *I’m about to end this man’s whole career.*
3:47 you can also get dna splicers if you have the unova legendaries
What do those do?
@TheMannalKidsyt they allow you to combine kyurem with either zekrom or reshiram

make sure to go back to the school and talk to your friends and unlock their bedrooms. it gives some nice insight into each of their characters and has some fun moments
I filled my pokedex up completely yesterday UK time :D
Being honest, Shiny Umbreon is better then shiny roaring moon. Roaring is a second place for my favorite shinies.
Every in game day? And here I thought the Auctions refresh every 24 hrs😅
I’m close to the end and this help
so for me, it's find and capture all legendries on the map, complete all relevant lessons in the academy for the rewards, complete the Academy Ace Tournament with said captured legendries and that is pretty much it for relevant stuff for me, want to continue paying Pokémon brilliant diamond 😁 after this haven't played the series in a while did have a lot of fun playing scarlet tho
Just a P.S. Naranja Academy is called Uva Academy in Violet version.
So quick story, I got the game on Christmas, after about an hour of playing, I hadn’t completed any story things yet i was on my way to the first gym, when I randomly just found a shiny nymble, I was just grinding xp and I just stumbled across it, no modifiers, shiny charm or anything. Do you guys think I should keep it on my team for the rest of my play through of the game?
Yes
can I just say how much cooler Scarlet’s Naranja academy sounds to Violet’s Uva academy
7:10 I had 100 hours after the first week of me having it and it was during Chrismas.
Rinse.
Repeat.
Profit.
The stuff you were gonna do/already did anyway and also learn you can rebattle team star bosses
Austin John Plays has a list of trade links for Scarlet for Violet exclusive trades
If you don’t have friends and need the starters do the surprise trades theres a high chance of getting breedjects though you will get a bunch of hacked pokemon.
theres some codes used specifically for trad8ng region exclusives in scar/vio btw!
my partner finds it adorable how you say terra raids
I unlocked 6* tera raid after i beat a 4* tera raid. Not sure if that was a bug or not. But im not complaining, thanks to that i unlocked 6* tera raids easily.
I actually did most of the school lessons before I entered post-game
same
I have done all of that, I came here hoping to find something else I could do in the game but apparently I’ve done everything that’s possible so now there’s nothing else for me to do, I’ve only played the game for 104 hours. I guess it’s time to move on to the next game.
I'm in the endgame now, traded my koraidon for miraidon, did the ace tournament, caught the 4 legendaries and working on my Pokedex now. Contemplating buying the dlc
1:01 you can do this before post game
Not 6 star raids only lowet
