Is there any documentation for the Sandwiches and optimal ones for each type? Also any documentation you used on where to get all ingredients? Would be nice to have
@@schlemmes8592 I have a table in the video with the ingredients you need @ 19:47
There are 3 man ingredient stores: Sure Cans, Artisan Bakery, and Deli Cioso
These are in Mesagoza, as well as many other towns, and can get you everything on this list except Herba.
There's one more store called "Acquiesta Supermarket" which has a couple of the rarer ingredients (Curry Powder, Wasabi, Horseradish). This is in the Electric Gym city. Zoom in on the map and you find it.
@ Ty man!
Thanks, Time Stamp Guy! Wait...
In game time cycle skipping is possible if you close your game time skip in settings then open again, the time cycle is 72 minutes I think 6 mins dawn, 30 mins day, 6 mins dusk, 30 mins night
"You can beat the game in any order you want! Now here's how you SHOULD beat it!" It really is a shame about the lack of scaling though
i don’t really understand this mindset, what would be the point of getting stronger if the levels scaled? it wouldn’t be very gratifying
As the game stands you can be fighting level 13 gym leader pokemon as your eighth gym.
You could do scaling in specific ways which would make the game flow a lot better and mean you could ACTUALLY do the game in any order, like they promised.
I ended up forgetting about the Artazon gym, so naturally I had a very anticlimactic last gym battle.
Sure you can go overboard with scaling and make leveling a moot point, but there has to be a happy medium between "wow why did I bother grinding" and "your final challenge is to defeat this team of two unevolved level 15 pokemon"
@@uncleasmo657 the issue with this would be that then you could beat all 8 gyms without ever going past level 20
@@djrobocop1000 that’s not how level scaling works, as you gain a gym badge all the next badges available would increase their level so no matter what the first gym you do is let’s say level 13 for whichever you start with and your last gym whichever is left would be level 50
People say there is no need to make a sandwitch or whatever to get eggs but I waited for half an hour with an Eevee and a Ditto and NOTHING happened, so I made a sandwitch with the Egg Power and I instantly started to get eggs in the basket, like... 10 in only 5 minutes, so I would suggest for people to make it.
it's different per pokémon, i had to wait a while to get larvitar eggs with egg power level 1 sandwich.
And starters, too.
can kind of confirm the same with my Meowscarada (starter). First tries: Without sandwich - waited forever. With sandwich (egg power lv. 1) - six eggs in like ten minutes.
Second time with sandwich: only berries (I didn't know you could get them in the basket?)
I wonder if it has to do with location too or if it was just random? First time was on open field near Mesclarra, second time under a tree right outside Mesalona City.
It's full of aphrodisiac ig lol
Dem bananas really does something for them
Those people are either ignorant or just want to hinder you ..
One important playthough thing, one time use items like weakness policy or focus sash now regenerate after you finish a battle, so if you were to put an air ballon on a pokemon and it was popped in battle, the ballon will still be on the pokemon after the battle.
Thanks. Was looking for any info on this
Does that also happen with berries? I've found a few, but haven't used them since I haven't found a way to grow more.
Huge W tbh
That's such a needed thing. Why did it take till now?
@@samreddig8819 they were meant to be one time use. Not reusable.
Another thing to note about TM's is that once taught to a pokemon, they can be remembered so you can experiment movesets without going through a bunch of TM's
This is mentioned already on the video
@@LongLiver Weird, I don't remember hearing it when I put the comment in, but I do hear it mentioned now.
That’s awesome!
:0
I really hope they make wild shinies have the sound and sparkles. That was always fun in Arceus. Even for just noticing "shinies" that are not even shiny * cough * Elekid
also Garchomp.
Rip colorblind people in these games
It would drive me crazy hearing the sound and not being able to find it, because it spawned in the wall of a cave. Seriously, try ZR in a cave and look around. So many are trapped in the walls, it's scary.
Same here, I thought so many Pokémon were shiny because this is my first pokemon game since black. So i got no idea about region pokemon or any of the new ones.
One of my favourite tiny things is that Ultra Balls are finally worth buying now! They've had their cost lowered to ¥800 to match their effectiveness over a Great Ball.
I never thought they weren't worth it. I just pony up anyway.
good because great balls are so much better bang for your buck.
they are only worth it till you get access to quick balls and then pretty much every ball becomes irrelevant at that point. Unless you are doing tera raids and want to pass the pokeball down. That said unfortunately you can't tell the gender of the pokemon tmk during a tera raid
I always thought they were worth it. Max repels though? I stopped buying those in like emerald lol
You are such a G for this dude. I’m a Pokémon veteran like most people here but going into new games always makes me feel like a noob. Having this info is a massive help. Subbed.
I’m in the same boat 🙌🏼
I've never seen someone explain things so well and concise while getting to the point and not rambling on. Thank you so much for this!
Just experimented with relearning moves. For anyone who doesn't already know, if you use a PP Up on a Pokémon's move, then exchange that move for another move, when you go back to relearn the PP Up increased move, it will revert back to its original number of uses.
That's normal u wasted time and in game money for something that has been known since move relearning was introduced
@@wolfbrother9025 *golf clap* and the award for being the most patronizing troll (to someone just trying to be helpful) goes to~! 🙄 the irony of how useless your comment is in accusing another comment of being a waste is just too rich. P.S. Their comment has 30+ likes, yours has none.
@@Lilacs4 he literally did something 10 yr old me did when they first did move relearning if a child can figure it out adult shouldn't need to explain it
@@wolfbrother9025 bros mad because this guy didn’t know💀
This is a perfect guide! I had to watch 5 videos that had "tips" but were just recycled info that sounded like they read off Wikipedia... before finding your content which is the really good stuff. You can tell you did your research and have experience. Thanks man!! 🤘
I'm new to the franchise in relation to how long the francise exists (started with Arceus) so I'm sad they don't show the shinys as clearly. The first one I ran into was a shiny Marill which I only recognized because it was bright green instead of blue. It's not so easy with some of them where the color differs only a little bit. But the tip for saving right when you see one, and the fact you can "check" for shinys by sending your pokemon out to see if it fights them, is really helpful! I'll definitely use that going forward.
I love the part where Jefé tells us not to focus on the legendary path but then you can see on the map, he did all but one of the titans before even getting to the 2nd gym 😅
He telling us to learn from his mistake
@@Doomblud Yeah I know. Still made me laugh to see.
On a serious note, I wouldn’t call it a mistake. If you want to actually explore the regions as you complete your objectives, it’s definitely best to focus down the Path of Legends first
I am SO thankful for proper competitive training being so much more accessible!!! I have been obsessed with Pokémon since I was little, but realizing how garbage I was at competitive, and how time consuming it was to build a legit team, I basically gave up on Pokémon training. But this changes everything!! There is actual hope that I can survive. Thank you for making this to help explain everything.
I got through the whole game without any spoilers. I saw the trailer with lechonk, and the box legendaries, but I knew literally nothing else about the game. Definitely made for a more enjoyable experience
My man posted tips WITHOUT SPOILERS AND PUT TIMESTAMPS IN HIS CHAT!!!!! GET THIS MAN A MEDAL!!!!!!!
Papá Jefe is the closest we get to a Pkmn Professor! The way he explains and covers things . . Get this man a lab coat!! Also i waited to get the jump for the ride pkmn and caught a lvl 19 Riolu and that will be with me until i get a shiny one
More like the closest we get to a Pokemon papa.
No, Norman doesn't count. Mofo had us stuffed in the back of a moving truck
I caught one before getting to the school by starting an encounter in area 4 and teleporting over there from area 1 early 😂
Really an amazing video. Thank you for all the guides and overall for being such a positive force in this community
Dude, you are a fucking legend. I had NO CLUE about the egg move thing in SwSh and now in SV.
This is exactly what I needed, thank you so much for making this!
I keep saying this but you are by far my favorite Poketuber content creator and streamer. Your voice is majestic and your kind heart and friendship is everlasting. Your videos just keep getting better and better every time. Keep up the great work my dude!!!! I can't wait to see a video with that silver and gold play button!
Hey thanks brother, very kind of you to say o7
Jefe, the vid quality is improving massively, the way you present, give suggestions etc. great to see!
Thank you so much for making this video, ive had so many questions about the game but didn't wanna look up anything out of fear of spoilers so I really appreciate this, liked and subbed
Amazing to see you put in the terrain skip, I figured it out on my own in my first play through but it def needs to be shown off!
Very thankful for this video, as I've just begun my playthrough and was having trouble as a casual looking through all the new and open-world stuff. Subbed!
This is a very useful and informative video. I got the game recently and just have 2 gym badges, so I appreciate this video a lot. It's just a bonus that you didn't spoil the game for me too!!! Thank you!!!
The amount of detail and work you put in to this video is amazing
20 minutes went by like that. very entertaining and well put together. you are very skilled
I picked this up to play while waiting for Engage, haven't played a new Pokémon game since Black. Feeling totally overwhelmed, it's a lot, so thanks for the video.
You really put in the time and effort. And are really clear on your information. Love this
This video is super helpful and the quality is awesome. This channel is going places. I see it already.
GREAT video! Super informative and concise in an easy to digest way!
Great video bro! Looking forward to your SV content!
I know this video is old but it's nice to see what HAS been implemented since the launch. Item Printer makes it really simple to get Ability Patches and Capsules in abundance, especially if you're just trying for other items, so it saves me time from doing raids. Though, now I'm sad I was selling them after shiny hunts when I could have saved them!!!
Still no rusty bottle cap though, but the IV judge function CAN be accessed earlier in game, but not the same game. It's a lot of extra steps, but since Pokemon Home is available for a basic plan for free, you can still check their IV values this way. I was doing this for nearly a year before I actually sat down and finished the game. Also with the DLC, you can get a Reset Mochi (it's white like the punching bag in super training was) to reset IVs. So yeah, there really isn't one concise way to access all of this free-to-play but it is out there.
using this guide after beating the game, thank you!
Amazing spoiler free guide. Thanks so much! Gotta go beat this story mode
Had NO idea about this egg move thing, that's amazing!! But also feel like I might have missed shinies since I was expecting the sound effects and sparkle!!
100% agree with you 5 item wish list. but especially the first 4 because the 5th one is a dream that we’ll keep dreaming, the other 4 are actual good QOL changes that should happen… and IMO should have happened in this gen. especially the EV resetting WITHOUT berries that was unfortunately locked behind paid DLC in SwSh
Thank you for this! I flew through my first playthrough for the story and now I’m doing to do a “real” playthrough and actually take my time and enjoy the game and invest in all the mechanics
Holy cow, single most useful video for this game. Thank you. Also thanks for putting "spoiler free" in the thumbnail, otherwise I would've skipped it for now since I'm not quite 100% through the story.
I haven't hunted shinies in SV (yet), but I've gotten one full odds shiny. I was walking through a field and whoa that Skwovet is red.
Also, 🤯 I had no idea about egg move passing in either SwSh or here. Mildly annoying since I just finished breeding for an egg move when I could've transferred it quicker.
Great video! This is the first Pokemon game I've ever played so I still confused as heck but this did clear up a lot of stuff.
EV Reducing berries are actually purchasable in bulk quantities of 50+ at the auction house.
yeah but its random, so you can't get the ones you want when you need em
Really good video man, thanks ✨
I'm so new to this Pokémon but thank you so much for the tips. These are so so helpful.
I’m still new so this video went over my head haha but I’m sure it’ll be very useful in the future. Thank you!
(I tend to play this game to get the best team and get all the Pokémon haven’t tried delving into comp but would be open to it)
Thank you SO MUCH for this and for keeping spoilers to a minimum! I'm taking my time through the game but have been curious about how Terra works exactly, how Shinies work, ect
I havent played a pokemon since the black and white series. Scarlet is the first new game i've picked up and i feel so new to everything again (especially the new pokes and fairy type).
Thank you for this
Super helpful and elaborate guide. Good stuff
thank you for the helpful tips! the one about the sandwiches really helped me, cus i didn't know you could breed in this game nd i was really excited when i started doing it! :D
you are now my favorite pokemon guy. thank you very much. i will watch this video quite a few times. to learn all this information. This will be the first pokemon i hard core complete and compete with. im excited!
Just got the game for Christmas. Started today. This video is perfect. Liked and subbed. Thank you.
Thank you so much, I had no idea about the milestones inside the dex!!! Appreciate you
Well I’ll be watching this video about 10 more times over the coming weeks as I jsut got into Pokemon Violet! Thank you for all of this. Liked/subscribed
Wow that was a buttload of incredibly useful information stuffed into a 20 minute video. Thank you.
very informative, thank you. your guide just pop up from my random video. I was just about to start the game and this vid was amazing. earned my sub. i hope your will be noticed sometime soon so that your channel will grow! thank you
such a great video, as always, thank you mate
Wow, this is so much great information! Thank you.
I’ve been considering buying this game, and have been curious about all the new things since I haven’t been keeping up with Pokémon. Thanks for the tips!!
Finally! I was waiting for this banger of a video. Thanks papajefe!
My first time seeing your stuff, but the UA-cam Spirits sent you my way. THANK YOU for doing this video with NO SPOILERS. I won't even look anything up about this game because no one seems to give a crap about spoiling stuff anymore. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. This was excellent material, and I am grateful.
Wow!!! I legit learn a lot in this video!! Ty for that amazing video bro!
Thanks for this, super good info all in one place
I have learned from this video that once you teach a TM, you can relearn it with all the other level up moves if you delete it at some point.
I would like to add to the egg move thing, you don't need to spend any time. Start picnic, end picnic, move was learned.
I love this I watched this after I completed game and I still learned multiple things. Good Job :]
I just bought pokemon violet and played maybe an hour and I love it so far. After watching this video I'm absolutely shocked with how much has been added to the games. I haven't played any pokemon games since r/b/y and g/s/c originally came out over 20 years ago. I'm using emulators to revisit those as well as to get the chance to play the games I was never able to but I didn't want to wait to dive into this one.
Sir your really good at what you do. I beat the game end game have every pokemon. But I still love seeing people have there own interactions and what they say. I love this video you even game me a few tips in the beginning. Ty
Thanks for this. I just got the game for Xmas, and it was really helpful!
this is definitely the best video i’ve seen for new players. thanks!
Just joined. Love your clarity and detail. I often leave a video with questions and wanting to know more related things. You killed it all in one video. As much as i appreciate it maybe it hurts overall channel viewership because then everyone is only watching one video not 3 or how ever many. Just a thought. But i do appreciate you.
The good news is that I think this video did so well is because its so long, and people watch most of it.
Its one of my best performing videos ever in terms of watch time, views, and revenue.
The UA-cam algorithm loves videos that keep people's attention, and I personally prefer making things like this... rather than stretching one piece of info out to 8-10 minutes.
Awesome thank you so much for all the INFO!
this vid is just what i needed!! THANK YOU
🤯NO FREAKING WAY!
I thought the egg moves we're just something I missed out on.
So happy to learn that it isn't. I've got so many pokemon to change up now.
Thanks Papa Jefé!
subbed! super informative and beautifully presented facts
Thanks for lettin' me know.
This video is amazing, thank you so much!
I Never Knew That About Egg Moves. Omg Thank you!
Very informative. Subscribed!
If your interested, Nuzlocke University has the level caps for all of the badges so you can understand the way to progress if your like me and feel lost without direction (even tho the pokestops give direction)
First 20+ minute youtube video that has held my attention the entire time, great video, great info. Time to go play some Pokemans 😎
Thanks for this video! I was totally clueless about this game. I hadn’t played a Pokémon game since Blue. 😅
I just jumped over that little cliff thing with my bike thing, nice trick to warp though!
Really good video. I'm not interested in shiny pokemon hunting, but I understand why people do -- that pretty blue shiny impidimp I randomly found made me feel so good. And I hadn't known about the pokedex rewards.
To my knowledge picnicking is mainly for trying to find specific types of pokemon right?
Anyways, you just earned a sub. Looks like good stuff hete
Fantastic video thanks for the info !!
this is the best summary of the new stuff i have seen
thx youtube for showing me this video. liked and subscribed!
This has been the only truly helpful comprehensive "tip I wish I knew before" vid I ever saw. And no spoilers? It's enough to make a grown man cry.
Im gonna sub this is a great channel! hard work but still making the game fun.
Hi papa, you talked little about autobattles and i think there are a couple of things important like: schyter lose flying when you evolve it to scizor and you cant use it anymore on the sea to auto so getting a flyin poke at the start and keep it is a great advice imho, cheers
Thx my dude, the best guide 💪!!
lol I found that trick at 3:14 myself, too. Managed to capture a scyther that was just low enough to obey me and a bunch of other pokemon, which gave crazy exp and strong pokemon early on.
great video man, liked and subbed!
Your so talented oh my gosh you are the G.O.A.T for this man
Really Good stuff! Thanks! 💫
Just a quick note for 5:28 (hope it helps ) - We Competitives on the Circuit like to just label the verb as ''Tera ('d / 's)''. So: ''yeah, my Fairy type Tera'd into a Steel type mwhahuahaha!1''
🤯 Yup, had no idea you could transfer egg moves. That's amazing.
Actually, I've found that you CAN change the auction items.
The trick is that you have to close your game THEN change the date and load back in, the items will have refreshed. For some reason it doesn't work if the game is still running. But I skipped ahead 5 days and got new items every time until I got a Cracked Pot for my Sinistea. Only to find a Chipped Pot near one of the shrines 20 minutes later of course, but still 🤦♂️😆
Great video. Anyone unfamiliar with just how much is going on within any Pokemon game would likely feel overwhelmed with what to do, can't recommend enough that people actually do the classes at the Academy if they're a beginner player, as they go over some seriously helpful stuff.
Also a stupid thing I noticed is that I traded Pokemon with my partner for items when we only had 2 badges and when they returned, they counted as TRADED Pokemon despite having our Trainer IDs assigned to them, so they stopped obeying us until we got more badges. Definitely frustrating for sure 😓
Holy crap you went over alot of information. Thanks for all that.
I had no idea that they keep their original STABs if they terastallize to another type. That's extremely useful info!
I just got scarlet today. Thank you good sir. Its pausing as im watching this video
I saw you walking during the mirror herb part. Unlike the other games, it is instantaneously learned upon entering a picnic. No walking required.
For sale auction items in Porto marinada, you can force them to change/update. Clear current auction items by either buying or forfeit, save and and change ONLY the time by 2hrs. When you start the game up they will have different items, and best part is, if you don't see what you want just restart there and upon loading they'll have different items.
