Mutton Biryani Recipe | Hello Ginger Style

  • This recipe is for Tamil Nadu style mutton biryani, where the different spices and herbs are first ground to release all their flavors (super important step to retain the authenticity), then sauteed and cooked with the mutton and to produce a flavorful biryani.
    Ingredients:
    For Biryani Masala:
    Cinnamon - 5 gram
    Cardamom - 5 gram
    Cloves - 3 gram
    For Biryani:
    Mutton - 500g (with Bone)
    Basmati Rice - 2 Cup (300g)
    Ghee- 3 Teaspoon
    Cooking oil - 3 Tablespoon
    Onion - 2 Medium (sliced)
    Green Chilli - 1(Large)
    Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 Tablespoon
    Tomato - 1 Large (chopped)
    Coriander - A Handful
    Mint Leaves - A Handful
    Chilli Powder - 2 Teaspoon
    Coriander Powder- 3 Teaspoon
    Biryani Masala - 1 Teaspoon (which we grinded)
    Curd - 2 Tablespoon
    Salt - 2 Teaspoon
    Water - 1 1/2 cup
    Lemon Juice - 1 Teaspoon
