- Check out my new demo which I wrote in collaboration with my brother Richard Grech, It's called Pocket Groove
This is a promotional video for Yamaha TRBX 504, which in my opinion is a very versatile bass, with a comfortable neck and light-weight. The pick-ups grab your style of playing sharply. I've recorded it through the flagship bass amp from tc electronic blacksmith , which has an amazing sound and in my opinion , you dont need to struggle to get the sound you want to hear and stays very defined all the way, hope you like it , enjoy, comment and subscribe

Great tone and groove, man! :)
+Erik Arkö 10x bro :)
Very cool tune and good playing. I have a 304 and thinking of upgrading.
I have this bass, but in 5 string version, it is trbx 505. It sounds amazing. I like 3 band EQ on it and low B string is very good for 34" scale bass. 18mm string spacing is perfect. I may one day upgrade, but I do not need to.
Nice one mark! Sounds great...
10x Phil appreciate it mate 😉
Your playing is actually kinda inspiring! Keep it up
Thanks a lot man !

Sweet tune Mark and Richard!! I have a TRBX504, it is very versatile, ergonomic, sounds awesome, looks great, good quality build, and very affordable...I love it. If I had of tried one out when I was starting off I don't think I would have bothered buying other basses.
Thanks man appricaite your kind words!
@@markgrech2328 Hi Mark....I am addicted to this video and interested to buy a Bass..Which is best TRBX 304 or 504? please suggest
Great technique and I like the sound you got with all the different Yamaha basses, I like Yamaha as brand, specially for basses, they're built for comfort, and always sound good, even the cheaper ones.
The music you make is nice too!
SNTOSN thanks for watching and your kind comments glad you like it 😉

Now That's how you treat a lady.👊🏽
Hey Mark, awesome playing & catchy melody! How much of the sound is the bass vs. the TC Electronics? Thinking of getting this bass! :
Hi ! Thanks for watching and for ur kind words 😀, the sound i would say is 50 50 both from the amp and the bass and compression helps a lot also ,i would suggest for you to try it , its very versatile, lightwieght and comfortable , i would recomand this bass for any style and any type of bassplayer ..
Hi Mark..Great video ..I am addicted to this video..I have bought the same model yesterday,, Do you have a tuorial lesson video or tabs for this solo ? possible..Thanks
Hi Sam sorry for the late reply ,you made a good choice on buying the bass, they're great basses .regarding tabs I'm sorry but I don't have tabs for this, thanks for watching !!
@@markgrech2328 Hi Mark, Thanks for you reply..does the bass has fret buzz? The one I bought had fret buzz, so I returned it..
@@SamDtuned could be that it just needs a setup ( neck adjustment , string height etc) .I would suggest to give it a good setup and it should be fine.
@@markgrech2328 Hi Mark, They tried in the shop I purchased in Porto, buy action was high and I felt uncomfortable and returned it, Iam thinking of buying bb234 . what you suggest ? Trbx504 vs BB234 ?
Hi Mark, its me again, Paul... Last quick question, I seen the TRBX 304 as well and sounds pretty nice, your opinion about the TRBX 304? Let me know if you test it already, thanks in advanced! Regards, Paul
The 304 is very similar to the 504 bit has a different premap / knobs to control your tone and different pickups but the body contruction is pretty much the same , you have 4 swicth sound selector , which is bassically gives different pickup configurtaions , for slap sound , pick sound , fingerstyle sound , and everthing blended together , its a nice bass too , and neck and comfortabilty is just as good ad the 504 , but again DO NOT buy a bass until you have played it , see how it feels and if it works for you ...
+Mark Grech
Thanks for your input....
I seem to recall hearing the Yamaha TRBXs are somewhat superior in "build quality" than the equally priced Ibanez SR basses.
Any thoughts?
Hey thanks for watching, to be honest im not very familiar with ibanez basses , but as for the trbx i can say , that they are solid basses , stable necks , light wieght , and very balanced aswell , its a really good run for your buck i guess, being that they are very affordable...
How's the neck/fingerboard on that bass? Is it easy and fast or is it difficult like classic jazz basses?
no its a fast slim neck very easy to play
Hi Marc:
My name is Paul, passing by to say hi and look for some advise. I'm planning to start play some Jazz and Blues, I am in a middle of a cross road, I want to buy either a Yamaha BB424X or this Bass Guitar the TRBX 504, based on the information I would appreciate you input and advise.
Regards,
Paul
Hi paul both of them are great basses and gd value for money it depends on what works for you the trbx have a modern type of sound and the bb is kind of a hybrid , you can get a classic vintage tone and a modern sound too , if you use both pickups of the bb it s a modern type of sound and if you switch to the neck pickup which is the presicion pickup u get a motown vintage type of sound , i suggest you go try both of them and then decide.

Great video Mark. Please do more. Just don't send any Tabs of your playing. Guys can learn more by using their ears and transcribing your playing instead of having it fetched on paper 🐳
thanks for watching :) , and for your kind comments !! i intend to do more videos! thanks agian :)
Any tabs or song's name exist?
Its called pocket groove ,10x for watching!! , i dont have tabs but maybe i could send you an instrucional video and slow things down when i have time 😉
Mark Grech can you send me instructions or tabs?
hi raul thanks for watching my video unfortuntly i dont now how to do tabs for slap bass, maybe when i have a chance i can slow things down and send a
video.. thanks again
Thanks Mark. Your groove and sound is awesome!!!
Hace poco he adquirido este bajo y trastea infernalmente, no sé si he tenido mala suerte o el bajo es una porquería, lo he llevado varias veces a luthier y no ha manera de que suene bien.
