I’ve had mine for a couple years. There are other great basses out there but everything you get in this bass for the price of half a grand, I don’t know why this doesn’t get more love than the others. Sure you could have an Optimus Prime of a bass for $1500+ but this rig feels, plays and runs the gamut for most of anything you’d play for a freaking great price point.
My 2 Cents you’re right, there’s a lot of other Basses but Yamaha TRBX505 is one and only for sound/price, and the low B sounds good, that’s really important

Just in case anyone is wondering....the EQ is off in passive mode. Only the bottom button works in passive...it acts like a tone control. The two other eq buttons are inactive.

love that bass,great demo the neck pup sounds very much like a P bass,and the bridge pickup has a very unique tone too.

Update: I’ve purchased this bass a few years ago(sorry for the late reply) and it sounds phenomenal. It’s definitely one of my most treasured bass guitars

When I told some other bassists that I was going to buy TRBX505, they were against it whilst not knowing the bass. For the price, it's a steal. The versatility and quality is impressive. I love it so much.
Never trust other bassists 😅 jealousy and other human factor detected) trust your ears and heart - that’s the best way to choose. And you’re absolutely right, for his price it’s perfect bass
I wonder why, I told my bassist friend I was gonna get it, and he told me to better get a fender
@@onrode It may be because of brand bias as Fender is the bigshot in making guitars and basses. If one day Fender decided to sell motorbikes, other people would tell you to buy a Yamaha instead. Even though the quality might be good.
@@onrode cause he thought that fender is better, don't listen to anyone - if he told you to jump from the roof would you jump? that's the same shit, so listen to yourself, and forget about other "friends"

It's a 34" Scale and string spacing at the bridge is 18mm

Насчёт звона на ладах - всегда можно поднять струны выше, но теряется удобство игры, незначительные звенящие призвуки допустимы

Daniele Dioli hello! When I use that bass for demo I don’t hear any troubles, for that price it’s a good one
I.M.O. it sounds better/more consistent with a tapered low B string from D'Addario. The factory uses normal string, but tapered string cleaned up the intonation and clarity and improved the string tension. Tapered works better with this style of bridge saddle.
Хороший бас, удобный? Пока о Ямахах слышал только хорошее. Выбираю между TRBX 505 и BB435.
Валентин Эдуардович по удобству нареканий нет, больше зависит от вкусов музыканта. Как по мне, TRBX имеет более модерновое звучание и вид, а BB классика характерного ямаховского звучания.

В связи с этой паникой насчет повышения курса доллара, боюсь, что пока собираю на что-то более дорогое, оно все подорожает, и у меня вообще ни на что не хватит - поэтому заказывать придется через интетрнет, не щупая лично. Что бы Вы выбрали из предложенных вариантов: Yamaha TRBX505 или Warwick Rockbass Corvette $$5? Сильно они хуже будут по качеству, чем FGN Mighty Jazz или Fender Player Precision?
Валентин Эдуардович паника неоправданна как по мне, но соглашусь что курс прогнозировать невозможно просто, мне кажется что Yamaha TRBX больнее универсальна НО, рекомендую зайти в магазин JAM на Позняках (если вы в Киеве находитесь) послушать, и сделать выбор

Скажите пожалуйста,как у этой ямахи с развесовкой-не клюёт ли она грифом.И хотелось бы услышать Ваше мнение-что лучше купить её или BB серию?Основное направление работы-игра в джаз-оркестре и игра с поп-солистами.
Баланс хороший, а мое мнение - лучше купить TRBX505 она более широка по выбору настроек, как минимум там есть 3-х полосный эквалайзер (такой же EQ есть и у ББ серий BB734A но такая модель будет дороже) Поэтому все зависит от бюджета. Если в ценовой категории трбх505 то лучше его

На 605й корпус из ольхи + топ. Остальное - такое же.
