  • This video is the 'dummy guide' for drone hobbyists who had gotten a Jumper T-Lite and had never used OpenTX radios before. :)

    I see a lot of YT's set up inputs this way. Just a heads up it's not necessary and adds work/time to setting up models. Just add the switch to the mixer channel and you're done in one step. Also the configurator is way faster as well. Thx

    Im thinking of getting this as its soooo much smaller and good to use for travelling.

      Go for it bro, it is a good radio for the price! My only complaint is that it is a pain to setup a CCPM RC Heli on it but this really is more of an OpenTX issue instead of the radio itself.

      @@terence79chan thing is, my current QX7 is still good. So... dont know yet.. maybe I'll get a pre-owned LOL and yesss.... thats one of the reasons why planes and helis use a specific type of radio

      @John Grzeskowiak I hopped onto the openTX wagon from an old DX7, so you are more familiar with the system than I am. Glad the video is still useful for u (interface-wise). The t-lite is indeed not very comfortable, but it’s a winner for its compact size and very affordable price. :)

      @John Grzeskowiak sweet man! Originally thats what I planned to do too... once this QX7 dies on me.

    nice guide! I used this radio for a few days. The feel was great and it was so convenient, but sadly it was so difficult to remove the li ion for charging (I was told the li-ion charging circuit on these radios were faulty)

      Thanks for watching. It is indeed a hassle to remove the battery for charging. To improve the battery placement, I had replaced the ground metal tab with a spring contact taken from the battery compartment of a faulty TV controller. :)

      I have the opposite problem. I feel like its so loose when I take it out that I have to make sure it is making good contact. My battery is flat on both sides. Besides you charge it directly from the radio. Why would you have to keep removing it? Too much of a hassle...

      Good point,, I will try to charge it directly.

    Hey Terence, when I navigate to Internal RF, there is no MULTI option for mode. I only have CRSF or OFF. Any idea how I can get it to show MULTI? Thanks.

    • @terence79chan
      @terence79chan  Рік тому

      Hey Andrew, I believe you are having the crossfire version, the version in the video is the 4in 1 multi protocol version. Do note that for the 4 in 1, there are 2 types as well, one has dsm support and the other has frsky support.

      @@terence79chan Hello Terence. So how do I get it to show the 4 in 1 Multi version instead of crossfire? Thanks

    late comment, but what about turtle mode? is it about the same settings or what could i do to add turtle mode?

    • @terence79chan
      @terence79chan  9 місяців тому

      Turtle mode needs to be enabled on the Betaflight flight controller. There are many videos on how to set up that mode and then u could assign a switch on your radio for it, which is similar to how u assign a switch for the flight modes.

    I know this is an old video, but i just cannot get it to bind with a dsmx drone i have (mobula 7 2s). any advice?

    • @terence79chan
      @terence79chan  6 місяців тому

      If you are able to find the dsm option in the menu, try all the sub options, auto, dsmx, dsm2 and etc. if possible, borrow a dsm receiver from a friend to see if you are able to bind to that. Sometimes it could be a receiver issue or the Mobula 7 2s dsmx receiver requires you to run a particular CLI command in Betaflight to prep it for binding. Check out the Mobula 7 thread in RC groups to find out the bind procedure.

    Hi sir dose this only connect to fav drones or any drones.

    • @terence79chan
      @terence79chan  Рік тому

      It depends on the protocol of receiver in your drone (example: dsmx, flysky, frsky, Futaba FAST, Walkera, etc). There are 2 versions of this controller on sale. One has a multi-module that supports DSM2/DSMX (no FRSKY support) and the other has multi-module that supports FRSKY(no DSM support). Do check with the seller if the supported protocols are not stated clearly in the sales description.
