Great video, super high quality! When you use the Rycote stickies to stick a lav mic under a shirt, does it pick up rustling sounds? I do exercise and movement videos outdoors, how do you suggest micing for best sound without other noises? I've used headsets, but I would prefer a lav mic. Thanks for the video!
They are the greatest! We pretty much always double lav our grooms. We've had 1 or 2 fail or issues in years past. It's extremely rare, but audio is just crucial for video. So I usually put on lav on the coat for easy audio. The second one I hide in a color or somewhere, for added wind protection if outside. All depends, but they are small so we like to double lav.
I do! the difference is the DR10CS isn't sold in the USA that I'm aware. Also, they are made not as a primary recorder. I believe the main focus of the CS version is to record the lad directly to the pack, then loop out a feed to a wireless transmitter. Adding redundancy and ability to monitor the feed.
I watched over 20 videos about lav mics and still don't understand one thing... how to record a sound for an interview with 3-4 participants, do I need to get DR-10L for each of them? And if so how does the audio capture, where is a recorder, do I need 4 recorders... is it going to be 4 separate audio tracks which I have to mix in post?.. Sorry for a noob question I honestly don't understand how lav-mics audio set up works when it's more than 2 people.
Bello News that’s actually a great question and not bad at all! It depends. If shooting a wedding. Each person is wearing a lav into its own recorder. Usually I have 4 going and then they all go into the editing program. But if it’s corporate. It’s different usually. Then I’ll start involving boom shotgun mics and you have to watch for phasing. I highly recommend diety microphones UA-cam Chanel. But also, comment your questions and I’ll film videos to cover those for you!
@@FlomFilmsOfficial Thank you very much. For me it's more like corporate - sit down interviews style for instance with 3 people on a couch and and standing nearby, sometimes only 2. Actually I'm looking for the overall solution to record audio with a really good quality (it's important) with a very compact set-up since my project will involve a lot of travelling and setting up the podcast'/news studio "on the go" - sometimes in a home of a talent, sometimes in an office. So far I've figured out that we would need LAV mics for each talent + shotgun mic with a boom pole overhead (for cover), with foldable carbon light boom stand. But I'm really struggling with lav mics... does it have to be so hard? 4 separate DR-10L, batteries... why isn't there a ONE RECORDER on which we could transmit 4 lav mics with 4 separate tracks? It's kind of more logical than to buy 4 recorders...) Is there something like this or 4 lav.mics = 4 recorders? P.s. Watching diety microphones UA-cam also) Thank you!
Love this. Thanks for being so forward!
Awesome vid thanks. I bought zoom H1n with Rode lav mic and Tascam DR-10L for tests and I'm staying with Tascam
Great vid. Hope you get more subscribers.
Tascam sounds pretty similar to the boom mic. Impressive. Getting the Tascam
The best Lav mic ever

Thanks for the video!
Does it have bad rustle under t shirts during activity?
Even though you can't monitor the Tascam, generally how well is the audio recording overall?
Does this come with a windshield?
How do you lav the bride?
I spot studio apparatus in the 2nd example with the bride speaking, I used to work there, haha.
Great eye! You’re right!

We have two of these, but I want to own like 4 or 5 so I never miss a moment! Btw, in what situation would you put two mics on a groom?

I’m def interested in these now. Does it sound okay when outside with slight wind?
If it's under clothing, it likely isn't a problem, OR you can rig a DYI windscreen, if necerssary.
nice vid mate.
You know the difference between tascam dr-10cs and tascam dr-10L?

Where did you hide the lav mic on the bride at 1:42
lol
