- A flag-raising ceremony was held in front of Preparatory Hall on Veterans Day. Students from RSU’s Oklahoma Army National Guard GOLD program raised the U.S. and Oklahoma flags, and the RSU and Oklahoma Military Academy flags.
The event marks the first official flag raising for the new flagpoles, which were installed as part of the recent renovation of University Drive and installation of the circle drive servicing Prep and Meyer Halls. This is the first time in school history there have been three flagpoles on campus.

I really adore the procces of raising the flag..because i have ever raised the flag too in my school ceremony 🙏I was so nervous at that time i was nervous n afraid if the flag wont be unfolding well but overrall the flag was unfolding well ahahah✌

Hi Long Duy. The trumpet song featured during this flag ceremony is "Reveille," a bugle call used to accompany the raising of the National Colors.
Why can’t there be more military women be involved in raising the flag?

One morning years ago while staying the night at a hotel on-base we hear the distinct sound of a bugle call followed by rings of a bell and then the playing of “To the Colors” along with “Reveille, Reveille, Reveille” through COMS.
All I will say my wife was not happy. I on the other hand popped outa bed like a fresh boot in his first few weeks of training. I did it so fast & without any hesitation or thought that it woulda made any DI, CC, SM or MTI extremely proud.
An interesting side note is later on I found out through the front desk that in fact nobody, through intercoms or otherwise, yells out “Reveille, Reveille, Reveille” at any point in time during this time honored tradition at this particular hotel. On top of that I was told that this hotel, Hotel Del Monte, is in fact haunted!! 🤔😳😱
I don’t care what anyone says, haunted ghost or otherwise, I still believe I heard “Revellie, Reveille, Reveille” over a loud speaker at 0630.
