I’m glad I saw it, just did it like 20 minutes ago with only two people. Not even an NCO… Guess that as long as it doesn’t touch the ground we are good.
Very informative. I wish I could hear the commands given as I was just assigned flag privilege for Monday and an now researching all the commands and procedures. I have the post SOP which lists everything but it's nice to see it done in real time. My SOP is a little different than what is described here but that's to be expected since every place has it's own way. The big difference for me is the method of folding the flag which I will have to track down as they use a fan fold
I got assigned this detail. i was supposed to shadow someone before i did it. the guy i was supposed to shadow didnt show up, so they ended up putting me in his position. I had no knowledge of what I was doing. and made a complete embarrasment out of myself.
@@BillStoker I could be wrong, but the TC does not outline HOW to conduct the retreat ceremony from the detail side, only the company level side. Could you advise if I'm missing it?
@@VictoryAviation I think that it only outlined the main procedures in chapter 17, Appendix I, while stating that the exact procedures are determined by local authorities. But I am not sure
@@BillStoker Thank you! This was the source I looked at. But I think it did not include the exact procedures and stated that the exact procedures are to be determined by local authorities. Is that right? I am trying to improve the flag detail in our school. Would you mind sharing a way for me to contact you for questions regarding the precise procedures?

What are all the commands for the NCOIC during the folding of the flags. I’ve heard multiple versions
I have it tomorrow with the big boy. 😅

Hate that happened!
Is there a reference for the procedures? And where can I find that? Thanks, and good video! by the way.

Let's say there is a tragic event and the order goes out to lower the flag to half staff...what would be the procedure there?
Same - raise to full, lower to half.
