I went to see the slim Citizen eco drive watches, but they just didn't move the needle for me...I was walking out and noticed the Bulova 98b422 Surveyor...that burgundy dial with the rose gold accents caught me off guard... way better looking than any photo or UA-cam video I've seen of it ..looks fantastic in the sunlight ..purchased that one!

Timex is killing it in 2024. I have a north expedition automatic field watch, its great value for the specs. Titanium, 200M, sapphire crystal, automatic movement. And it looks good and super legible. The GMTs that came out look great too. Thanks for this upload Chris and for covering the aforementioned watches as well!
Just got the Seiko SRPL15 the new blacked out Samurai. The best Seiko release this year in my opinion. It's a stone cold stunner. Retails for only $750 CAD.
@WatchChris I just got the titanium timex deepwater reef. I really love it, but I am having the lume issue on the hands. It looked like yours also had weaker lume. Have you noticed yours has loud rotor sounds when moving your wrist? Also mine oddly has a stuttering second hand between 2 and 5, but only when on my wrist facing me. Flat or facing away the second hand seems fine. I love the way it looks on my wrist, but I am considering returning it with the weird issues.
The price for Accutron is just bonkers with Miyota 9K. It must be the most expensive watch in the world with that. I just had to rewind to check if I heard it correctly, because the second part of the sentence was "it's actually a pretty good deal". For God's sake, it's Accutron, 100% made in China, no disrespect to them, but we have a good idea, how much they would charge to make such watch. For the same price you get Longines GMT for example, or add a grand and buy a CW masterpiece.
Timex $1 watch sold out online in less than 1 min. I saw only the "you're early" page, and reloaded every 15 seconds or so, and the next page I got was "sold out".
I tried to get one of the TIMEX 170th anniversary watches. There are no boutiques where I am so I tried online. The moment they went on sale I hit the place in cart button. It looked like it was going to go through but then it put me in queue. Then a message popped up that said 30 minutes. Two minutes later it said Sold Out!
I don't know what's worse, missing out on the Timex $1 watch (was never going to happen anyway) or getting the 'something catch your eye?' e-mail from Timex because I clicked on the product page
you can get a citizen gmt marine for about 350 online that it seems timex copied. and the citizen is titanium. i did order a deepwater gmt pepsi just for the look

1. Way overpriced. Should have used a precisionist movement and made it $500. Bulova can’t get out of their own way. 2. Cool, if you want a unique $1000 Chinese watch 3. Neither good nor bad 4. Timex have been on a roll lately. On a whim got me the Marlin Chrono and the mf is absolutely stunning. Good to see them do well.
While I love my green Bel Canto, the new ones certainly look great.....with a touch of Breguet thrown in.

That world timer is reversed somehow. Normally you get Hong Kong Tokyo Sydney but here you get Sydney Tokyo Hong Kong
