- ITF West 9319 S. Airport Blvd Queing app based travel Lyft Uber will be done at this location as the existing Avis car lot will be moved from here into the new CONRAC building in 2024.
The Intermodal Transportation Facility - West (ITF-West) parking structure & mobility hub will provide travelers with convenient access to LAX without needing to enter the Central Terminal Area. Following construction completion in 2021, a free shuttle will provide direct access to the terminal. In 2025, the ITF-West Parking Structure will be directly connected to the new Automated People Mover (APM) train system via two pedestrian bridges. It will then reach its full vision to create a mobility hub where passengers can be dropped off, picked up, or park and ride the APM directly to the terminals.
LAX’s $5.5-billion Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP). The LAMP consists of five major components: the Consolidated Rent- A-Car (ConRAC) facility, the Automated People Mover (APM) train system, the ITF-West parking structure, connection to Metro via the future Airport Metro Connector (AMC) Station, and roadway improvements throughout the LAX area.

Good video. Thanks for the informational description regarding the LAMP project.
Great update! However the lack of urgency in finishing this project is obvious and so endemic to everything about LA these days. Other world cities have built entirely new international airports in a fraction of the time it took to add these urgently needed facilities.
Current leaders need to be removed from office this is absolutely ridiculous!!
The issue is that in places like LA,NYC and Chicago you need to keep the existing infrastructure running. Other places around the world usually shut down the area completely hence speeding up the process. Both approaches have their pros and cons and tbh LAX has gone through enough renovations in the last 5 years to be considered a brand new mega airport
Do you not realize how busy LA is? You just can't halt people from traveling around or stopping everything for infrastructure. You work intermittently, it's not Kansas.
The problem is all of California’s insane environmental review boards
Cool!
Hey John, thanks for the updates. Was wondering the status, since retirement.
Lacy Smith,
Airports Supt. of Ops (Ret.)
Welcome, thanks for watching.
When is this expected to open?

Long Ass Mothereffin Project
Accurate
What a boondoogle!!! Makes it longer and more complicated to yo get to the planes
The whole system is to elaborate if they only made it simple instead of focussing on how pretty it looks . The whole system would be open by now
It'll open soon. Might as well be as nice as they can make it.
That makes no sense, considering this system will last for many, many decades. Better build it so it looks great, too.
What about concourse 0
What would you like to know? Currently LAX-IT resides where Concourse 0 will be. It likely will not be complete by 2028.
