Great job on the video. Great info. FYI - I used a SanDisk 128GB ExtremePro SDXC Class 10 V30 U3 card in my TACTACAM Reveal C 3.0 PRO Trail Cam. I enjoy creating videos so that's why I use a large card. The glow will not scare the wildlife. This is a great choice for any location. Have a great Deer Season.
Just got a 2 pack for Christmas hope I can find this again next year when I set them up, one concern is mounting them so low don't you have any trouble with bears
i feel your pain, bears have given me plenty of headaches with my cameras. fortunately, they have only destroyed ONE camera so far, they usually just knock them down or spin them around. good luck!
Thanks/helpful , Never owned any , like the computer set up ( am I able to do it all on computer ) Only want to use phone for set up picture in the woods . Can I have the pictures sent to the computer and not the phone ? Afer the 250 pictures does it just stop untill next month ? I'm going to start with pictures only would I be better using the 2.0 vs 3.0 ?
Hi steve, if you are new to cell cams, you definitely want to use the X 3.0. it is much easier to set up and use than the Pro. I believe that you can set up the camera with a computer, but if you will have the app on your phone already, its MUCH simpler to set up with your phone. the app has many more features than the online website. if you use up all of your pictures, it will keep taking pics, but not send them, once the next billing cycle starts, the camera will then start sending pics again. you can buy "overage" protection which will automatically bill you $5 for another 250 (?) pics each month. Good luck this year! Here is a link to buy the Reveal X 3.0 on amazon. amzn.to/3Yu4K4p
It is different than the 2.0. There is no more “SIM card”. Everything is internal to the camera. When you turn the camera on, it automatically detects the best cell signal and uses that network.
when you receive the pics/videos, they are stored in the Tactacam App, not your phone. yes, you can delete them if you like, but IMO, it really isnt necessary. also, if you delete them off the App, they are still on the memory card or the internal memory card of the camera. thanks for watching! - Tight Lines 'n Short Blood Trails
@@carlo_scarpino this is it, they are out of stock right now on Amazon, and pretty sure I saw him post that he will be out of stock for another week or two. amzn.to/3Ybdptr
If you can’t plug it into your Mac, you can use an SD card adapter. OR, you can format the card through the app once it’s in the camera and the camera is activated
My camera is not downloading images onto SD card. Used same SD cards (tactacam that came with X3) on X2 to make sure it works..also what is the service port for?
you can set it to send check in pics twice a day. you can not select the time. there is also an on demand feature, but i do not recommend it because you have to adjust some settings that will eat your battery pretty fast
@@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors ok, my X-pro will send the video to the gallery but when i click to view it… A green cross hairs like a scope pops up. Will not let me play the video that i request
@@carlo_scarpino that sounds like you may have a weak signal at the camera, or a bad cell signal on your phone. that happens to me occasionally if my phone doesnt get a good signal. takes a while for the video to download to the app
yes it will, however, it will send you a pic, and you have to click on it and request the video to be sent. the video is then sent the next time the camera checks in (that check in timeframe is adjustable in the camera settings)
Damn, that sucks! Sometimes it can take time for the camera to show up on the map. If whoever stole it turned it off, it might not show. Contact Tactacam, they can flag it as stolen
Uh…. Their customer service is amazing. They have Facebook groups where the reps answer questions within minutes. And the manual is digital now. The card that comes with the camera has a code you scan and it will bring you right to the manual. Also, during set up, there are complete and clear instructions. My advice, learn what you are doing before you go and try to insult one of the best camera companies out there.

Does the sim setup work the same for different carriers like the x2.0? I assume it does.

Does this Herd 360 solar panel charge the Tactacam v2 battery pack?

Try a new SD card or format the one you have.

How does the gps work
Seems to work just fine. The camera uploads its position, and it shows up in the app. Sometimes, it might take 24 hours to upload.
mine still says pending camera check in
Try turning it off and back on again. Also, check your settings to see how often it is supposed to check in
Did you get a fix for this? Mine does the same thing and I cannot figure it out.
that video is to clear to be tactacam lmbo, how u get it so clear?
Camera video and pic clarity greatly depends on the ambient light and closeness of whatever triggers it.
So my reveal 3.0 doesn’t show up on the map… idea why?
It was just stolen…. had it out there for all of 3 days.

I must have gotten a dud
Why? Honestly, I find that about 80% of the time, when cameras don’t work, it’s user error
