I think most people making the "burrito" comments are speaking from a full or content stomach. I saw this before I ate breakfast and thought, "mmm. Burritos! What sauce did he add?" 😉

My favorite is how Paul is like a superhero who just drops what he’s doing and heads to the rescue. Also, Lizzy rocks.

There are so many ways that could have gone wrong, but there she is with a great attitude and a smile.

My company has started using your videos as training for our field crews going out into desert environments - this one reminded me of a recovery my platoon did in Afghanistan to prevent a 40 ton truck from rolling down a hill. Great content!
For the winch connection, In the words of Red Green : “This is only temporary, unless it works”.
I built a temporary hoist for my log splitter with scrap fence posts and water pipe as a proof of concept before building a real one...8 years ago. My wife just repainted it again over the past winter.
There is no way that Matt will know who Red Green is. He could never get a Canadian TV station down there. But I do see the similarities. Keep your stick on the ice... or in this case, the wheels.

I loved Red Green, there is still a You Tube channel for those old shows.I loved the one where he mounted his boat motor on the side so the prop shaft would self propel his trailer tire , and tried to drive it. Hilarious stuff. RedGreenTV

I have watched a lot of these recovery videos now. I think that this is the first one where I was sincerely concerned for Lizzie's well being. You all bring a lot of joy to my life. Good luck in all of your future rescues!

Ed never back chats Matt like that, and she was super cool in the Excursion which was basically perched on the side of a cliff. Oh, and Randy is sooooooo sweet on Lizzy. That could not have been clearer.

It’s incredible how easy you made almost impossible recoveries.
This is an awesome groups of people that work well under pressure even under the worst circumstances. There is no yelling or drama and everyone knows what it takes to get each job done along with throwing some humor in the mix. Companies of all kinds should use this channel for their employees on how to work together.

I have a couple comments on this one. The pin-striping on the Excursion is impressive! Even more impressive, you all eating that food for breakfast on your way up a mountain with no restrooms! Lizzy sure is a fearless young lady crawling in that Excursions as well!

One thing I love about your videos, is that they're not at all staged.
Me and my wife watch these together started around when we where home bound during the pandemic and I just wanna thank you and your family because we started watching for the crazy recovery and stayed for the great family friendly and just the general way positivity and values shows threw in the way you all work together gave us something positive to watch in a time where alot of scary stuff going on so from our family to yours Thanks alot and God bless

Exactly, that thing can go anywhere. When I saw him drive up that hill to get a better angle and when he came down from there at the end, that is a serious off road truck. Paul and Matt have serious driving skills. Paul's Tacoma looks like one of those Australian Overland trucks.

Matt, I wanted to say, I found your channel accidently one day, and I've been glued to it ever since. I'm in Florida, in a very highly populated area, so I really know nothing about off-roading at all, but you and that jeep just always seem to get it done. That is an insanely capable rig that you have built there. Surprises me every time on where you take that thing. I very much enjoy your channel, and enjoy watching you devise ways to rescue these people who have gotten themselves, and their vehicles into situations that are way over their heads. I very much enjoy the realness of it, it's a nice change from all of the scripted videos, and TV that is around these days. The scenery is absolutely beautiful out there. Congrats to you and your team for making some of the most entertaining content that I've seen in while on UA-cam. Keep going like you are. It's an amazing channel. I cannot wait to see what's next.
When you’re from Hurricane, it feels cold when the temps drop below 80 degrees. ;)
I mean 105 to 80 is a decent temp drop.
last week it was 110 at my work and yesterday morning when I got there it was 46, had to throw on a jacket to drive the quad out to the cows lol.
From September 8 through September 12, the low temperatures in Hurricane were in the 50s. And, since this recovery was early in the morning, and in the mountains, I would guess it was fairly chilly.
They are in the desert. It gets cold at night.

Ford Excursion almost turned into a new subcompact version of a heavy Ford Edge. A very plausible and literal outcome had they not called the man with the plan!

That is what I thought, I couldn't find a Vail, UT.
You are not the only one...I went directly to searching Bull Mtn in Utah...figured it couldn't be Vail, CO.
I am amazed that so many people are interested in off road towing and recovery. I need to start recording some of the recoveries that I do. I am the guy that gets the call when all other companies have failed or gave up. I often recover vehicles that are crime scenes or have been dumped and plenty of insurance jobs.
Matt , I am thoroughly "Impressed" Buddy . You are spot on with the national Signal for " Stop" (Patent that slick move) at 10:41 in the video . Great job as always I noticed too early for "Ed" to assist.
