i could never picture what my house would want to look like until i saw your guys house. Good job.
Thank you for the kind words Andon! 😊
I can't remember the last time I saw a home walkthrough where I didn't think at least once or twice, I wouldn't do that, or that's a mistake. But you guys have totally nailed it. Again fantastic future planning knowing what helps resale value if that is a route you go and in the meantime totally fitting your likes and dislikes...you two are a great team it comes through so very clearly... keep at it you are doing great.
BKK, thank you for the kind words! Can’t express how much that means. Many hours have been spent making decisions, trying to tie everything together so really appreciate it! We’ve been very fortunate to be able to do this together, we are learning tons 😁
@@FarisandLisa I have no doubt you are going to do well in whatever you choose in life. It's good to see two youngsters with such focus and an open mind to learn. Its going to serve you well going forward in your life.
Great work guys, am hoping to see more of your videos, can't wait to see new update. Great work guys keep it up 👍 God bless you two
I was wondering how the house was going my fellow Michiganders. Nice job!.
Congratulations 🎊 😊! Absolutely great layout.
1️⃣. Did you consider having a bathroom for each bedroom? Keeps the (future) kids in harmony.
2️⃣. Did you consider a half bath? Great having one for guests when having cookouts/parties.
3️⃣. The 1st thing to install in the basement: a bathroom!!
In my 60+ years I've learned bathrooms bring so much harmony to everyday living 👨👩👧👦.
Keep up the good work and many blessings to your life and family!

Everything is coming together nicely❤
Thank you!! ♥️♥️
I honestly think a bedroom should be down stairs plus you guys already have the bathroom their. You can purpose it as a game room or his office for the time. Plus that will have the potential of six bedroom if you want in the resale
Great idea!! I’ve always had a dream to have a room just full of bunk beds if we were to host a lot of people, could be a possibility!
I was just going to comment this, definitely a bedroom in the basement.
I LOVE the color combination! Beautiful home. Congrats! ❤
Thank you!! Appreciate it 😊
Love the exterior colors! Ranch is very rare in today’s home buying experience. Our next home will be a ranch as we are getting older don’t want stairs
Love your beautiful home ❤
You must be excited for it to be finished! It's Looking great!
So excited!! Hoping to get it done by September 😁
Love the dark office concept!! Can't wait to see it!!
I love the tour. Can't wait for it to complete ❤
Thank you!! Us too 😊
The different terms are interesting!! In Australia we call 'drywall" "gyprock". We also call "pocket door" "sliding cavity door".
Hahah that’s crazy! Never heard those before 😂
When you start putting in furniture, cabinets, appliances, etc will you give links to where you got it all? It would be wonders!!!!
I love your content
Keep going loving all of it cheers
Will do!! Thank you 😊
I’m loving this 😍😍
Thank you 🥰
Super nice!! Thank you for sharing your life and also Thank you for making the video longer!!
And thank you for watching !! Appreciate all your support 😊
Yes W Build
awesome one
Thank you!!
Amazing layout
Thank you, appreciate it!
Looks great! If you don't mind me asking, what bank did you use for lending?
Beautiful home! Love the layout and open spaces. What is the square footage on the floor plan?
Thank you!! The house is 2,800 sf
Beautiful home! We're in the process of designing and building our own home and your taste matches what we'd like...mountain craftsman style with timber trusses in the gables, stone accents, board & batten and shakes. We found an amazing piece of property in eastern Tennessee a few years ago with my dream mountain view, so this style is perfect for our setting. Your floor plan is very similar to ours and I loved seeing your walk-through. I just discovered your channel and am enjoying your content. You have a new subscriber. Congratulations!
I have one question. What is the pitch on your main roof with your entry and great room? It looks like a 10:12 or 12:12....so steep but beautiful!
Always love to see the updates and progress. Looking forward to seeing the as the house is completed. Any total cost updates?
Thank you!! Working on the stone now, so that was $10k in just materials. Working on staining as well, probably one of the hardest decisions so far because we have so much wood in the house. We’re working with a log company for our t&g which will be a few thousand. After that we have tile, trying to keep that under $5/sf in the mud room and bathrooms.
Hi, I am from India beautiful house
Great video! At the end could you guys do a breakdown of how much you think you saved by doing all this work yourself? (I.e what it would have cost without the DIY work?)
Thanks Hannah! And yes we definitely plan to run the numbers. Well do a final budget video
Seems like a ginormous project. Both cost wise and well as the build itself. How long or when do you expect to be able to move in?
It definitely is, the amount of time, brainpower, and capital is high. But at the same time we aspire to become full time builders in the future so it’s a big learning experience and something we can do together. Hoping to move in before our wedding in September, we’re pushing it 😅
@@FarisandLisa September? That’s just around the corner. God luck😁 hope you get there. Definitely looking forward to see the buildings finished and you moving in😁. You must have saved up some serious cash and obviously still need some cash flow into your bank account. I do wonder what you guys do for a living though
Are you guys planning on fencing the yard?
Wasn’t planning on it! It’s pretty private, but we also don’t have a dog, just yet 😁
Do you have an estimate on total cost of house! I saw your short video that says 408k, but it didn’t look finished in the vid! Thank you, Scot
Hi Scott, we made a long video all about our budget.
ua-cam.com/video/-_k3Mtq3HV4/v-deo.html
We are still not finished. Some of the costs are still estimates.
looks like you did 9ft ceilings with 8ft doors? Is that correct? Not sure if you mentioned that before.
Yes, that’s correct! We went back and forth between 6.8”or 8” doors and we’re happy we went with 8! We compared the door prices and they weren’t significantly different.
Is this 2800 sq ft on the main?
When will your home be complete?
Our goal is to be in before our wedding in September, we’re pushing it 😆
Where’s the tail at now for this project? Just watched the first video
An HOA that far out in the boonies? Ugh - I had an HOA once.... ONCE. Never again.
Why get the house done with finished brick, then put silly tiles over them.!!!?
I am confused where are we putting tile over brick?
girl get a trash compactor instead of a normal trash can. ik u got the money lmao
You seem to be in the middle of nowhere, not in a neighborhood, and yet you still have an HOA? You should have bought land somewhere else. US has lost their damn minds with the HOA nonsense.
